Yinko stared at the mass confusion. While the group attempted to coordinate, there was so much... emotion involved. There was no real plan, except smash and bash until the creature known as Scorpio was dead. Grumbling, David maneuvered to the side, facing the open wound on the creature's armor. Taking a kneeling stance behind the concrete ledge of building debris, he switched the Beowulf to three round burst, put the red dot scope on target, and squeezed.

Even with the flash suppressor and his cover, the armor penetrating round made for quite the display. The flickering of burning cordite and the echoing rattle of automatic fire echoed off the buildings, helping to mask his exact position. In the back of his mind, Yinko did not hesitate, but reached out to Scorpio, trying to pinpoint the part of the creature's psyche he wanted.

It was a technique he hadn't practiced in quite some time, but it was the one that was most effective at distance. Also, while direct and indirect attacks, even with interlocking fields of fire weren't going to cut it against something like this, psychological warfare had it's moments. This was one of them.

"Resonance!" Yinko's haunting, echoing presence boomed through the ether, reaching into the psyche of anyone within range. He tried to pry back the lid on all the negative emotions of the creature. Hate was a good start. There was plenty of that. But also, somewhere in Scorpio's mind, he found a lingering despair, a fear of failure. Grinning, Yinko tore the lid off, starting to amplify those sensations.

Now, whether or not anyone else in the group would be overcome with the resonating emotional agony, he didn't particularly care.

Keitha followed Sophia's leadership and ran into the battle with her and Kail, that's when everything seemed to be happening at once. Arrows flying and attacks being sprung and shouted. It seemed to happen in a flash and that's when her senses sparked because up until that point she had been watching in awe due to the fact the last battle she had been in was when she had been awoken. She unsheathed her sword and decided to something a bit on the reckless side. She closed her eyes and concentrated fusing air particles and electrons to where the air above her started to hum, she flung her sword in the air right as lighting crashed down causing it to crash into the weapon and yelled, "Lightnings Blade!" With that she slashed her sword down aiming towards Scorpio wondering if the lightning would strike or not, or if that exoskeleton would just deflect it like a cockroach would radiation. She was't sure, but Keitha soon realized that if it didn't hit Scorpio it would hit something or worse someone else. And she had't even warned the others.

In a brilliant flash of red and yellow magical energy, a wall manifests in front of the energy burst Scorpio had released. It struggles against the raw force behind it, but at some point, the propelling force subsides, and the sphere of violent energy shatters, releasing a powerful explosion of force in all directions which will blow trees down and knock normal people off their feet. The ground immediately below the sphere is decimated as a mixture of purple residue, snow, ice, and mud dig a deep hole about thirty feet down, to the point where there is some kind of concrete visible.

Sophia will feel a substantial drain on her reserves. Killian will feel moderately less drained, but definitely an expenditure of his energy. Meanwhile, Scoprio had been flung by Kishin after the attack was launched, but he landed on the ground, righting himself in mid-air with an admittedly impressive grace considering the body type. The arrows that Amarissa had launched missed Scorpio, and while Scorpio gave her no apparent notice when she tried to taunt him, a sharp pain in his back where the exoskeleton was cracked by Kishin's alpha strike could be felt when the high powered rifle rounds from David pierced. Two of the shells were halted by the edge of the crack, but one of them went straight through, causing substantial nervous pain and the shell ending up trapped within the body. The worst part was when something tried to invade Scorpio's mind...

Visions of pain, despair, and execution for the failure to Lady Virgo, the beautiful Virgo...

In a few seconds which felt like eternity, he could see his own failure and the disappointment from Virgo to bring her what she wanted. She may have been in love with that corpse, but damn if he wouldn't make her see things his way! The queen will see her true champion this day! But what if he failed...the threat was always there...'eternal sleep'...not even a peace of death, but an eternal limbo of unconsciousness...

Scorpio trembled just slightly, and was distracted long enough for Keitha's attack to hit home. The violent burst of energy had managed to land straight on his chest while Scorpio was distracted by neurosis, and as a result of the lack of concentration, the power literally blew a hole in his chest since the body armor that had to be consciously maintained as a long term spell shattered. A large blood spray shoots out of his chest, but the pain snaps him out of the neurosis that the gunner had caused.

He clenched his fist and braced along the ground. The aura of hatred magnified intensely, causing those who were around to potentially lose their composure and their ability to think strategically or logically. Violent gale winds begin to blow, and purple bolts of energy sear the area at random with intensely violent power. The armor begins to reform around both penetrations, and will recover within fifteen seconds barring something preventing it. The pincers on Scorpio's shoulders turn to face Kishin and Keitha, and a glow of power manifests before beams fire out, disintegrating anything in between them and their targets.

