Nazo didn't respond right away to Kousuke, leaving him to leave on his own terms. It took substantial concentration and focus to maintain the Gate without activating the power, and the gate fades after Kousuke leaves. Blood begins to creep out from the cracks and panels of Nazo's armor as he looks substantially pained as he walks to where Yinko was currently strangling a man.

The soldier meanwhile was unconscious, that head to metal contact must have been pretty rough! The sergeant is thankfully oblivious to Yinko's harsh handling. Hopefully the man doesn't have any health issues from the psychic probing or the physical roughing up.

When Yinko explains his intent to Nazo, the Pluto knight shrugs.

"Perhaps, but how would you let them know that you had this man that you're kidnapping? Extortion's effectiveness is questionable and it could also be taken as a sign of terrorism that hurts the cause more than helps it. Of course it would also make the citizenry think about what's going on with the government, which could certainly be...interesting." the masked one says.

When the other presence appears, Nazo looks up and sighs.

"And we've drawn the attention of a rather substantial threat..." Nazo says as he looks up at where the man in the skull mask was grinning down at them. He holds his scythe up and watches the man up top carefully, waiting to see what his intent was.

"We keep it simple, really," Yinko sighs, turning around. "Just drop the Humvee, the sergeant, the records, everything off right through the front office of the local news station, and let them sort it out. If anyone asks, no one here but us Covenant sympathizers." It seemed like a good idea. It could work, especially if he changed into one of the convenient uniforms just left lying around, attached to the unconscious bodies.

But then Nazo started bleeding, and he reacted to something above. Glancing through the reflection of the... thing.. in the rear window of the Humvee, David wasn't going to push his luck.

"How bad?" David whispered, keeping his back turned, eyes on the sergeant.

"Maybe, or the roughed up soldier might also warrant a call to the cops and the ambulance, depending on how nosy your TV people would be to rummage through beforehand." Nazo says with a small shrug. When David asked how bad, Nazo chuckled a little.

"The old man made my body such that there is highly compressed magical energy through each bit of my being. Unfortunately, this makes invoking my large scale powers a problem and it causes cracks much like too much water pressure through a pipe. In my case I leak blood instead of water. It will heal in time...it's just a price for summoning the gate." he says calmly.


While Yinko opted not to act right now, the sound of rushing feet approaches. One might think it were the soldiers returning after the fear wore off, but what they saw was different. A group of five men and one woman in white uniforms and using home-made weaponry approaches. They had what seemed to be guns but with glowing crystals installed in them. They kneel on the ground near one of the stopped vehicles and raise their weapons at the man on the roof.

"Covenant Presence Confirmed...engaging, send reinforcements from North Tunnel" one male says into a headset. The group resembled no known military branch. As the weapons begin to glow, they fire a volley of white bolts at the presence on the roof which seemed more like energy than lead. The figure on the roof begins to explode in white flashes of light, leaving a glowing, smoke residue.

The woman holds her hands up after the volley and begins to glow faintly. Blue light surrounds the team in white on the ground while they all watch to see the extent of the damage they inflicted on the target. They have paid no heed to either knight remaining yet, perhaps having written them off as not a threat, or at least not the biggest threat.

Someone once asked Yinko for a definition of war, though he had no true definition for it. At least, he had no definition up until this point. Staring at the group in white randomly shooting... were those honest to God energy weapons? A slight smirk crossed Yinko's shadowed face, the glint of the gnashing canines dulled by the night.

Yes, he had a definition. War was controlled confusion. The person who controlled that confusion, they were the victor.

He didn't think, didn't even consider any other course of action. Walking right up to the group, he leveled his eyes at them, and called the power forth once again. "Synapse Shadow!"

It would be difficult, shutting them all down at once, but if he aimed for their motor control, they'd crumple like rag dolls, and he'd be a few ray guns richer.

As David begins his mental attack, the nearest three combatants begin to cling to their heads and scream audibly. Their weapons fall to the ground, looking like heavily modified standard American assault rifles. The woman turns to where Yinko is and emits a visible blue energy as a potential protection ability as her eyes turn white. While the initial three would remain huddling in terror, the other two male combatants turn to Yinko. One holds his hand as a visible ball of flame accumulates and propels itself at Yinko with fastball speed after a two second charge time, the other throws a grenade at Yinko.

With fast reflexes, Yinko would notice it was a flash bang grenade, detonating seconds after it lands. The presence on the roof disappears from sight, possibly from out of the same reality.
