Several hours earlier Ashley had encountered the two Sailor Senshi and witnessing there powers. He had all evidence he found and samples put under lock and key along with other security locks in place. The science officer got to his workstation and started to analyze the battle data he recorded. Ash was already taking notes on what had happened and was trying to put down various theories that could explain most of what happened. But the last detail was that on magic or the paranormal forces that both the Covenant and these Sailor Senshi controlled. At this point there had been nothing on how to scale or measure there power, in fact there had been nothing to see how this power worked at all. If Pandora's box could be open, then all kinds of things could be used or made. Better medical treatments, cleaner energy, or even away to enhance crops. None the less it was still a mystery to him.
But the only logical explanation on how the Ice Golem shattered was that the electrical energy cascaded through the being . The best he could come up with is that the attack caused the neutrons to collapse on themselves and causing the creature to explode in a micro atomic blast. But the thought of atomic or nuclear energy made a theory for himself. It was that magic was just like a nuclear energy and that it can effect people negatively like the Covenant members as they raise in rank. Or positively like these senshi as with the attack that was used on the golem. The last part of this was where this magical radiation came from, for the covenant though it might have been the spires. But for the senshi it seemed different as they had no location and came out of no where. He looks back at the video and theorized that there power came from the crystals in the center bow on there chests or there tiaras. For Ashley though it was a breakthrough as he now had something to work off of, what he needed was some sort of item that held this power from either side.
Ashley puts down his notes saves them on his computer, then puts in two USB memory sticks in two slots and copies the data to them as backups. He goes to the rec room and gets something to drink. Feeling pretty damn good with what he figured out in general.

"ZELPHER!"
The shrill voice that resounded through the complex would most likely put a dread shiver down Ashley's spine. The Director of Military Science, Rishijo Matou, was in the building and looking for him. The thin man stood high at six feet four inches, garbed in a white lab coat with thin glasses on his face. His hair was pink due to a genetic mutation, which often resulted in fun making behind his back from his subordinates, but heaven help you if he catches you doing it. When he says he'll have you shipped off to Siberia, he means it as known by several uncooperative techies vanishing when they offended the great doctor.
He rampages through, sending intern and researcher fleeing for their lives, until he finally finds Ashley in the rec room.
"Zelpher. I am aware that you came across something peculiar when at that crime scene earlier. I demand details." he says, staring him down with a coldness that would send shivers down anyone's spine. Anyone who knew Matou knew that he valued data and research above all else. Infamously, he made his entire lab staff for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day several years ago when a large project was nearing completion. Nearly everyone hated him, but they had to acknowledge that his mental capacity was profound and he achieved results.

Ashley hears the shrill voice and knew his arch nemesis was approaching him right now and turned his soda flat and bad tasting. He sighs and gets his compoture before the man show up. He then sees the man approaching and gets up from his chair since the Director was staring him down and it did not phase him the slightest but knew he had a lot of power. "Yes Director I have quite a bit of data from an encounter several hours ago. A Class IV Covenant was taken down with relative ease by two female individuals that were using Covenant like powers. I recorded the battle and collected a sample of the Class IV Covenant . Its been placed in the maximum security storage " he was going to mention his theory on magic. But this man wanted data and results, if anything was proven half done or not fully complete then he would just throw it into his face. There others like him that came up with ideas good ones or even some prototype equipment. But he would throw those ideas back at the person and tear that person apart. Ashley had saw a good number of officers and lab techs, being moved to other departments, leave, and in most cases fired by the Director Rishijo.
But what worried him is that the Director was throwing away, too many ideas were really good ones. Or even things that could aid them against the covenant that could make fighting them easier. Ashley mused that Rishijo wanted something that would not randomly fail and screw over what was left of humanity. There was a time to gamble and say screw the data and do something. No matter the data if there was a chance to take it, someone should at least make a attempt on it. But it still made Ashley question on how this man got the Director job. He kept his face blank and serious so that he would not show what he was thinking, as that it would ire the fragile ego that the director. "Would you want to see the data I recorded " he asked the director. Since he would more then likely demand to see it for himself since he would accuse him of seeing swamp gas coming out from a weather balloon and causing everything that he saw to be false.

