Atop a building, a black blur manifests as the dark brown armored form of Scorpio manifests atop the rooftop. Virgo was displeased...incredibly displeased that he had drawn in so much energy abruptly and without notice that ascended his body into the Zodiac State. He had been busy with collecting energy and getting used this new form in the American Battlefront, but now he had to replenish that which he had taken from the Covenant. With a serious look, the transformed Scorpio approaches a sports arena where a locally run skating rink was operating. Nearby there was also a cram school for academic hopefuls and another building held an arcade. So much creativity, pleasure, and ambition.

They would do nicely.

The sky itself darkens around Shibuya, as the lights flicker and the ground trembles. Scorpio stands in a small park, his mere arrival sending everyone fleeing in terror. His arms outstretched into the air, he begins to rapidly draw energy from everywhere within a mile, causing people to gradually become lethargic and falling asleep, with the drain only breaking off at the bare minimum remaining: Scorpio wanted to harvest these fools individually. Anyone who entered the area would begin to feel weak gradually, though those with strong conditioning and willpower can diminish this considerably.

The area around fills with hatred and malice, sickening human beings who approach. Gradually, the sky turns purple and the snows begin to fall, shimmering a faint purple with the light reflected showing through.

Virgo would have her energy returned, and then some. This new form was INCREDIBLE! So much power, why did he hesitate before? A thirst grew within him that could not be sated, as the drain begins to slowly expand. Military patrols are ineffective, as the soldiers who approach find themselves unconscious with the rest, and with no transmissions making it back to base, a greater response had not been roused yet.

Suddenly Shibuya seemed no longer like the perfect picnic location. Sophia sees the dark clouds off in the distance over the district. She regrets taking all the drinks and cake down this way if the picnic was going to be postponed due to rain/sleet/snow. It’s odd since the weather was supposed to hold up today though.

As Sophia ventures further into the district, she sees the crowds of fleeing people. It takes her awhile to get out of the way, so she isn’t trampled. But she can feel what they are running from. She felt that sense of dread before.

She huddles down in the alleyway and takes a few deep breaths to calm down. She needed to pull it together now. However, she feels unbelievably scared. She wasn't ready to do this all over again. Taking out her cellphone, she sends out a mass text: Scorpio’s here. Is anyone else down in Shibuya yet? I'm at...

Kail was close to the district when he got a bad gut feeling, he heard and felt his cellphone go off and saw the text message. There was a sense of alarm and his eyes widend and then hardend. He quickly starts running until he saw the mass panic of people running down the street. The red head doges into a side street and makes his way through the ally's. His green eyes flick about and looks down one way and sees Sophia almost cowering in a corner. The red head sees her and takes a deep breath "Sophia get up, we are not going to lose here not now or ever. Right now I am just as much scared as you are. But if we let this fear consume us we will be defeated. We must stand tall, this guy is not invincible. Not everything is invincible, So there can and will be a way to defeat him. So chin up" he said, while not realizing that he had tapped into his emotion of power. As his passionate speech was made to encourage Sophia and rally her for the fight.

Since she was afraid of this man and he could not argue it, as he felt the oppressive vibe coming from the area that was being drained. Once the others go to the location though,, then he would make a battle plan. "Once everyone gets here, we make a battle plan and then go after Scorpio" he said and wished they had some kind of tool to try and gauge where the enemy was. This time they were going to be organized and have something for the enemy.

It’s a little hard not to cower when one is reliving bad dreams from the night before. During Kail’s pep talk, it’s an interesting wave of emotions that flow over Sophia. It’s very different from what Scorpio is sending off. Partly feeling better that she isn’t entirely alone anymore and partly feeling a little more energized due Kail’s words, she stands up from her corner.

However, the emotion sparks her feelings toward Scorpio. And hatred pours from here before she manages to bite it back. She didn’t have to feed into that aura of hatred coming from the center of Shibuya… she couldn’t.

“Thanks. And I’m glad you got down here as quickly as you did. The feeling… only gets worse the closer in you get though. It’s a lot more intense when you stand face to face.” Their original encounter had left her petrified. Remaining composed was key now.

“Battle plan… he’ll see us coming since we’re going to be the only things walking toward him. And with something this big, we have a very limited amount of time before the military gets involved. Basically, we need to be quick. He’s got heavy armor. About the only thing exposed was his eyes, so we need someone who can strip away something like that. My arrows are pretty ineffective otherwise.”

She thinks back to that evening. It wasn’t a pleasant set of memories, but she could give information that wouldn’t lead to a repeat performance. “His touch seems to be poisonous as well. Don’t let him get a firm grasp on you. However, I think Ama can purify it to some extent. Basically, keep as much distance as you can. Keep moving. His pincers can fire off energy, so if they stay on you, you’re probably going to get shot at.”

“Venus Knight’s attack against Scorpio in this form didn’t do much more than singe him. I don’t think Yuki’s fire balls will get past the armor too much.”

“I need to physically touch someone to heal, so if anyone gets injured, I need them to fall back.”

“He didn’t seem to think that Venus Knight would hurt him as much as he did initially. He probably won’t expect much to happen now. After you get one good shot in, expect him to put up more of a fight.”

