Kail after what had happened at the battle with Scorpio had dragged Valdis back to his house. When he got in though he fended off his mother and dogged questions as he went to his room with Val in his arms. Once he got to his room and laid his friend down on the bed. He got in the same bed and passed out like a light. His pet fox Aiko stayed outside of the door and guarded it with its life. Knowing that her master had one hell of a night. The redhead slept hard but had some pleasant dreams all though it ended abruptly as he woke up. Kail felt his entire body and it was sore and tired, it took him a bit just to sit up and look at the girl that was sleeping next to him.

He had remembered what had happened the other day with Valdis as the young man saw her transform into some kind of monster. It had worried him that she went that far to help them. But for Kail, he knew that something else going on with Valdis. The redhead had wished he paid more attention but the battle had been intense and brutal like real war. Something that even though he did his best to write it in his books. It did not compare to what he saw and felt in reality. "Just....what happened out there" he said silently.

Vals night had been anything but peaceful as the young girl battled with nightmares from her past. Her unconscious form only allowed her body to recuperate from the stress it had been put through. Valdis face was contorted in pain. Dream after dream she relived her darkest moments; added to it was a mix of Scorpios own memories which only added to the confusion. Her night was spent in this darkness as the battle with herself continued long after she had passed out on the battle field. A constant stream of tears trailed down her sleeping face.

It wasn't long after Kail had sat up that Val would suddenly lurch forward with a yell, her purple hair a mess around her. Her face was one of pure panic as she scrambled out of the positions she had been in only to topple out of the bed and onto the floor. She scuttled into a corner gripping the sides of her head with her hands. Sobs wracking her body as her eyes were squeezed shut in a futile attempt to block the scene that played out within her mind. Her knees were tucked up tight against her chest as her body trembled.

When Kail saw Valdis rise up like that he was going to say something but then she released a scream. It was a scream of pure and utter terror and the look on her face was the same. Before he could touch her, Valdis just fell off the bed and scramble to the corner of his room. Never before in his life saw such utter fear and terror. Then the crying and that nearly brought him to tears, it was someone he knew a friend, that and her eyes were the main things. As if he could see into her and it sent shivers down his spine. Kail gets out of his bed and carefuly moves to Valdis and kneels down close to her. He then pulls her into his arms hugging and holding her. "I don't know if you can say anything to tell me whats going on. But I am here Valdis and no one is going to harm you" he said.

He gently rocks Valdis and rubs her back gently letting the poor girl cry into his shoulders. At the same time not trying not to cry, as if he did not know how to help Valdis at all. Kail did what he good to try and ease whatever was plaguing her.

Her voice choked out between sobs, a voice of someone who was broken. While the language may have been her native tongue its mournful plea was easy to understand. Even as he pulled her into an embrace her hands still clutched her head, nails digging into the scalp drawing blood. As if the external pain would relieve the torture she was going through. As blood trickled down her fingers the girl seemed to calm for a moment. Tortured violet yes looking up at Kail.

"I can't stand to see their faces any more..."

Tears welled up in her eyes again; as once more the sobs wracked her trembling form. She wailed as one who had their world ripped from them. One who lost a vital piece of what made them live. Valdis buried her face into Kails chest. She would stay like that for a good while, until her body was too exhausted to cry anymore...leaving just a shell of a whimpering girl.

"It's the visions; it makes it so much worse"

Kail stayed silent as Valdis cried and got worried when she started to draw blood from her head. As well as speaking in romani something he almost never heard of. He was about to do something until she calmed slightly but was still a wreck. Kail still kept holding her rubbing her gently on her back. Then hearing her speak about what she saw in the past. She continued to cry her eyes out until she stopped but was still feeling sad or whatever terror was still in her mind that she could not shake. The redhead took a bit of what he knew and tried to add somethings together in his mind. Some kind of catastrophic event happened had happened in Valdis's life in the past. Then some visions were making her relive those events again. He did not know exactly what had happened in Valdis's past. But whatever it was though had left scars that would last for a lifetime.

