It wasn’t too hard to find Kaguya around the school. Just listen for the rumors about a pink-haired girl about to beat the crap out of someone. There were very few pink-haired high schoolers and even fewer with the aggression or physical prowess to fit those rumors. Wandering the locker areas before class, Sophia keeps her eyes peeled for her. She’s just hoping that she arrives after whatever violence has ensued. Not before. Nothing would make the Earth senshi hate her more than breaking up a school fight. And Sophia’s discussion topic of choice wasn’t one that she thought would go over well to begin with.

Kaguya was not fighting anyone and most people were giving her space as she was sitting on a bench inside the school. As the world got into almost a eternal winter. Sitting areas were more common in the schools due to the bad weather. At the moment though, Kaguya was reading something and from the looks of things it was a manga. It was something more Shonen then anything else. From time to time, her violet eyes would look around gazing about. To see if there were any incoming threats or targets she wanted to deal with. As the pink haired girl was about to go back to her manga. Kaguya sees Sophia walking over and sighs. She puts her manga away and pulls out a bottle of water from her bag and takes a gulp while waiting for the girl to come over.

She knew that it was going to be something about Valdis and not to hurt her or kill her in whatever way. This was war and they were fighting for there survival. Heck Valdis knew where her father worked and if they attacked his store, her family could be ruined. Or even taken by the covenant and be turned into a youma. Which sent shivers down her spin and made her feel a bit ill. So it would take a lot of convincing on Sophia's part to try and sway her from not trying to kill Valdis.

Sophia waves and walks over to the bench. “Good morning, Kaguya. I can tell from your demeanor that you already know what I’m about to talk about,” she jests about a certain amount of tension in the air. “I think I’ve been explaining things poorly. I get that you might feel worried about Valdis and Lance. And I suppose saying ‘There not bad people’ doesn’t work well because I say it about everyone.” She pulls her golden pendant from around her neck and shows it to Kaguya, “So I have this pendant. It allows me teleport to Venus castle with other senshi and knights. It also allows me to see into people’s hearts. It’s a little weird. I don’t get thoughts so much as all emotions. Even the buried ones that they might know themselves.” She puts back around her neck.

Closing her eyes, she tries to recall those emotions that she felt before. “Scorpio… he was corrupted except for a small sliver that the darkness couldn’t swallow. When he was purified, that was all that was left. Not enough to live. Yuuichirou. He was fully good. But the corruption was like a cage for his soul. I could see it, but couldn’t reach it. Valdis. Corruption is apart of her soul. Like it’s been there for some time. However, it floods with unconditional love at its core. Pure. I… I don’t get to see that very often. She won’t hurt us. She hasn’t lost that part of her that cares for us. I don’t know what she is doing. Perhaps, she believes she is acting in our best interests. As for Lance, well, he doesn’t lie or hide things. I appreciate his honesty. So he’s not about to turn us over. However, he’s willing to fight. I think he can be persuaded to at least leave the Covenant. I don’t think he really wants to hurt people either. When we spoke, he was mostly concerned with protecting people.”

She looks back at Kaguya, “As for why I care. When this war is over, I want to be able to say that I helped everyone I could. That I never took a life unless it was absolutely necessary. After all, a life cannot be returned once it is taken. I believe it my duty to help all people. I believe that war should be just. Even if you don’t believe in that, we can’t lose sight of what is right and wrong. Anyone can fall. We aren’t immune to corruption. Killing outside of necessity brings us one step closer...”

