He strolled along the street, glancing at the various venders that littered the road, shouting and pointing at their produce in attempt to gather buyers. It was almost sunset, so they wouldn’t be open much longer, but that wasn’t why he was there. He kept to himself, hand stuffed in his jacket pockets, shuffling along, weaving in and out of the crowds, avoiding touching anyone. He didn’t really like human contact. It was too intimate, too personal. He had of his head up, but made no eye contact with anyone. He wasn’t looking at any in particular, he was just looking. He had no reason for being there. None at all. Really, he was avoiding his sister, seeing as he was just short on his rent. He wouldn’t spend what he did have, but he couldn’t come up short either. So instead he roamed the busy streets of the Juuban Commercial District, knowing she would never come here. He would avoid being yelled at if he could. He had really sensitive ears. He simply couldn’t handle her shrill tone.
Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a small bar, off to the side of all the shops. It was out door, nothing fancy. Like a pit stop for men forced to go shopping with their wives and girlfriends. He nodded to the guy behind the counter, cleaning a glass and sat down. He ordered a beer. The small amount it would take from the rent wouldn’t really make a dent in the lacking amount. He decided to stick around a bit. He’d been walking for a while and was growing tired.
