The military police glare at Kousuke, obviously not sure what to make of the situation. They seemed to be unnatural as well, but they were working against the obvious covenant creature. For now they would play along and take them in later.

"We are standard servicemen, we don't have heavy weapons." one says in response to Kouske. The conundrum right now was how to handle the problem. "...Maybe if we bring down some structure on top of it...concrete doesn't conduct electricity does it?" the other remarks.

The youma’s form blinking and jerking seemed to let out a hiss as sparks bounced off of rocks. It was about to jerk forward towards the blockage when a grating sound reached its ears. It was obviously agitated as a high pitched screech came from its lip-less form. This fight was not going according to plan, the girl was suppose to be a quick wipe job.

Another screech ripped the air as the youma arched forward, this girl was going to be fried…then he’d take care of the other one. The youma jerked around the corner only to feel its form burning away. A screech to top all others was let out, a hand reaching out wrapping around an ankle before fizzling away. ‘how could he have failed’ was the last thought before nothing. Nothing was left besides a couple of scorch marks on the ground.

Kousuke looks at the men and considers what they've said. "Alright, how about this? My friend and I are going to try and deal with it while it's in the subway call up a more well equipped team in case it gets out. If we beat it I'll come back here and tell you." Kousuke offers, and then without waiting for a reply, and upon realizing that Yuki wasn't there he bolts to the next subway entrance.

Once he gets there he finds that Yuki has managed to finish off the monster and lets out a relieved sigh. "Oh good, you're okay...Mars." He runs over to her to check for injuries.

"That's a pretty big fireball did you manage to beat the thing?" He asks staring down the stairs and looking honestly impressed. "Oh and the military will probably be here soon so you should get out of here then change back. You do that by fixing an image of your normal self in your mind and willing to return to normal." He explains hurrying her along. The last thing Yuki needed at his point was going to be a run in with the military.

"Luna, go with her and explain what you can. I'm going to deal with the military guys." He says with reassuring smile.

As soon as she launched her attack, Yuki was forced to cover her ears and eyes as the creature let loose a painful, head splitting screech. She wasn’t sure what was happening, but suddenly felt pain around her ankle as she fell to the ground.

Then there was silence.

Opening her eyes, the creature was gone and there was nothing left other than scorch marks. That meant…she defeated it right? The realization left Yuki a bit stunned for a moment before realizing that the second masked man had managed to find her.

”Yeah I’m fine,” she spoke, rubbing her ankle before standing up. It hurt, feeling as if she burnt the skin, but otherwise she’d be fine.

”The military…” Yuki had almost forgotten about the soldiers. It wasn’t like she was their enemy…but at the same time she probably couldn’t just explain to them how a talking cat gave her magic powers and then they’d let her go free either.

”But what about you? You need to get out of here as well.” For a moment, Yuki was afraid that the man would try and fight the soldiers. ”Who are you anyway?”

Kousuke breaths out a sigh of relief as he sees that Yuki is fine. Though as she panics about the military he starts to urge her on. "Don't worry about it. I'm just going to stop by and tell them the monster's been taken care of." He assures her as he begins to head back towards the shoulders, but when she asks him who he was he turns back and grins.

"Don't worry about the small things Taka, the shot clock is running so you'd better get moving. Ask the cat about anything you don't understand." He says as he leaps off towards the soldiers. When he returns to where they were he checks to make sure that he won't be surrounded or attacked and then jogs over to them.

"My companion took care of the monster, I'm going to move this stone before I head out myself." He tells them and then proceeds to push the stone to the side with great effort. "Well it's not much, but I hope that helps you guys out a little he says dusting off his hand and rolling his shoulders.

Luna nods and then runs off in one direction, leaving Kousuke to handle the soldiers...but before he goes off...

"...Don't get caught or sacrifice yourself Earth Guardian." she says firmly, then running off so Yuki could follow and the inevitable 'what's going on questions' begin to start. When they were far enough away for her to return to her normal state. Though something bothered her...what was that other presence that was here before the Earth Guardian and Mars Senshi arrived?

Meanwhile, the soldiers look skeptically at Kousuke as he returns and tries to explain what was going on. While the Earth Knight was good natured, it did seem convenient for the monster to quickly die out of sight and another individual who had the strength to move a rock and seemed to be similar to the Covenant's standard creatures was now trying to talk to them. This was obviously not something that could easily be settled here and now with a passing gesture. The sounds of more sirens outside indicated that soon there would be even more soldiers getting here.

"We'd like you to come with us. We have questions." the more senior officer says in an authoritative tone, while the other was nervous and resisting the temptation to reach for his handgun as a defense against for what all he knew was another Covenant agent on some ploy.

”Hey wait…” Yuki wasn’t done asking the other questions but he was already off before she had a chance. Yuki still wanted to know how he knew who she was and wondered if they would cross paths again. She soon however began to hear sirens and decided to follow his advice and get out of here and quickly ran after the talking cat.

Once they were a safe distance away, Yuki de-transformed back into her winter clothes she had been wearing before, suddenly feeling very tired now that the initial excitement was over. She wasn’t finished yet though.

”You have some explaining to do cat….first off what was the deal with that monster back there. Was it one of those covenant creatures and if so what was it doing here?” The covenant wasn't supposed to be here in Japan. Were they able to slip past the military somehow?

