“School dance tickets for sale. All week. Right Here. $10 per a person,” says Midori, sitting behind a long table. There are a stack of dance tickets to her right and box to collect money to her left. Honestly, she wished that they started advertising earlier. The only people who really knew about the dance were those in charge of organizing the event until this Monday. However, that’s what she gets for letting someone else take the reins for a bit. Who cares if she was a senior and other people needed to learn?! Things needed to get done right. At least, they managed to get all the posters up this morning, which required getting to school a few hours early. The people on Monday only put about a third of the posters which angered her to no end.

Doing things right also meant sitting at the table collecting money all lunch period. Most people would sign up for shifts before or after classes, but never during lunch. So this was her shift for all five days of the week. She tries to keep up the pep, calling out to the other students to buy tickets, but her annoyance over her situation is starting to show. “Hey, who wants to go to the school dance next Friday night? On the 26th, music, food, and a raffle. Want to ask out that special someone? Ask them to the dance on the 26th!”

Amarissa was passing the table on the way to her next class. 'Hm. The school dance..why not? Maybe Kousuke will go with me,' she thinks to herself. Digging out the $20 needed for 2 tickets, she approached the table.

"2 tickets please," she asked, tossing her long silver hair out of her face before handing over the money. "Thank you," she says after the transaction is complete, tucking the tickets into her bag and continuing on her way.