"You are right....you explaining things is crap. And thank you miss captain obvious on that fact " Said Kaguya with a dry tone as it seemed boring to her and saw the pendant that Sophia brought out. She hears her explanation on the hearts of people and rolled her eyes slightly. But did not doubt her special tallents though and did not doubt she saw that. Although Albina saw the powers of the Covenant warping people. Like Rei-san's friend and shook her head "Sorry.....I don't buy it. Lets take a look at the man you gave a example. Even though there was something his heart.....the Covenant's power overpowered him and if you claim Vladis is somewhat pure of heart? She is a tad warpped if you think about it Sophia. What happens when more Covenant power gets into her system. She might come and attack us, I've had people how became my friends when I was younger. Then they would backstab me in the worst possible way. So excuse me if I don't have any love for anyone betrays another for whatever reason" she said opening herself a little bit to Sophia.

"I know that....you can't do that, its not in your nature. So there are some that I can fully trust and I want to protect them on the same level I want my family safe. And Sophia, this world is either Kill or be killed. That's what I have seen and especialy with the enemy. Almost all of them can not be reasoned with and there out to get us. So if either of them show up in a fight and come after us. I will take them out. I am not going to roll over for them " she said and then sighed and shook her head slightly. "Not everyone can be saved.....if that were the case then why didn't anyone come and help me when I needed it the most" she said looking at the other girl.

Sophia shrugs, “No more warped than the rest of us really. Valdis cares more about the sanctity of life than some of the members of our group. And so far, all her thoughts and actions have been reasonable. Logical. This has been the only thing that hasn’t, and I feel like I’m missing something. If Valdis cared about the Covenant, if she wanted us to lose, if she cared only for herself, do you think we’d be having this conversation right now? I have faith her. She’s earned that from me. I’ve got more faith in her than many people I know.”

Sophia gives a sympathetic look to Kaguya as she talks about kill or be killed and salvation. “Ever since I got this necklace, I’ve been looking into the hearts of opponents. And I’ve seen the hearts of a few of our members. The distinction between us all is blurry. The term enemy never sat well with me because it’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell the difference at all. It’s like looking at a mirror of ourselves. A disturbing notion, but one I accept. I feel sorrow with each live lost even on their side, and I mourn them with everyone else. And I don’t forget them either.”

“I’m sorry that no one came to your side. I think most are too frightened to act when some kind of aggressor comes around. However, I see my job as a senshi as being a symbol of what is good. I became a senshi to help build a utopia. At least, that is what Artemis claims we are capable of. A brighter kind of future. This hope talk probably fits Kousuke a bit better than me, but I believe it too. I’m not asking for you not to defend yourself. I’m asking for you to believe in best of humanity and to stand for the best qualities of it.”

Kaguya thinks silently just a bit before she answers Sophia "I just don't have that kind of faith, gave up most of it in my childhood. Even then, I barely know her and you want me to put faith into a manipulating person like that. Sorry I just can not buy it fully" she said not showing too much love for Valdis. Perhaps she did find the girl ok but after the meeting it put her into question a bit. And then with the more recent betrayal. It affirmed her mistrust in Valdis to not be trusted or take what was said about her with a grain of salt. But with Sophia going into shades of grey of both friend and foe she just sighed "I know that war there are constant shades of grey. But I prefer things to be black and white, it makes things simpler for me......sometimes it gets too complicated trying to see everything as grey. I know it sounds too basic but with constant worry if someone is friend or foe. It would just drive me crazy to no end and just destroy me from within" she said opening her bottle and drunk some more water before putting the cap back on.

"Still then where was there courage to stand up to say something was wrong or do something about it" the pink haired girl questioned Sophia's answer. "Look, I'm not out for some grand utopia I just want the world back to where it was before the covenant caused peoples lives going to hell. I just want peace in the world not some grandiose thing" she said and it was a simple and perhaps bluntly honest about her views as a senshi. "I'm going out there just to do the right thing and just defeat the bad guys and protect those that can not fight back"she said and then answered one more question of Sophia's. "I have seen the cruelty of humanity, but I have not totally given up on it. I just want things simple and clean" she said and it felt like it was down in the dumps for her and finished the rest of the water bottle.

