She goes to the outerlying areas of the base where all the families stayed. It doesn’t take long to get from the train to her house. Holding the bundled cat, Sophia sneaks into the kitchen. It has been hours since dinner, so no one should be in there. She felt that the issue of the cat was easier to break over breakfast.

She places the cat carefully on the table as she rummages through the fridge for some kind of leftovers. There was some chicken and rice that had been in there for a few days, but the cat probably wouldn’t mind. “Ok. Give me a few minutes to cook this, Simba. I am sure you are plenty hungry after the train ride.” She grabs a plate, places the food it in, and pops into the microwave for a few minutes.

While the chicken spins in a circle inside the microwave, she grabs a small disk and fills it with milk. She sets it next to the cat, and keeps her eyes on the entrance to the kitchen, hoping her parents and her brother would stay away until the cat finished eating.

FRESH AIR AT LAST!

Artemis squirmed out of the garment once released from his warm, fuzzy, but slightly suffocating wrap when he had the chance and takes several breaths. There were so many inconveniences to being a cat....but on the plus side, he was small, and pretty young girls were getting food for him.

Sitting up on the table, her looks at her and tilts his head in that cat-like manner...just something about her seemed to draw his attention. A strange, unspoken affinity that called out to him. Could she be the guardian of Venus? She had to be...but how does one ask a kind soul like this to become a magical warrior? The thought about food snapped him out of his daze, his stomach growling again a little.

"You have no idea..."[/b] he blurts out, then covers his mouth with his paws, before trying to then look cat-like again. Hopefully she didn't notice, or at least put it off as hearing things

Sophia spins around at the male voice. Did her brother miraculously spawn teleporting powers and appear behind her to comment on the cat? Or did he have secret ninja skills? She is a little surprised to see no one behind her. All that exists in the room is the cat. She peers outside the kitchen. Not a soul. She even looks up at the ceiling for a bit. She stares at the cat for a bit before realizing that she is being ridiculous.

She mumbles to herself, “I must be tired to start hearing things…” Clearly running around the city had her tired. She grabs the chicken out of the microwave and places it in front of the cat. She pets the cat while allowing it to eat. “Lucky you… you napped the whole way here,” she says smiling down at the cat. She knows that she should probably call the shelter tomorrow to look see if anyone reported a cat missing of his description, but she enjoys having a pet for the moment.

“Ok. Time to make something for myself,” she says as she sorts through the pantry to make something for herself. She decides that breakfast for dinner sounds wonderful, and gets a bowl of cereal.

'I suppose there is only one way to find out..' Artemis thinks, indulging in Sophia's kindness and the food she so graciously offered. He ate calmly and slowly, chicken...everything tastes like it, but that's perfectly fine as long as far as he was concerned!

When Sophia turns around, Artemis quickly gets to work. Having only a few minutes to really act, he closes his eyes as the crescent symbol glow on his forehead for a moment, a small pen-like object manifesting on the table near one of the chairs with a symbol of Venus on it. But the object alone wouldn't be enough.

Seeing a scratch pad and a pen nearby, the cat fumbles the pen into it's paws and scribbles out 'Venus Power Make-Up' onto it. It was incredibly sloppy and scratched up, but what do you expect? A cat wrote it!

After nudging it into sight near the 'pen', Artemis hoped that his little ploy would work. Of course, if Sophia happened to turn around in this process, it would make for an awkward explanation of what's going on. Regardless, he turned back to his plate and continued to innocently gnaw on the chicken, assuming Sophia doesn't catch him red-pawed

With cereal bowl in hand, Sophia sits next to the cat. She then sees the “pen” and the note. She quickly gets up from the seat and circles the entire kitchen, looking for someone who may have placed it there. “Nico?” she calls out quietly, expecting her brother to appear out of nothingness. But of course, that doesn’t happen.

She looks at the cat and feels for a second that he is more a white rabbit. However, she would never want to play the part of Alice in real life. That seemed rather disorienting and traumatizing. Was this cat hyper-intelligent? How was it capable of using a pen to write a note? Where was it keeping the pen? She picks up the pen, examines the pen as well as the note, and asks the cat, “Simba, are you trying to tell me something? How did you get this? Who taught you how to write?What is ‘Venus Power Make Up?’”