"I...can not give you complete comfort from the things that plague your mind. Nor can I stop what your seeing. But I am right here for you Valdis" he said in a pure and honest tone that he did care for the girl. Even though she had caused him some hell and other kinds trouble she was still a friend he made. "If I could make them stop I would" he said still trying to ease her pain.

Val stayed like that for a while longer, a blank ghost like stare on her face. Eventually Valdis seemed to be coming to as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, and slowly pushed herself into a sitting position out of Kails embrace. She ran a hand over her face and took a deep breath, still gathering herself back together. A process which she had done more times then she wished.

"No one can make them stop..."

A deep sigh escaped her; the harden stare slowly coming back in her gaze hiding the raw wound that was hidden beneath. One by one she would reply the mental barriers that kept her sane. She rested her head on the post of the bed.

"...Did I sleep with you there all night......"

She looked over at him an amused look in her eyes.

"What will your mother say..."

A giggle escaped her lips, an insane switch to what she was like moments before. But this was the Valdis he met with everyday. One that grasped at amusement where ever she could find it...to distract from the visions that haunted her. However when she noticed the worried expression on his face her mask melted away once more.

"I suppose I owe you an explanation now..."

She knew she owed him one but wasn't sure where to start...

Kail was silent and would at least wipe some of the tears off of Valdis's face. He then sees her move away and do some kind of thing to get her senses back together. The redhead left her be while she was trying to center herself. Then Valdis got herself together again and was back to herself even her sense of humor. "Eh.....I don't think she could say anything with her standing guard. And you did...perhaps harder then me" he said and pointed over to Aiko who was now sleeping in front of the door. Seeing as her job was done with, the fox deserved the rest and then Kail came back to look at Valdis.

"Only if you want to Valdis. Since it has left some deep scars in you, So I am not going to push the matter on you. I am worried yes, but I know its going to hurt you more if you talk about it" he said knowing that it would dive into her past and make her relive these bad memories. So the young man left it up to Valdis to do what she wanted on this. "If you want to talk though lets go to the kitchen. I don't think we ate anything since yesterday from lunch" he said to Valdis as he slowly started to get up from the floor.

Valdis looked over at the fox, thankful that she had put it upon herself to guard them from the angry mother...one that they would likely have to face today.

"...Is it sad...I think I rather face Scorpio again then the questions we're going to get from your mum...she doesn't strike me as the just let it go type."

They would need to think of a good excuse to explain why Kail had carried her home unconscious and then passed out in his bed with her. Because she was sure that the mother's imagination was running wild.

"What are we planning on telling your mother...we always could mess with her a bit."

She waggled her eyebrows; she was always one for giving a parent a couple more grey hairs. Plus she needed some amusement right now. Valdis was silent when he gave her the decision on whether she wanted to share. Honestly she didn't want to have to explain it; but then again she had caused unintentional discomfort to Kail. Her own sense of duty told her she owed him at least some understanding on what had happened. After a while she looked back at Kail who was already standing. She pushed herself to her feet and ran a hand through her long slightly tangled hair.

"I feel that I owe you an explanation."

At the mention of food Val looked a bit green at the thought, after seeing what she saw her appetite wasn't exactly there despite the fact she hadn't eaten in a while...however she was extremely thirsty. So she nodded and motioned for him to lead the way.

Kail nods his head and leads Valdis to the kitchen and starts making some tea. "I am sure some of us will, But I am sure that the Scorpio attack would have gotten media attention. So making a lie would not be too hard he said and then thought about she owed him an explanation. "Alright....Valdis if that's what you want you want to do. Then tell me what's going on with you" he said and pulls out a chair for her to sit in. The redhead also saw that she was totally a mess from the other day. Kail would have to get her something to wear and had remembered that there was something that could be used.

The young man would do his best to get Valdis back and looking healthy enough to get her home. As Kail himself was not feeling too good himself due to the massive battle with Scorpio.

