‘Ding dong ding ding, ding dong ding ding’
“Welcome, to all old and new. A new year has come and we are back together again.”
As the woman drones on you look down at your welcome package. You've been given a map, your class, sign up sheets for extra curricular activities, and the years schedule. You look at the map, from just walking here the place was huge. School itself was like a small city…. No wonder they handed out maps. The school was built to radiate out like a circle, with multiple buildings. One section was the preschool, then the middle school, high school, then finally the university. Heck you were even sure you saw people on segways getting around this place.
The school grounds were more then amazing, everything was so neat and clean. The campus was landscaped with so many cherry trees it would have been wonderful to see them bloomed…sadly they were in a dormant state, a constant reminder of beauty once lost.. Fountains sprung up in many gardens located in between buildings. Thus creating a frozen statue of ice creating relaxed retreat among the busy chaos of students and faculty running in between buildings.
The buildings were equally impressive, obviously the architecture was top notch, with a bit of old world feel. It had more of a western then a Japanese feel to it, but as you traveled closer to the out skirts of the campus the buildings drastically became more traditional. There was supposedly even an old temple located somewhere in the forest that surrounded the back of the campus.
“Juuban offers many extracurricular activities, along with special courses that allow each student to thrive and reach there full potential. From the arts, to sports we believe a well rounded student is a happy student. “
You hear whispers from the students around you.
“Any one who picks a specialty has to try out before there accepted into the program. Being accepted into a specialty program is like the difference between lower and upper class. The ones in it certainly act it, its like they have an excuse to act like an elitist jerk just cause they have a special arm band.”
You look around…now that you look you definitely see a difference in the dress of some of the students. One thing was the same, the girls are wore white blazers with black trim, along with white pleated skirts with black trim, and black tights. Underneath the blazers were the white shirts with normally red ribbons. The boys wore similar out fits only instead of skirts pants, and instead of ribbons ties. But as you look closer you noticed some students wore arm bands. Some green some purple, and there ties and ribbons matched the colors. These must be the specialty students. You wonder what sections are which. So you flip through the information that was given to you. Apparently there were two programs. The Arts, and Sports. The arts program specifically focused on specialty classes such as acting, music, singing, song writing, play writing, writing arts, painting, drawing, ect. The sports focused on dance, martial arts, soccer, basket ball, foot ball, equestrian ect.
“And that wraps up orientation, you may now all disperse and find your class rooms. Take today to settle in and get to know your peers.”