The pen emitted light that swirled around her as the world disappeared from her mind. The tiara around her head was the first thing to appear. Suddenly, she was wearing a white dress with orange under skirts and orange bows in the front. Her arms were covered by orange gloves and her feet by long orange boots. A yellow bow sprouted out around her chest with an orange heart in the center as well as the back part of the dress. She turns her head, and with a slight swoosh, her hair almost doubles in length.

Finally, the transformation is complete, and the world comes back spinning. She sits down on the chair and stairs up at the ceiling for a bit, trying to comprehend what just occurred. Taking a deep breath, she passes the pen and paper to the cat. “Simba, you know magic?” Maybe the wardrobe change was a gift from the magical cat. She looks down out her outfit, “I guess this is a cute dress. Thank you.” She wonders however if she will need to get a haircut now.

"So...my hunch was right...you are Sailor Senshi Venus.."[/color] Artemis says once Sophia came out of her transformation state and emerged to ask him about the magic. A bead of sweat appeared on his head. How to explain what just happened to her and what it means....hoo boy, this was going to be a long conversation. It made the cat slightly sad to know that such a kind soul would inevitably have to face the forces of Chaos.

"...I guess magical is one word you can use to describe me. However, my name is Artemis. I hope you will accept my apology for having to be subtle up until now. As for this...you are a gifted individual, whom can channel the elemental powers of Venus." he says, taking a pause and then allowing it to sink in for a moment. He was sure that she would have many questions for him.

Sophia jumps a little when Artemis begins talking. It takes her a little while to respond to him. “I can understand having to be subtle I guess. No apology needed. Talking cats probably attract a ton of attention. You are actually a cat right? And you can talk and write? And your name is Artemis. Well, I guess that is a good name too.” However, she did like the name that she picked out for him.

She tries her best to comprehend what he is saying, but it doesn’t make any sense. “Sailor Senshi Venus? My name is Sophia. Ummm… perhaps you have the wrong girl? I don’t really know what you are talking about. I will accept the gifted compliment, but I haven’t ever channeled any elemental powers. At least, not that I know of. In fact, I am not sure what that means either. Like controlling fire or water or something? I haven’t done that ever. Also, why am I dressed like this, and how do I change back? This seems like it would be a little cold for the weather. Also, is this pen a pen? Is it like a magic wand?" She flicks the pen around like a conductor's baton, but nothing happens to her disappointment.

Several beads of sweat run down the white cat's head. This was going to take awhile. It was to be expected when you go from normal girl to girl endowed with magical powers. Artemis stretched a little, arching his back, his tail wiggling in the air a little, before he responded to the next inquiry.

"there is no mistake that you are she, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to transform. There was once a sailor Venus whom could fire a ray of light from the tip of her fingers that could illuminate the darkest black. the cat says, then shrugging slightly about the response of the outfit. It was kind of a mystery to him too, why did the senshi have suck a skimpy outfit? Not that he was one to complain, but it was slightly impractical after all.


"Well I can't really explain the outfit...but to change back you just have to imagine yourself as you were. That object you have is known as a 'henshin' item, which will allow you to tap into your potential at will. Chances are if you able to summon the powers of the Venus Senshi, then they will be needed in the days to come. I am sorry, but you may be called upon to fight evil forces whom threaten the innocent. However, you will not be alone. There are others like you, others whom's talents combined with yours will create an unstoppable force to be reckoned with." he says, then looking out a nearby window at the snow falling.


"I was sent here long ago, to help the various senshi come together to push back any threat that may arise, but something happened. The world is not supposed to be like this...I don't fully understand it yet...in fact, today I feel like I woke up after a long, long sleep...I'm not sure even how long I've been out." he says, the more laid back cat having his more serious moment. He stares absentmindedly out into the world, his tail swishing on the table nearby. Even as much as the cat knew about the senshi, he sorely lacked information on the current state of the world.

Sophia gets up and starts to move around the room. “Alright. I am going to recap. I have elemental powers of Venus, for whatever that does, that I can somehow tap into with my henshin item, and I need to use that to stop some sort of evil in the world. Is that about right?”