"I wonder what lie my father will feed the masses; covering up a Zodiac is going to be an interesting challenge. Especially since no one has been able to touch a Zodiac yet, never mind bring one down. If he's wise he'll probably claim the Senshi are a new type of weapon that the military came up with; that or cover up the senshi involvement completely."

She nodded a thanks when he pulled out a chair for her to sit in and took a seat. Resting her head in the palm of her hand. This situation was embarrassing; she had made a scene and she knew it. It had been years since she had an episode like that in front of another person. Usually she was alone in her room when the attacks hit. She was ashamed to have someone see what was underneath all the masks. Ashamed and vulnerable; yes she had told Nazo about her past much like she was going to tell Kail. But Nazo hadn't seen how broken it had made her. She took a deep breath; she might as well get the story over with.

"Back in Transylvania I lived in a small community; my mother was a flouriest. Her gardens were the pride of the town. Me and my friends would play in those gardens everyday; it was like a small paradise."

A fond wistful smile came on her face.

"The gardens were like forts so most of the kids from town would play there...it was a close community. So...when my mother fell ill things weren't as difficult as they could be. Someone was always there to help my mom with a chore or two when she was too tired. I was around five at the time; not yet old enough to recognize the signs. My mom always did her best to smile; it wasn't until one day she just didn't have the strength to get out of bed anymore...They brought her to the hospital; our house and gardens were sold...it was enough to pay for my mother's hospital bills and my care. A year came and went and when my mom needed rest I spent most of my time in the children's ward. At night my mom would sit and tell me stories; mostly of angels and fairytales...at the hospital death was common. The sound of flat lines always marking when a bustle to come."

When the tea came she grasped it and stared at the steam rising from the cup.

"I was in my mom's lap listening to a story when the flat line went off in her room; there was such a peaceful smile on her face. I didn't quite understand at the time what had happened I just remember being told when I asked to see my mother that she wasn't going to be able to see me anymore.."
Valdis took a sip of her tea.

"In hind sight now I am thankful my mother died a peaceful death; she had time to make her peace and the most of the time she had left. At that time I hadn't known I had a father; while things were being prepared for her funeral I was told my mom had sent a letter out to my biological father. He was on his way from Japan to attend the funeral. When he arrived he was cold and distant...I couldn't understand a word he said. All I was told was that I would be going to live with him...leave Transylvania leave all my friends. I kicked him in the shins and ran away..."

She chuckled a bit; more than sure her father had a few choice words for that translator for that reaction.

"I didn't see him again until everyone was gathered at the church..."

She gripped the tea cup a little tighter; her eyebrows knitted together. The next part of the story was the one which took the most effort. For it was the part that plagued her dreams.

"We heard ear piercing screams from outside and then chaos...through the glass stained windows behind my mothers casket monsters burst through. Horrible disfigured beasts claws dripping with gore...the priest was the first to go...fallowed by others. Those beasts ripped through their bodies as if they were mere play doe. Didn't matter old, young, mother or child....I saw the children I had played with murdered with their families. Glassy eyes stuck in a horrified gaze. It was a madness as everyone rushed for the doors...I couldn't do anything but stand there. My father grabbed me and begun to rush towards the door. I remember I was screaming for my mom one of the last things I saw was her body rolled out on the floor...same peaceful smile."

She rested her head in the crook of her arm while she laid her head face down on the table.

"When I'm reliving those moments all I can see are the faces of my friends. The modge podge family that had gathered together threw out my mom's illness. People who never stood a chance; it was such a blood bath you couldn't tell which body parts belonged to which people...The whole village was massacred that day. My father, myself and a few survivors were airlifted out; and thus my life began in Japan and my nightmares began"
She looked back up at Kail; a tired haunted expression on her features.

"Yesterday I was struck with a vision of Scorpios past; I saw the earth the way it was far in the past...I saw the betrayal of the earth kingdom fallowed by the massacre of the moon kingdom. My visions make it as though I lived as well...all the emotions; sights, sounds, smells everything. It was a much larger scale then my little village."

