A large crowd of protesters march around the National Diet Building. The protest is over a lack of transparency in the Japanese military, and the so-called secret operations that have been happening around Tokyo. “WE WANT TO KNOW!” the crowd screams. A few of them carry signs that hold questions, “What happened in Shibuya?” Others say, “End the cover-ups.” The military police in the area keep an eye on the protesters, but keep their distance.

Across from the street from the protesters, a woman with various piercings stand in a long brown coat and red scarf. Her curly black hair is covered mostly by a black beanie. She leans back into a bench, and shakes her head. “You know, nothing ever gets accomplished this way…”

A freezing breeze blows. The march stops momentarily as it freezes people to the core. Restlessness and anger boil in the crowd. The march takes a detour to the military police. There is some yelling back and forth until the crowd of protesters begins to mob the small group of military police.

Emotional energy swells around Taurus before leaving Earth altogether. Taurus smiles to herself. Sometimes you had to use a little energy to get more. A small push and she can collect the TONS of emotional energy that came off the situation. And maybe she’d get to see actual change happen in Tokyo for once. A win-win as far as far as she was concerned.

On the inside of the Parliament building, Kurio and a squad of fifteen other MPs were in full riot gear. Protests like these had become more common of late. While Kurio knew that there was some truth that the Government was concealing some of the Covenant activity in the city of late, he didn't disagree with the reasoning along with the fact he was duty-bound to keep any incidents he was aware of confidential.

In light of more frequent attacks and protests, incidents like this would have riot ready units on hand out of sight ready to go out at a moment's notice. For now the politicians wanted to minimize the appearance of a police state.

As Kurio is adjusting the armor around his neck, it starts to break loose as the protestors turn violent and begin to mob the police. Kurio rushes to the door with riot shield in hand and calls out into the radio.

"Protestors have turned hostile, I repeat protestors have turned hostile. Group A moving to pull military personnel out of danger, requesting backup for crowd control."

With that, he and the other fifteen rush to the scene where the mob was beating on the other policemen were being attacked. Most begin to push the rioters back with the heavy shields to give the downed personnel a chance to breathe and escape while two of the riot policemen begin to tend to more serious injuries. Violent attacks are responded to with stun batons as the electrified wands would likely incapacitate the more violent long enough to be detained. Kurio himself stands in the middle, directing movements for the riot police to maintain a wall around the injured staff as the large metal shields provided ample protection against (hopefully) unarmed rioters.