The blood spray from Scorpio begins to dissolve into mist, producing a contaminant in the air around Scorpio's 'melee range'

Just outside the range of the storm breaking loose, Nazo manifests with a slight sigh. In his grip, and dangling just above the ground, he was holding a young man, facing him toward the battle scene.

"You know, you could have made it a lot easier on yourself...this is the hardest battle that they have yet to encounter and where the city desperately needs you the most, and you want to hide in the snow?" he says with a sigh, dropping the young man onto the ground, folding his arms under his cloak.

"Transform and join them, or they die. And when they die, nothing will stop that monster from killing everyone in this city, including you." he says with a distinct coldness.

Sophia weakly smiles back at Kail as the shield does it job. However, she starts to feel like she can barely stand. Damn, that took a lot out of her, and she wouldn’t be too much help running so low on energy this early in the fight.
The helpless sinks back in as she feels a whirlwind of negative emotions pulled to the forefront of her mind. Fear, anger, hatred. It sends backs the waves of nausea as helplessness sinks in. Images of the death of all her friends fill her mind. It’s magnified ten-fold by Scorpio’s own aura.

No, she wouldn’t allow for this. She wouldn’t become like a person consumed by such negativity. She wouldn’t become a monster herself. She promised herself that she wouldn’t. From the depths of her soul, she does her best to push against it. However, what was she to do? She was running out of reserves and using her remaining energy to keep her emotions in check. And she’d probably lose it if she got any closer to Scorpio and that aura.

Well, when you don’t actually have it, fake it? She stands tall, excluding a confidence that she doesn’t actually possess. She uses part of her reserves to release her power of love. It’s faint though, but it stands as a small light in the darkness. If she could spur Kishin to let loose the hope, it would probably do some good for the team. “Don’t fall into despair. We have almost won. Push forward as guardians of this world,” she yells at the team, “Don’t let yourselves be blinded by these emotions, and we will not fail.”

What the team needed was someone to look to. She draws from some of her remaining reserves. “I am the guardian of love and light. I’ll light the darkness and extinguish hatred from this world!” She pulls on every ounce of energy she can for her team and still keep her transformation. The love from her soul made into an arrow of light which she loads onto her bow. She aims carefully and releases an arrow for Scorpio’s chinked armor before it fully heals. She doesn’t expect to be anything more than just a flashy attack, but she’s hoping to raise the team’s spirits, so flashy should be enough.

At that point after firing the arrow, the dark thoughts begin to creep back in. She keeps a show of bravado, not trying to let on that she is terrified, standing firm with a determined expression. She’s nothing if not a good actress.

As Kousuke fights with Scorpio he feels something prying at his mind. He attempts to drive the spear in deeper, but suddenly negative emotions flood him. Hatred for the monster in front of him, fear of the senshi dying and the world ending, and above all else a powerful sense of isolation. An ace stands alone, he alone leads his team as a beacon. He evokes hope and confidence from his teammates, but still he must stand above them and thus he must bear the weight of all burdens. As all of this flows through him another spark appears within him.

"Not this..." he mumbles, "Aren't I carrying enough already?" Despair begins to flow out of the Earth knight as his burden begins to crush him. However, as the aura begins to build something else seems to push back against it. A senshi's emotion control was containing the crushing despair.

"I won't fail them again," he says lifting his eyes to stare at the now even more monstrous Scorpio. "I refused to bear the world on my shoulders, but I WILL carry their fates!" he shouts, as Devotion cuts through the Despair and Kousuke's eyes alight with fire. Confidence mixes with devotion and gives birth to hope.

The Earth Knights emotion control explodes forth from his body and the aura comes directly into conflict with Scorpio's. However, instead of attacking Scorpio again he dashes towards the building he came from and in a single golden leap he lands at the Moon Senshi's side. "Follow my lead." he tells her as he takes her hand and raises it in the firing stance. for a bow and arrow. Golden light radiates from him and then begins to funnel into the Moon Senshi's bow. "I've believe in you Ama, run him through." As he says this Kishin draws several times the power required for Gunginir increasing the side and shine of the moon bow.

Amarissa sighs as all their attacks seem useless. Scorpio's armor is too great. She hears gunfire and looks to a strange new addition. Something he did worked though as suddenly the armor dissipates long enough for a giant lighting bolt to strike him in the chest. Blinking in surprise, she turns and salutes the Jupiter senshi. It is a brief thing though as Scorpio regains his composure and suddenly she's hit with his horrible aura. Immediately, a headache forms making her feel like Kishin smacked her with his meteor thing. "Oww.." she mumbles.