She rubbed her eyes.

"That vision triggered the episode of my past;....there not as often as they use to be but every now and then I will suffer an episode. The visions just aggravated the condition."

It was likely she would suffer her episodes for the next few weeks; but the information she had gained was worth the suffering.

Kail was still at the stove and making tea "Meh whatever on that, He's going to do whatever will be good to make his own image look good" he said not liking politics as it always left a bitter taste into his mouth. The redhead watches Valdis slink into a chair and then start her tale and turns to face her. Her story sounded nice at first with her mother and the other children playing. After that though it got very sad and knew it was going to be sadder as it went on. Kail had remembered her speaking of her mother and her flowers and did not realize that she was a florist. From there first meeting several days ago. As his mind reflected from the whirlwind of things that happened in his life. It was cut short as the tea was ready and Kail quickly served it to Valdis. He then got his own cup and sat down.

It was sad about Valdis's mother but at the same time agreed with her about a peaceful death. Kail listens to the part about meeting her father and could not help but laugh. At the fact that she kicked her father in the shin and running off. Perhaps in tipical action that Valdis would have done if she were older. But the feeling around him changed as the atmosphere around her changed. As she told the day of the massive covenant attacks. The descriptions that she gave just sent shivers down his spine and it made him look a bit green. Espeacialy the part about her mother's dead body falling out of the casket and then the smile looking at her. Even then the dismembered corpses and the glassy eyed people were enough to get him the images.

Then Kail hears about her seeing Scorpio's past life and mentioning of the Moon Kingdom. He could understand why the visions would trigger Valdis's breaking down like that. "That is quite a story.....what you have told me does not change my views on you. As I still see you as a strong person.....but you have a lot more demons in your closet then all of as combined. So if you need a safe place to gather yourself up. My home is open to you" he said finaly speaking after for so long as he wanted Valdis to get his undivided attention.

"My father does what he believes will cause the least amount of panic. The senshi if positively publicized would show vigilantly to be acceptable and encourage. The order of society would fall into chaos if everyone decided they could do a better job at taking down the covenant. There could be dire consequences if that were to happen...If we were negatively publicized then panic, we're a force that just took down a Zodiac; I would imagine we would be feared greatly for that fact alone."

Valdis rubbed the bridge of her nose, knowing the difficulty her father must be facing. In his job there was no black and white, a wrong move could mean devastation.

"Image in his job is as important as the decisions he makes. In dark times people look to leaders, they expect them to be strong enough to handle what comes their way. ..He always told me that if you are in a position where people look to for guidance it is your duty to provide the image that they are looking for."

A broken child was not good for image...

Val finished the tea, the warm feeling of it going down her throat brought some comfort. She had been thankful Kail had listened to her story with little to no interruption. It was a tale once started she had to finish all the way through or not tell it at all. A weak smile twitched at the sides of her lips when he said his views on her had not changed.

"Nazo had said much of the same thing."

While his offer was touching she was likely not to take him up on the offer; these attacks were her burden to bear. She wouldn't trouble others with her hysterics any longer.

"It's because of that story and the example of my mother that like her I try to make the best out of an oppressing situation. Although most don't appreciate my sense of humor..."

"I guess that is true with any leader of a country" said Kail as he gets up and preheats the oven for something and sips his tea. He sees though that Valdis was thankful that he did not interrupt her story. He brings over the tea pot and refills Valdis's cup and sits back down. "Yes well your humor is a acquired taste for some. I've still yet been able to understand it" he said with a chuckle as Aiko trots in and gives a yip for a some petting. Kail obligies his furry companion several times.

"Huh me and Nazo said the same thing? That's just a bit odd.....oh well. So what are you planning to do now?" said Kail as he was thinking of the samething at the moment.

"Thank you"

The tea certainly was helping to calm her down. A faint smile graced her lips when he admitted he quite didn't understand her sense of humor.

