At the American compound, things seemed like a normal day for the heavily guarded compound. The vigilant soldiers kept guard on the perimeter and the heavy vehicles inside were primed and ready for action. At this point, even the most aware soldier felt just a little complacent: nothing interesting has ever happened at this facility and some even begrudge the fact they have to guard this place while their comrades fight and die daily on the homeland.
Radar stations light up as several heavy helicopters approach. All calls are ignored and the vehicle is declared hostile after it gets within a kilometer of the main compound where President Castor was holed up. Anti-air missiles are launched after perhaps too much warning for fear of starting an incident in Japan, with one of the aircraft taking a substantial hit, but not enough to destroy it, just grounding the craft.
The others drop down at the base of the Eagle's Nest facility, as US ground forces begin to move in to capture the inbound trespassers. As they emerged from the heavy metal gateway, powerful beams of energy push them back into cover. The turrets on top of the walls are turned to open fire on the downed craft, but small rockets are launched, guided to each turret to incapacitate it promptly.
As the attackers emerge, it is unclear to the US forces what they are up against. Half man, half machine, they bore strange weaponry and seemed to emit a field of energy of some sort. The U.S. ground forces open fire but the energy fields seem to deflect any small arms fire against them while the mechanized soldiers advance, opening fire on the small group of soldiers that were there. Two are killed in the first volley and seven more are wounded. They begin to pull back and close the gates while the mechanized soldiers, whom totaled about twenty-five begin to close the distance rapidly.
The gate is somewhat resistant to the laser fire, but a breaching charge is introduced and primed while the cyborg soldiers begin to destroy other military property at the base including several vehicles at the base. It isn't long before the cyborgs begin to advance up the hill, navigating the winding corridor. Soldiers open fire and use explosives from above, they are rapidly shot at by the enemy cyborgs.
Behind the procession, a pink haired man follows with a dark smile. His body covered in a bone-like armor, his eyes seemed feral with their red color. A sniper tries to take a shot at him, but before the bullet connects, the man raises his hand and halts it with a barrier, then reaching out to the sniper's mind, as his body falls limp before it rises out of the man's own control...
Over the next fifteen minutes, the sounds of explosions and gunfire would ring out through Chuoku. A powerful, negative presence could be felt throughout the city. News reports would begin to break into normal programming of the sounds of a firefight at the US Base, but no footage is available.
Japanese military forces begin to mobilize and approach the base, but they run into territorial issues with the US gatekeepers and are thus delayed from approaching the scene. Politics always stands in the way of prompt action.