Her gaze turns to the window that Artemis was looking at it, and the never-ending winter. “I can’t say things have been normal in the world for a long time. What evil? Are you talking about the Obelisks? Are you trying to tell me to become a superhero? How does someone become a Sailor Senshi anyway? Was I born with these powers? What are my powers? And who are the others?”

She imagines back to what she was wearing earlier that day. The transformation back is a lot quicker, simpler. “What exactly does this mean for me? What do you want me to do?”

"That about sums it up...I know it's a lot to take in all at once, but believe it or not, there is a great future ahead for the entire world if you will work with the others to make it happen...a world where everyone is happy, where sickness and evil intentions are nonexistent. It is a beautiful world..."[/color] he says wistfully, looking at the snowy outside.

"Superhero huh...I guess that's one way to put it. The way you are a senshi is simply a birthright, a latent potential that has slept within you until now. Nobody else in this world can tap into your power, or that of Venus. Typically, these abilities of Venus revolve around Light and Love...I believe you already have a strong natural affinity for love, the light part will follow suit just as well."[/color] he says, pausing and then pausing when she asks about the other senshi.

"I don't know. I haven't personally run into any of them yet, you're the first...but I'm sure the others are in this town somewhere. That's why Luna and I were sent to Earth to find the senshi, to prepare them to be guardians of the solar system. I had to go to England initially because one was out there, while Luna was to search the Japan area. I can faintly sense others like you, but I won't know them until I see them."[/color] he says, then trying to ease the girl's mind by smiling a little.

"But hey, you have an attractive young cat to personally guide you, you're lucky!"[/color] he says adding a little humor to the serious mood.

“Well, you certainly are the most adorable cat that I have ever seen,” she says as she pets the cat for a few seconds.

Sophia’s face becomes fairly serious. Staring down at her bowl of cereal now, she says, “I can’t say that I believe that I am as powerful as you are saying, but I will give it a try. I suppose if I have that sort of power than it is only right to use it to protect the world. Anything else would be selfish, wouldn’t it?” She did rather like her life, but the idea of creating utopia was appealing. She could understand giving up this life for something like that.

She smiles at Artemis and asks, “So when and how do we start?” She thinks a little on the question that she just asked, “Should we try to find the others? I have no clue how to even start that. But I would be happy to help.”

Artemis can't help but to let out a steady purr for a few moments as the lovely young woman pet him, but then he gets his mind back and then shakes his head, moving a few steps away. It was impossible to concentrate when humans did that! Sulking a bit for letting his feline instincts get head of his intelligent logic, he looks up at her and sees a determined expression. This was a good sign.

"I am grateful you are willing to help. Truly. We start any time an evil presence comes about and needs to be pushed back. There was one far off earlier today, but it disappeared before I could get anywhere near it. I'm certain at least another senshi is active out there. I am quite certain you will be drawn to each other, perhaps you even go to the same school, I mean how many schools could there be out here yes?" he says to the young woman, then yawning and hopping on the table, sitting on his haunches.

"But I think for tonight, you can rest at ease. Don't stress the superhero stuff as much as you can, you are still you after all...even without the Venus aspect, I am honored to have your acquaintanceship.[/color] he says, meowing lightly and rolling a little bit to get a scratch that started on his back.

Roll left, roll right, roll left, roll right....right a little more...

*THUMP*

With an ungraceful flop, Artemis falls off the table, landing on his back dazed, but feeling more embarassed. Here he was, the intelligent know it all cat and he rolls himself off a table..

Sophia carries the sleeping cat out of the kitchen. “Even if you can talk, you still sleep as much as any other cat,” she says, taking the cat upstairs. She finds a pillow and places it on the floor of her bedroom for him. “This should be a good place for you,” she says.

She flops down on the bed herself. That was a lot to take in, making it a mentally exhausted day. Maybe she was Alice, chasing after white rabbits into worlds that she barely understood. She didn’t really have a choice not go further after hearing what Artemis had to say. He seemed so desperate just to find her.

She considers what he says about being drawn to the other senshi, going to the same school. Was one of her classmates out there trying to protect the world? Were they out there alone? For some reason, she couldn’t stand the idea of someone fighting alone.

Artemis told her to rest. She closes her eyes for just a bit, and goes to sleep quickly.