Holding one hand to her head, she watches as Sophia's shield also does its job and then out of no where a burst of positive energy combats Scorpio's. Realizing the Venus senshi's intent, Amarissa concentrates enough to magnify her own Devotion aura for the team as her headache eases. Suddenly she finds Kousuke at her side and despite the slight rejection earlier, her face lights up upon seeing him which only increases her aura. She can feel it mixing with Kousuke's as he grabs her arms, the two side by side in an archer's pose as he channels energy into her bow.

Amarissa yell, "Moonlight Silver Arrow!" mentally gathering the positive emotional energies and shoving it into her attack along with the energy from Kousuke. She aims it at Scorpio's chest and releases, sending it flying right behind Sophia's. Grabbing Kousuke's hand, she mentally concentrates on the energy signature of the Venus senshi and says "moon flash". A silver light envelopes the two and a second later they appear with the group, more out of harm's way.

Keitha saw the attack on Scorpio right as her lightning hit him, she sighed with relief sending a salute back to Ama, her shoulders slumping as she feels her energy drain slightly. Her victory was short lived though. When Keitha turns back to look at exactly what damage was done she sees the glow of energy Scorpio is manifesting, but it doesn't seem to fully register with her because of the wave of hatefully energy that hit her at the exact same time making her discombobulated. it took a a moment but she finally quickly realizes that if she doesn't move she is going to get hit with what ever that energy turned into. When the thought processes she takes a full body dive to avoid the beam of fire.

Unfortunately she didn't move in time and as she was falling the beamed seared across her back burning her so badly that the pain that shoots through instantly is white hot and agonizing, she didn't even feel it when she hit the ground. She held back cries of pain, the Senshi in her telling her that she had to get up that she had to keep fighting. She could hear the brave words from Sophia and they seemed to will her to try and pull herself up, but as Keitha tried to do so pain shot through her and she screamed with pain almost falling back down. She couldn't though she was determined to stand. She used her sword as a brace to lean, on the tip of the blade on the ground holding the hilt. If someone were to stand behind her they would see the burn going across her back red and angry and starting to bleed. She grit her teeth though trembling as she saw the arrows cast by Sophia and Ama, praying they would hit and praying that this would be the end of Scorpio.

As the trees were blown over Valdis was flung from her perch. She tucked and rolled to her feet, skipping off in an awkward high step. A break in the heavy aurora was split my maniacal laughter as she bounced a way, a convenient snowball flying from her fingers. Her target, Scorpios face. The stronger the feelings of hate and despair the larger her grin. Where her joy came from? Simple to supply such a feeling they must feel it themselves, and in that she found her satisfaction.

Valdis high tailed it over to little Mouse and Kail, and gave a small wave and a wink.

"Listen up chickadies where going to smack and whack, those flips of his can't be easy. I sense Kenny's energy signature being dragged here. We'll need his and jumping beans abilities to send arachnid boy flying in different directions. Think of it as a giant game of badminton"

Valdis looked over at Keitha........one was down for the count.

"Sophia if you take my energy would you be able to heal Kietha? Ama use purification on him rather than straight out attacks, speaking from experience that stuff burns worse than any cut. We'll most likely have more of an effect purifying him then breaking that shell of his. The rest of you keep smacking this guy seems to have kill ADD"

If the emotions affected Valdis it would be hard to tell, she had enough experience with these side of emotions, they were to her the only constants of her life.

"oohhhh NAzo, I need you to be ready to disorient the bug man."

She looked at the rest of the group.

"You can fallow this or continue as you were, also can I ask who's the guy shooting? I wasn't aware we had another friend."

Kail did feel the drain slightly but it was the armor that took the drain. He sighs and pulls himself out of the tree. The young man watches the events before him and sees Sophia in a very vain attempt to show that she was not totally drained from the combination skill. But sees that she was trying to spur the others to continue the fighting against Scorpio. Which did get the Earth Knight to get fired up and felt the feelings of him and others. He looks at the armored fiend and saw that the barrage of there attacks ranging from magicly empowered bullets to the massive explosions of electricity from Sailor Jupiter. His eyes turn to slits as he targeted Scorpio.