”Also….what’s the deal with this whole Mars guardian senshi business? Why me exactly? Who were those other masked fighters?” There were dozens of other questions she wanted to ask too, like how the cat could talk…but Yuki tried to pick the most pressing questions to ask first.

After being asked to follow Kosuke looks at the police officers and scratches the back of his head in embarrassment. "Well you see guys, that's kinda a problem. I don't really want to be arrested for just doing my best to help out, and to be honest if I stick around here too much longer it's going to attract even more of a scene than what's already happened."

Kousuke then thinks and comes to a decision. "I'll make you a deal, We can communicate by email. I'll set up an account in the next day or so and reply to questions you guys ask via that. I've got my own life to live, but at least this way I might be able to answer some questions for you guys." He suggests.

Then picking up a small rock he writes an email address onto the larger rock. "Erase that once you've got it memorized, I'm heading home." He says and then leaps the stairs and runs off to hide and then transform back.

The two cops were blank, but they didn't pursue. It was their way of showing gratitude for what he did for them. After all, if not for his intervention, they would be dead.

As Yuki gathered her senses, she began her barrage of questions that the black cat was sure would keep her busy for awhile. The first about the monster. How to explain this nature of a monster? The people in this world call them Covenant, I am still trying to understand what this 'Covenant' is, but I know them as youma...creatures that feed off the energy of mortals and use dark chaos energies to slay those who would oppose them, who can only be truly defeated with planetary energy from pure hearts."[/b] Luna says, taking a breath and then thinking before she speaks again.

"You are the chosen who is to use the power of Mars to defeat the forces of Chaos. I don't know why or even if there is a reason you were specifically chosen...but your display today shows you are the legendary guardian senshi of the flame. The other masked one you fought with is the Earth Guardian Knight. The other...I know not. That one I sense a terrible power from, but yet not evil." Luna says, then pausing and letting Yuki make her own questions.

Yuki listened to Luna intently as she explained. So the covenant had somehow managed to sneak its way onto Japan. Even she understood that this was not good news. The only way the country had managed to deal with this threat before was through isolation. Fighting the covenant never really worked…well until just now.

When the cat continued to explain that Yuki was this legendary guardian, she couldn’t help but let out a sigh.

”Why do I get the feeling that this sounds like a whole lot of work and responsibility on my part?” Neither one of those things particularly appealed to Yuki. However even though she said this, there was something scratching at the corner of her mind…a thought Yuki couldn’t quite remember. When Luna admitted to not knowing the other masked man, Yuki thought for a moment.

”Yeah he was odd, but I didn’t get the feeling that his intentions were bad. He saved my life after all. Earlier he asked me….whether or not I would sacrifice my goals for the lives of others.” Oh that was right, now she remembered. Suddenly the strange man’s words made a whole lot more sense and Yuki suddenly realized exactly what her response meant.

”I told him…I’d fight. Ah but why me!? What are one girl, a masked guy back there, and a talking cat going to do against the entirety of the covenant trying to invade the country?” Yuki was very confident when it came to things she knew how to do, aka sports. Fighting monsters with magical girl powers was something she was less familiar with and therefore understandably apprehensive about.

Luna lowered her head a little at Yuki's frustration. She felt bad a little to have to include someone so reluctant in the team of Sailor Senshi that were going to be forming together. But she looks up at Yuki with a sincere expression.

"It is, but you will be one of the only people who can put an end to this once and for all. Only the power of positive planet energy can truly erase a youma from existence." she says, looking at Yuki with every ounce of kitty determination and sense of importance she can imbue on the reluctant senshi.

"As far as that other one goes, hopefully he stays on our side...my ability to sense energy does not tell me his polarity...perhaps he can predict the future or something. In any case, you shouldn't worry about him. Believe it or not, what you can do is more powerful than your country's military. What do you think they would have done against that creature other than feed it energy with their lives?" she says, hoping Yuki gets the sense of just how important she really is.

As the cat try to emphasize Yuki’s importance, she couldn’t help but still look somewhat apprehensive. ”Positive planet energy…look I know I managed to defeat the monster back there, but that was just one monster and I nearly blew up the station. I’m just saying it’s a lot to ask of one person.”

However the cat was insistent and Yuki raised her hands in surrender. It had a point…all Yuki had to do was imagine her brother in that same situation trying to fight the youma and she had her answer.

”Yeah yeah I get it. I guess I can try and fight those things when they pop up. Those covenant monsters have done enough damage around the world and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I think that they are trying to invade my home as well. You’ve got a deal cat….er do you have a real name by chance?” Yuki suddenly wondered as she went to check her phone and let out a sound of alarm.

”Ah! You’re kidding it’s this late already? And the train is obviously a no go at this station so that means it’ll take even longer to get back.” Yuki looked over at Luna thinking for a moment.

”That masked man you were with earlier, the one you said was the Earth guardian or whatever…he seemed to know who I was. Unfortunately my parents don’t allow pets so I can’t take you with me, but I assume he knows how to contact me somehow. I have to run…but I’ll do as you ask so don’t worry.”

And with that, Yuki took off towards home. Not that she was looking forward to it…she was almost certainly going to get grounded for coming home late again.