"...I read the same from that idiot Saeki's field report while they carted his sorry ass to the hospital. Damnable jarheads only know the business end of a gun, if you ask me they should just remove themselves from the equation.." he says, expressing his infamous hate of the fighting class of military personnel. "Such mongrels can only do what mongrels do I suppose." he states, then walking towards the security storage.
"Of COURSE I want to see the data myself. The idea of girls walking around with powers killing other Covenant sounds idiotic, like some kind of deluded dream from a desperate mind." he snarls out as he makes his way down the hall. A few of the others they passed pressed against the wall, terrified of the director's wrath, until he stands in front of the storage room, withdrawing his access card and swiping it, storming into the room...going to a terminal.
"Where is the damnable file...is it labeled under Delusions? Idiocy?"

Ashley was silent but on the inside he was raging on the inside as the Director was bad mouthing a soldier in front of him. And could not do a damn thing about it and he just swallowed his fury. As it was not worth it at this point as his goals were not done yet or even met the first one. He follows Rishijo to the room and watches others get out of the way, out of fear for there job. Or get shipped to Siberia and vanish into obscurity, to never be seen again by people. "I asure you Sir that what I saw was the the truth" he said and went in and saw the man in a flurry and just blind hatered. Ashley wanted to sigh and just wanted to slap the man to calm him down or put something in his drink to calm him down. But hears him rage to where it was and Ashley sits down "I will bring up the data for you sir" he said and moves the mouse to the right file and double clicks it.
He then starts typing in code as he placed several passwords on the file and accessed the file and got up for the Director to look at it. "There that's everything that I got at that battle" said Ashley as he kept his tone very even and would be hard to say what mood that Ashley was in.

The Director is silent as he watches the video, rewinding it and playing it again several times as his mind begins to gather opinion. His face contorts to a frown as he goes over the data and images, before he stands up and then glares at the screen.
"They are allied with the Covenant. They are an enforcer class I have only read about in battle reports and isolated incidents in other countries where strange girls would show up to eliminate any Covenant member who was acting out of line from whatever objectives the Covenant deems. Their behavior is interesting, I should very much like to capture one of them alive to study and dissect once all relevant living data has been obtained. They look more human, and therefore are likely to have some unknown reason for their particular form...possibly even working directly with Virgo herself since she never shows herself in the world. It's not unheard of for some delusional queen to choose women to be her handmaidens or personal servants." he says coolly, then looking at Ashley.
"They are to be captured or killed on sight and considered to be between Class IV and Class V in power. I will forward my report to General Masouou at once." he says, getting up and turning to leave the terminal.

Normally looking skins cells residing in normal looking tissues. Absolutely no frostbite beyond stage 2. Normally looking erythrocytes in normal looking blood smear. No major cell death whatsoever. All vital functions resuming normal. No permanent organ damage or failures. It was the normalcy of all the tests that was the most bizarre. Really, after being frozen in ice as long as they were, all those people should be dead. Every single one. But no, all their issues besides the mental trauma seemed relatively short term. They would all leave the hospital after some short observation. They were all truly lucky and blessed, but it made no goddamn sense.
So far, the only anomaly she found was some slight anemia in a subject who was anemic prior to the event. All the subjects seemed similar to people who wake from cryogenic stasis. They have a few temporary ill effects, but completely bounce back in a few days. The only difference was that normally people in cryogenic stasis were prepped before and after their freeze. You couldn’t just put some on ice and take them off it.
All this was more or less the reason that she had been in the lab since the first samples arrived from the hospital. She ordered the biochemical analyses a while ago for just about everything under the sun. Those would take time. And the molecular profiles were underway, but she wouldn’t have some of those until tomorrow. However, with everything needing substantial time, she could finally go home and sleep.
Carrying a cart full of remaining samples, she makes her way to the storage room. However, she spots the director in there. Why did the freezers have to be behind him? She wonders if she can get the cart around him without him noticing her presence… She moves along the outside of the room as quietly as she can. She is far too tired to speak to the Director now.