"It's simple; all life ends unexpectedly or not. There will always be times when the hardships of life threaten to oppress us and rip away all which makes us human. In our allotted time on this earth I believe one shouldn't wait for others to make our dim existence brighter. In our world so many are forced to grow up faster than they should; fun is looked at as a source of immaturity a quality that is looked down upon. Laughter it helps lessens the weight of pain and suffering; when we laugh it reminds us we are alive and lifts our spirits out of that dark place."

As she looked up at him, for a rare moment her masks were let down. A bittersweet smile shown in her eyes as she laid down her beliefs. A rare moment where the eccentricness was gone and all that was left was a pure and bare Valdis.

"I won't wait for those moments to happen by chance; I want to laugh and I want others to laugh with me. No matter how bad it gets I want to smile and I want others to smile with me; else wise I will lose myself to madness."

All the crazy antics could be explained by this philosophy alone. Life was too serious to take it seriously, it ended unexpectedly so whether your time was long or short you should enjoy as much of it as you can while bringing that joy to others. Fun, laughter, child like whimsy...those moments were the ones you truly felt alive.

Her gaze turned back to the steam of her tea when he asked her what she planned to do now. That would be a good question. She ran a hand over her face she still needed to make sense of what she had saw in Scorpios vision...and she had a lot to do before the concert...so much to do.

"Now? I believe my part in this fight is about to get a bit more intricate. Nazo cannot protect us from the military every fight. Frankly I am the one who is in the best position to take care of that..."

She placed the tea on the table and grasped the sides of her head.

"Scorpio had valuable information on how the covenant was formed; and the spell that made the obelisks but it was only in bits and pieces...I think if I get the rest of the information...I will have an answer on how to take down obelisks. Scorpio use to be a protector of the earth he and others were lead to believe there planet was in danger from the moon kingdom. They were tricked into attacking manipulated; when they felt something was wrong it was somehow pushed aside...I need to find out what did that exactly."

She took a deep breath...she didn't want to admit it but she knew what she planned to do next.

"We need a mole in the covenant..."

She looked up and let the weight of what she said sink in. Out of all of them here she and the other knight that looked like an oni were the only ones who were remotely capable of infiltrating the covenant.

Kail gave another nod to Valdis when she gave a explanation to her humor. Which he could understand to a degree but he was not a good person to make jokes or do humor. But then her mask of insanity dropped and he saw who she really was. It surprised him a bit, but he knew it was there. Kail subtlely smiles a bit as well from this exchange. Then after that it got down to serious business on what the next move was. "I agree....because if we continue to use Nazo to help us out of a bind will we not grow. So in this case I will have to trust you on the military angle on getting them off of our backs. Did Nazo catch the name of any of the soldiers that attacked us? Perhaps we could talk to one of them" he said as he was pondering on if they could get more allies. Since a guy in the military could help them.

"Ugh.....I still not have found anything relating to that lost era of time. The best I can come up with is that a few greek and roman myths have some sort of relation. Other then that I am stumped. I wish I had better occult knowlage to see if there other lores I can look into. But at least you found something useful. So he was once an ally....huh" said Kail as he still had hit a lot of dead ends on his side. But he had not had the time to do any research at all. Then Valdis dropped a bomb he was not fully expecting. IF they could get someone from the Covenant to work for them. It would not be a thing since most of them were blindly loyal to cult's cause. Then his heart sunk greatly as he only knew who she was going to recommend.

"Valdis......I can not allow you to be the spy for us. I know that tacticly this is the best move to make. But at the same time....I fear you might lose yourself to that power. I know that you have survived a hell that no one could really bounce back from. But if they see your weakness they will attack it. And try to make you join them in mind, body, and soul. I saw what Scorpio's attempt to make me join them with a psychic attack. This really worries me " he said as he looked damn worried now. Even deathly afraid of that outcome, but the risk was also there that they could get a massive payday. Kail was torn with his logic and his friendship with Valdis. He did not know if she knew that he did care for her wellbeing.