He turns to Valdis and was tired and playing ping pong with Scorpio was something out of an anime. "No screw this, I am going to end this freak down now. I have had too much stupid shit happened today. Also Valdis get a better plan because I will not Dragon Ball Z'ing the enemy. We are here to kill him. NOT TO FREAKING PLAY AROUND" he said as his patience just stopped caring at this point. He turns to Scorpio and runs like a man possed by a demon and comes straight at Scorpio. With this mind set Kail just ignores the poison that the fiend was emitting. "ENSATSU, RYUKAI-HONOKIBA he Roared and he put everything he had put all of his energy and force. He was going to try and break open that armor with this one strike.

As Nazo watched the fight he would suddenly be assailed by a sense of wrongness as the snow begins to crunch under the footsteps of an arriving "knight." When he turns to see what it is Nazo will come face to face with a blood covered red skinned monster who was dragging what appeared to be a horribly injured beast youma. It was difficult to tell what it was supposed to have been as it appeared to have been bludgeoned into submission by a heavy blunt object.

As the creatures red eyes focus on the battle it grins, but before leaping into the fray it's nose twitches and it's attention is redirected to Nazo. Who would quickly find a large youma body being flung at him at relatively high speed.

The crimson monster lets out a bellow of anger as it's blood lust becomes nearly palpable.

He was curled up like a cat being carried by its scruff as Nazo dragged him to the battle. He had been one of the ones to high tail it away and the man who controlled the scary doggies came and dragged him back. A small whimper escaped his lips, he didn't like to play super hero....it looked as though it could cause bodily harm. He looked over at the battle, and noticed a purple haired singer skip across the battle field, what the hell was she doing here? He looked over when something approached, a squeak emerged from his throat as he instantly high tailed it to the group.

As he ran he took his pin and quietly said his henshin phrase, with a whirl of snow he was transformed and blending into the background like no tomorrow. It was the plus of being in all white. He arrived just in time to hear Valdis's plan.

"So I don't have to touch it? Just blast it with ice like the wolf?"

That sounded good to him, further away the better.

"I volunteer to keep an eye on Valdis...to erm make sure she doesn't get in harms way, I can do what she wants from far enough away."

As he watched Kail go into attack mode he waited until his attacks hit; if Scorpio was pushed back far enough he'd use his ice lock but had the mind not to until Kail was out of the way.

Yinko frowned. His work had been undone, and it was affecting the others. He had to end this quickly, and the only way to do that was to get in close. Snarling, he jumped to his feet, bringing the weapon to bear, and started into a full sprint into the killzone. His boots clapped loudly against asphalt and concrete, even insulated by the snow. Against the backdrop of night and the darkened buildings, Yinko's black fatigues blended into shadow.

Scorpio was more intimidating the closer he became, and David found it hard to control his mental focus. Still, he would have to cope. As he pumped his legs, closing the gap, he noticed Sophia, or at least the transformed version of the girl.

"Hey!" he shouted, tossing her the rifle. "I'm getting in closer. If I fail..." His voice dropped to a cruel, sadistic whisper. "Shoot through me!"

Turning to Scorpio, the poison was intense. Holding his breath, eyes starting to water from the stinging, acidic nature, he started towards the creature. Clenching his teeth, Yinko closed his eyes, then opened them slowly, the blue, burning orbs luminescent in the night.

His mind strained, churning the negative emotions, the fears and memories of the Camps into the forefront, projecting them into Scorpio. The solid concrete rooms with no windows, no vents, and the dark, dried stains that looked like blood always brought back that odd, coppery and acidic smells, and the children... starving, hiding in rubble in the center of the camp as the Covenant operatives hunted them down for routine interrogations.

Then there was the dark room with the single, burning floodlight focused on the wooden chair in the center. Yinko shivered, but he knew that's where he had to go. That was his dark place, the place where he had the most focus. The chair was scratched, carved up by human fingernails, only two Nihil guards lingering just beyond the darkness. The pain... oh God, he couldn't even describe it. But that wasn't the true fear. It was the anticipation, the knowledge it was coming, and the waiting.

"Do you think you are safe?" an icy, whispering voice hissed through the night. It seemed disconnected, coming from everywhere. "Do you know what is true suffering? I mean, beyond physical pain, beyond banishment... beyond death. Do you know what is worse?" Yinko let the Resonance technique take a firm hold, and held it tight, clenching his jaw, closing his eyes.

"I'm going to show you, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it."