“You just said you didn’t know her. How about you don’t make assumptions about her and call her things behind her back?” Sophia says after Kaguya calls her Valdis manipulative. She had grown closer to Valdis than any other member of the team, being one of the few that she counted as someone who she could rely and depend on.

Sophia’s eyebrows furl with anger, “So you force the situation into an arbitrary right and wrong because it is convenient to you?!” It was one thing to claim ignorance and quite another to choose it. “I endure the constant questioning and second guessing because it is the right thing to do in my position. We have the power to take lives, Kaguya. And all lives are precious, not just normal humans and our own. The other side is made up of living creatures with wants, dreams, goals. To just decide that it isn’t worth the effort… That’s horribly selfish.”

She closes her eyes and runs her hand through her hair. For a few seconds, she remembers chilling in Shinjuku with Lance was an option that she had. But it’s not like she would stop fighting even if the team did manage to infuriate her by their disregard for other people. Taking a deep breath, she stands up. “We all fight for different reasons, I guess. I want to make the world a better place. As for the idea of bad guys, the world isn’t that simple and clean.”

"......All I am hearing from you is Valdis this and Valdis that. Can't you stand up on your own without retreating back to her at all " out of fit of anger Kaguya smashes her fist into a nearby locker making a dent. Her face not even flinching when she did it looks at her. "She has betrayed us and hurt a good few of us. You expect us to ignor it and just make us all think she is the god damn world and she is everything. Then you try and shovel it down along with your ideals that your always going to be the right one? I have been backstabbed countless times a kid. I just want to see who is a threat and who is not. So that others and my self are never hurt again" she said calmly to the brown haired girl. But things were driving her truly mad as it was enough. Most people would not pay no mind due to being Kaguya. "Perhaps I am a little bit selfish, but I never try and force feed all of my ideals down people's throughts. So then how do you sudjest we punish this evil and make them realize the error of there ways! Because there obviously not realizing it or really don't care " as she was angry.

Kaguya gets up and gets her bag "Sometimes, why do I even bother trying to make friends. When they don't even understand me at all. Your only preaching about you understand others, when you don't understand the person in front of you" she said sounding very depressed and then walks off. If Sophia did wish to follow Kaguya though, she would be at the school's green house tending to some of the plants there. Mostly watering them with a watering can as she was though the girl had some tears flowing from her eyes. As she was depressed ".......Why.....why is it that I make others just hate me. I know that others have there own thoughts and feelings. But am I just that messed up and stupid that no one can understand me.......maybe I am. But you all don't care about that, all you know is that you need me to look after you. To protect you until you can blossom.......and yet......why do I end up alone " she said wiping her tears away.

Sophia narrows her eyes as Kaguya puts a dent in the locker. “I’m not even saying that. My world doesn’t revolve around her, and if you think it does, then you obviously don’t pay attention to a damn word I say. However, she is my best friend. And at least understands where I’m coming from unlike anyone else on this team.”

“HOW ABOUT YOU STOP THINKING ABOUT THEM AS EVIL FOR STARTERS?! I swear everyone in this group thinks of this as tv show or comicbook. Where there is true evil that deserves to be punished, and we have the right to decide who is evil and what they deserve. All of you want to ignore morality, saying this is war, but that’s when we need it most,” Sophia yells back.

Her anger subsides as Kaguya gets up and says that she doesn’t understand her. The feeling was kind of mutual, but now she feels guilty over getting angry. “Hey, wait,” Sophia follows after her.

She runs up in front of Kaguya and hugs her. “I don’t hate you. I couldn’t even if I tried. Believe it or not, I do care about you. I’m sorry for losing my temper. I was too hard on you.” She looks through her backpack for a small pack of tissues and hands it to the pink haired girl. “I don’t want you to protect us. We can also stand for ourselves. And I don’t want you to feel alone. I understand the feeling though.” To be alone in a group of people. None of whom see your side of things. “You want to protect people. I get it. That’s what we all want. We just all have different views of that.”