Ashley gave a look to the director and for once was showing a bit of surprise. "Sir I have not done a full report. I merely collected data. That is a bit too soon to come to conclusions like that, even then I never heard that while in the swiss military" he said and was still calm but felt that he was under cut. And that the Director was really jumping to conclusions on this matter. No one so far had questioned the man as they feared his position as the Director. But Ashley though did have some guts to speak when something bad was going to happen. At the same time knew that those working under some ones command had to listen to there command and carry it out loyally. That usage of loyalty though was more like blind loyalty and would make those around just sheep and not get anything done.
"I spoke with the two in question, at first I thought along the same conclusions as you did. But speaking with them, they had clear minds unlike those of a covenant member. Where there minds are totally and utterly brainwashed those two girls though spoke nothing like a covenant. There is something else going on here, It would be better if we could capture for questioning rather than Capture and if they resist kill them approach. So if you can Director Matou, please take my words with some consideration" he said trying to reason with the man a bit logic and some of his gut feeling on the matter. He hoped that the Director while being strict was also fair at least Ashley had some faith. Although there was very little for this man Rishijo though.
Ashley did hear a cart slowing outside to a stop "Also sir, I think someone needs to get by" he said not sure which lab tech or scientist it was. But he did not want to ruin whatever was on that cart and have the Director blow his top.

"Ahh, yes, the Swiss Military, valiant defenders of justice who laid down their arms and embraced the Covenant with open hands. A FANTASTIC influence and valuable source of elite enemy units that aren't seen often." the Director states, clearly annoyed that Ashley was questioning his judgment. But Ashley kept going. This young one needed to remember where he was and what he was doing here. "The Zodiac Members have clear minds too...that doesn't stop them from obliterating scores of Americans in the campaign in North America, now does it? I will request they be captured alive and restrained with C5 Level Restraints if possible, but there is no need to endanger Japanese lives any more than necessary if that should show up again, or are plotting a large scale operation of some sort." he says, his eyes glinting behind his spectacles. There was a coldness behind his judgment, pure logic. The idea of a human heart, of forgiveness or mercy, were completely not tolerated by him.
When Ashley made his remark about someone trying to get by, the Director glanced in Taika's direction. His expression was a frown as he glanced at the young scientist.
"Ahh, Convict. How good of you to happen to get pulled into our discussion. Do you have the results that were due to me two hours ago?" he says, his icy black eyes looking at the young woman with contempt. However before any response could be heard, a procession of heavy footsteps and whirring metal could be heard coming around the corner. A team of five men in extremely heavy armor, a futuristic design that had numerous built in functions, approaches the director, with one carrying a black, computer and manual locked case. The men barely seemed human, and some wondered whether these were literally the 'cyber soldiers of the future' by the sound of machinery that could be heard. They were the infamous SPECTRE unit. Three of them had heavy rifles of a design that wouldn't be familiar to either of the other two scientists. All the junior scientists would feel tension and anxiety from the presence of these men, and only senior scientists had any knowledge of their workings. The squad captain walks up to the Director and salutes.
"Sir...the sample has been recovered as requested. Unit 03 suffered minor damage to the front biostabilizer." he says, causing the Director to sigh a little.
"Then I'll have it taken care of immediately. The rest of the unit report to your lab for decontamination and debriefing." he says, taking the case from the unit and looking at it with a sigh.
"I am needed in the SX Lab. Take this to my office and leave it on my desk." he says, shoving the case into Ashley's breast, before walking off with the members leaving Ashley with the menial chore he was too lazy to do. If Ashley looked at the case, he would notice that the computer lock was malfunctioning, and the case was damp.