While Scorpio was regenerating and exhibiting his aura of hatred at high intensity, he had hard time moving from the newest barrage of attacks. The arrow from Venus merely embedded in the armor and did minimal damage, though Venus, Moon, and Earth's emotional influences managed to mostly drown out the aura of hatred that Scorpio was emitting. The man beast had a smile of satisfaction when Jupiter took a large hit from the Pincer beam, but he was incredibly annoyed that Kishin had evaded. However his moment of satisfaction would be spoiled as Amarissa released a powerful arrow composed of gold and silver energies. The speed and power of it caused Scorpio to hesitate...

A large, luminescent explosion erupts on contact, blinding the man beast and causing him to roar in agony. The sound would shatter windows within two miles and send birds flying off in a panic. When the light faded a few seconds later, Scorpio's armor would be seared and obviously weakened. The major holes were somewhat closed, but still points of vulnerability. In retaliation, Scorpio turns to where Moon and Earth were standing, and raises his tail over his head. A purple and green spark form a small sphere as energy quickly gathers and then flares forth as a violent beam, sweeping across the area where they are currently standing and incinerating the ground and structure around them with violent energy. Were a building in the way it would have been obliterated. The beam continues for several seconds, also leaving a poisoned earth behind it, making that region of the battlefield hazardous to stand on. Standing on it would eat away at footwear and armor, and upon skin contact intense pain would begin to manifest instantly along with instant full body pain and vomiting.

A boy runs up, his eyes aglow. Even among the venomous ground around him, this one was foolish enough to try. Taking no chances, he turns the tail to disintegrate the Black Knight of Venus, as the beam begins to manifest and sweep along the ground approaching him but...

A battle shout from the sword bearing knight could be heard above the noise as the man had rapidly closed the gap and brought his blade to bear, the angle that it had come at, Scorpio hopped to dodge, but the blow was too quick and powerful: a large, violent cut erupts on his lower back and as the blade descends into the tail where Mars Knight had first struck, a satisfying cutting sound could be heard to the swordsman as the blade cuts clean through, severing the tail from Scorpio and causing the appendage to flail violently on the ground firing an occasional, wildly aimed blast into the air until it stops moving fifteen seconds later. This pain and sensation distracts the beast yet again as David approached and then began to project his own experiences and images into Scorpio's brain. After sustaining all this damage, more of the Resonance technique penetrates and this time Scorpio's eyes glaze over again. This time his consciousness was injected into a past experience that this man apparently had. The sensation of fear, the feeling of threats everywhere, isolation, the dread of pain.

The experience that David had gone through, projected in the mind of Scorpio was overwhelming. It was impossible to really understand what a victim of the camps went through when you ran the camps. Scorpio's mind begins to snap, and he becomes paralyzed with indecision and fear, ignoring the fact that there was still a swarm of knights and senshi around that were more than likely going to take advantage of this situation.

As an unfortunate side effect, due to Killian's close proximity to this full power Resonance technique, Killian would also be drawn in to the illusion. With a strong enough mind and sensation, however, he may be able to snap himself out of the trance. Regardless, Killian will experience a brief sensation from the Resonance and the pain that David is projecting into Scorpio

Meanwhile, the various military members who showed up were withdrawing, pulling their wounded out slowly among their own injuries. Scorpio's vicious attacks along with the various collateral damage from the knights and senshi had left them little room to really pull forward, and preserving the lives of the wounded seemed a better idea than trying to stand and fight as it is.

One knight successfully deployed.

Another knight enters, this one a bit of an anomaly. Nazo turns to look at the beast, and all too casually side-steps the projectile youma, watching it crash into a wall unceremoniously. He looks at the Oni and then exhales slightly, muffled by the mask.

"No, don't look at me with those hungry eyes. I am on your..side. At least, the anti-covenant side. Don't eat youma, it's not good for your diet. But do kill the bug man over there, would you?" he says, as he then implodes upon himself and stands in front of Sailor Jupiter, standing between her and Scorpio whom was getting jolly mobbed enough by the various powers present. His tone seemed to change as he spoke, reflecting a heightened seriousness.

"A strong soul to withstand life's hardship..." he says as Sailor Jupiter would feel something within her expanding int a tangible, blue shell of her soul energy creating a shield around her. Nazo then gestures to where Sophia and Valdis were, pointing a finger.

"Go to them. You're attacks will be ineffective until you have been recuperated. " he says with a distinct seriousness, as a sense of heightened courage begins to swell within the Jupiter Senshi as a result of something being emitted from the black garbed knight. He then simply stands and watches Scorpio's suffering. He then simply maintains a watch to make certain Scorpio didn't attempt to attack Keitha while she was retreating: teleporting her would have been dangerous when shew as wounded and in a high chaos dense area.