“Promise me that you’ll retreat if we need to?” she ask. It was important. She didn’t need to watch half the team get hurt again.

David grumbled, pulling the black coat tighter across him as the weather shifted. It was a bad idea. He was going in on little or no intel, hoping that the rumors he had picked up were true. The talk about others... people with powers like him, that gave him hope. Of course, it could just as easily be a trap. That's how the Covenant operated.

The fact he heard rumblings from Covenant sympathizers could have just as easily been a ploy, a means to convince those against their insurgency to gather conveniently for a quick kill to the resistance. If it was, David would be dead, or worse, taken back to the camps. Patting the duffel slung over his right shoulder, he felt the hardware, knowing he wouldn't let that happen. Eating a .50 caliber round at point-blank range would be preferable than being shipped back alive to the camps.

It was then he heard the shouting, scuffling, and noticed a dark shadow stalking at least two others. Clenching his teeth, Yinko unzipped the duffel, slapped home a fresh mag of .50 Beowulf, and depressing the auto-charging switch, brought the weapon to his shoulder. As he started towards the creature, he reached out slowly with his mind, extending to the humans in the fray.

He had been burned too many times before, trusting people. That's how the Nihil preferred to operate, using collaborators and sympathizers.

Kail was silent as he heard Sophia talk as he quickly did a search on his phone on any near by construction sites. He did not want to do property damage. But it would be a small sacrifice in the long run since the covenant was going overboard on this attack on the public. "Ok....I will keep all of that in mind, Now I think I could crack through that guy's armor due to my second form. My sword becomes extremely super heated that I can cut through most materials. We can not do a direct assault as it would be suicidal, So we are going to attack him indirectly and use his own power against him" he said and found a construction site that was near by in the area. Now he needed a bit more info on Scorpio in order for his plan to work. Second would be if the senshi would be quick enough to doge and evade the armored monster.

"Is Scorpio's poison, corrosive enough to eat way at metal at a quick rate? If so then we might be able to take him down for the count or at least make him retreat for awhile. I just hope some of the others do come.....we need everyone we can get for this to work" he said and hoped that nothing else would go wrong now. Kail was confident enough thought that nothing would dampen his spirits, as of right now. But was not stupid though to think this was fool proof as there could be always an idiot to the system.

Amarissa had been shopping a nearby arts supplies store when the sky began to darken. She saw people outside running and some falling down to lie flat on the ground, unmoving. A frown crossed her face and then the text message reached her. Anger rises quickly followed by a strong determination. Leaving the store, she begins to head to Sophia's location. There was a military presence but not enough to interfere.

"Sophia, Kail," she says in greeting, her eyes hard and already in her senshi form. She had ducked behind a display on the way here. Her emotions were high, causing her emotional influence to leak a bit. The extra devotion would bond the group and harden their determination. "We should wait for the others, as much as I hate that it's just giving him more time to suck these people dry. Then we can come up with a battle plan. We need Nazo" she says, having missed all of the previous conversation and unintentionally Timone-ing Kail.

How odd and how fitting she was amongst this purple scene, her violet gaze sharpening at the scene unfolding before her. She felt her phone go off within its coffin, she need not to glance at it to find out why someone contacted her. Valdis stood unmoving amongst the maelstrom of panic, she felt the power and the energy being drained from the population. She closed her eyes and pin pointed the source. Valdis was almost drawn to the malice like the embrace of an old friend of which one spent ones child hood with.

She found herself in the park, still having the mind to conceal her presence. The others would no doubt be on their way, and she found herself content to find a nice branch of a tree on which to observe things. She took out her phone and unwrapped the rosary beads and wrapped them around her wrist. She opened the case and took out her phone sending a quick text out.

'Already at ground zero, see you here'

The sound of a military vehicle approaching a few minutes later might catch the attention of those present. An armored patrol vehicle arrives, the back hatch opening as body armored MPs exit with heavy assault weapons. Somebody outside the perimeter had picked up on what was going on, and these were the first responders. More would likely be here in time, but at first, the squad enters the perimeter. They seemed slower at first once they began to enter Scorpio's realm of influence, but they gradually came to pull syringes out and jam them into their own necks to boost their systems enough they could operate, though for how long this would last remained to be seen.

Another few minutes later, gunfire could be heard. The squad had encountered Scorpio...from the perspective of where the senshi were they might see purple flashes in the distance and the occasional sound of an explosion. While the others wouldn't witness any more detail until they arrived, Valdis would see the first squad being toyed with by Scorpio, whom was casually firing powerful beams of chaos energy at the MPs, while the squad took cover and made their best effort to bring down what to them was a Class IV Covenant Entity, but not a single bullet could even penetrate his barrier of energy. There were already two critically wounded squad members, the body armor not having much effect against the beams that were piercing their cover and bodies.

The creature would not respond to David's presence, more fixated with amusing itself with the military police that were bravely if not futilely standing against it. The humans that David had reached out to would have no significant neural activity.