As the other scientist calls attention to her presence, Taika shoots him a death glare. Was it too much to ask that she could escape quietly and go back home? Of course, he probably wanted to remove himself from the situation as much as she did.
She cringes as the nickname… Convict. Evidently, when someone promises you that some things will be erased from record, they lie. They just write it on a memo and send it to all your superiors.
“Those tests need to be done overnight, sir…” Did he really expect her to finish the results for near 100 patients in that short time span?!
And spectre unit to save the day!!!! She takes the time to cart the samples to the freezer. She overhears the spectre soldier though… samples… Her curiosity was piqued. She walks back out to see the other scientist with a brief case. She sort of strides up uncomfortably close to look at the case. “So… know what’s the sample?”

Ashley held his tongue as the Director more or less desided to give him as such. He could not refute the cold logic either as the Covenant had utterly destroyed his country with a massive political victory then one of force. None the less though he would follow orders on capturing the girls was a bit better and none the less he saw the case and saw that there was a problem with the lock and it was damp. For now he stayed silent "Understood sir" said Ashley and then watches the techno soldiers walk off and unlike most of the lab techs was curious on how they worked. If they had something like that then they would have a chance. But at the same time why were they the only thing that was passed. Since these things were created by the Director from the best he knows.
After they pass he sees the other lab tech get closer and from what he remembered. That this girl had been detained for getting samples in sealed off areas from what he knew. The Director was irking him greatly, not only that countless ideas being thrown out. The world was going to hell and there would be no chance of a future or restoring the planet. Perhaps it was time to take matters into his own hands as he remembered those from his own country fighting a bitter revolutionary battle. Once he saw things were clear he turns to Taika "I have no clue but I think we both want to find out. Lets make sure we don't get cought, Lets go to my office. There is a less of a chance for us being spied on" he said in a low tone of voice seeing Taika's curious look. And knowing that she could not help herself for the lust of knowlage. Plus if it was between the two of them though they could keep secrets much easier.

Taika wasn’t expecting any other person in this lab to have a habit of stealing classified materials. For the first moments, she looks at the man like he has two heads before laughing. “And he calls me Convict like I’m the only one. Lead the way,” she says. To think she was upset about leaving work so late and not sleeping. She could totally stay up for 48 hours if the thing in that case was interesting enough.
She might as well get to know her co-conspirator if they were going to be working on god knows what and possibly both be sent to Siberia. “Alright, if we are going to be partners in crime, my name is Taika Laukkanen. So who are you and why haven’t we met properly yet? I am guessing you don’t do much work on the 4th floor with the rest of us who maintain cell cultures.” He certainly looked like he got more sunlight than someone who spent all their working hours doing biological work. Maybe his office and lab had windows…

Ashley hears Taika speak up and carefully moves about carefuly, not to draw attention or get in sight of some of the camras. As he did not know how paranoid the Director was but at the same time this man was super egotistical and would care less on time since he thought of himself and Taika less then himself. He turns to Taika "The reason is, that I work in a different department. I'm Ashley Zelpher, I work in the R&D area and my main study has been physics" he said replying to the fellow lab tech. They got into his office and once they got inside, Ashley closed the door and locked it. His office did not have a window but he did do a lot of field work which got him some sun.
"Anyway lets see whats in here shall we" he said and cleared his desk quickly and placed the case on the table and opend the case or was trying to. "I just want to see what is in here, if those ghost brought it in" he said speaking to Taika. But knowing this girl she would like to dissect the thing if it were a biological sample. If it was something else then he would like to study it himself non the less they were both opening Pandora's box. Since they were going to be going against orders now.

“Ashley,” Taika repeats as if trying to solidify the name to memory. She takes a look around the office. Unfortunately, there was still no view of the outside. Maybe she was just being hopeful as she hadn’t seen the outside world in a good 24 hrs. “So what do they have the R&D department working on so late? Did they actually manage to recover tech from the theatre?”
She looks at the mechanical lock. She couldn’t make out whether Ashley was a boyscout or not, but she might as well offer her skills. She grabs a set of lockpicks from her back pocket. “Hand it here,” she says, “It should take me all of 30 seconds. Honestly, you think they would of invested in something better than this by now…”