Sophia nods. “Yeah, Kail and I were just going to wait and hope the others came quickly.” She looks at her phone, “Evidently Valdis already is at the epicenter though…”

She looks up at the explosions, “Crap. They need to get here soon… The military is already there. And that makes stuff so much more complicated. The JSDF may try to shoot at us.” Kishin having pissed off a Lieutenant would probably increase any sort of hostile reaction that they would get. She thinks for a few moments on it. “I could use my powers over love to make it so they are less hostile, but I don’t think I can compete much with Scorpio’s aura.” That aura of hatred sickened her. She seems to look at something far off into the distance, “It’s so strong…”

She shakes her head. “I don’t know much about Scorpio’s poison. I didn’t get hit by it… it seems crippling. It’s the reason why the last Venus Knight hasn’t regained consciousness. But it never hurts to keep on guard for whatever else it might do.”

“If you want to catch him off-guard, we can perhaps enter from the opposite side of the military. It will also reduce the likelihood of a confrontation between us and the JSDF as well. And if you think you can crack his armor, Kail, then we have a damn good shot.”

She smiles at Kail. “I have faith that we can do this.”

She then looks to Ama, wondering if she felt the same sense of worry about this fight. “What do you feel comfortable doing in this fight? I’ll be hanging back to provide healing for anyone who gets injured and giving some covering fire. I was going to tell people if they got hurt to fall back. However, you’re a better archer than me. It’d be pretty helpful to have you in the fight. At the same time, hanging back with anyone who may get injured by poison to purify them might be handy…”

Picking up the pace, Yinko raised the Beowulf to his shoulder, and started around the corner of the nearest building. His head on a swivel, he found the ledge of a concrete stairway beside the loading dock of one of the buildings, taking up position. In the distance, he could make out... Sophia?

Exchanging information the other day seemed foolish initially, but now, well, now it didn't seem so stupid. Dialing the number, he switched the rifle to semi-auto action.

"Hey, it's Yinko," he started. "I'm downrange of you, half a klick. What's your status?"

Sophia answers her ringing phone. “Oh, hi David. You can see me? I can’t see you anywhere…” Her eyes look at the streets across from where the group is standing. “Anyways, all the senshi and knights are meeting at this location. We are trying to determine a plan of action before engaging Scorpio.”

She starts sounding a little sheepish, “I know you just found about this whole knight thing a few days ago. You don’t know us that well or how we fight. But would you join us? We have a better chance fighting as larger group. And if you don’t want to, well… don’t go by yourself…” There is a faint sound of fear in her voice as she says that last part.

Valdis fired off another text though she loathed to do it 'Scorpio plays with the military as a cat plays with a mouse. People are attacking from the ground but he hasn't looked up; if your able find a way to do an aerial attack. I will attempt to ask Nazo to conceal your energy signatures, which reminds me we may need to ask Rei after this fight to teach you guys how to do it yourselves.' Valdis turned back to the scene that was unfolding. The aura was strong, perhaps there was a way she would be able to combat that, course she wouldn't be able to act until the others attacked. She assumed since they had not acted yet they were trying to find a way to attack by surprise...if an aerial attack was not possible perhaps they could blend in with the flies that were being smacked aside. Course they would need some uniforms to put over there clothes. She was getting bored sitting in the tree, a small smile crossed her face as she sent out another text 'if you guys don't get your butts moving I'm going to chuck this phone at his head'

Trouble's come, the Earth needs you.

A tree in a clearing shutters as Scorpio begins to feed. As the senshi gather an arm and then a person erupt from the bark scaring away several onlookers, his golden mask in place and a new golden gauntlet on his hand the warrior of the earth lay coughing a wheezing on the ground in front of the majestic tree. As a large piece of bark comes out of his mouth the knight says. "I don't think I'll be needing any fiber in the near future." However his attention soon shifts.

Something was wrong with the earth. A scar and taint was seeping in to it. As he gets to his feet the Earth Knight begins to run towards the taint.

When he finally arrives he finds the military engaged in a battle with Scorpio. "Well now...I really don't like them, but at least the military is trying," he admits. Raising a gauntleted fist in front of himself and gathering in power from the earth. As he does a golden spear begins to form in his hand. The attack was going to be powerful as he uses the golden crystal fragment to draw in as much power as he can from the earth to make the spear, but the time needed to form it wouldn't make this practical in normal combat.

As the spear takes shape he hefts it and feels it's weight. As he finishes examining the weapon his eyes fall on Scorpio. "You know, you've made my life a lot more complicated." He mumbles to himself as he pulls the spear back and bellows at the top of his lungs. "Meteor Smash-Terra Spear Gunginir!" And looses the spear at Scorpio. It wouldn't be enough to kill him, but assuming it hit it would probably make a wound and rend a section of the beasts armor.

As the glow fades a stone javelin shaped similarly to one of Kousuke's spears would remain, and as soon as the glow fades an immense burst of Hope will be sent at the untransformed senshi.

Valdis eyes widen in surprise from her little perch, the jumping bean was back and his energy signal was significantly higher. Another text was needed 'Scratch that plan, jumping beans back and he's engaged Scorpio, so wing it and quickly.'
