The priestess frowns slightly at the mention of her band. Having a celebrity around could be troublesome as well. It would be better to nip this potential issue in the bud right now before this whole process became started.

"With regards to your music career, there will be no media or obsessive fans allowed to despoil the temple grounds. The role of the temple as a place of prayer and hope is not to be disrupted because you are an idol." she says firmly, then thinking for a moment on how to respond to her inquiry about emotions and powers.

"There is a link, yes. Typically, positive emotions strengthen powers that generally act on the behalf of others, and the opposite is also true. However it is not as though you can be taught a power from scratch. Natural potential makes you eligible to use what you have. It has taken me a lifetime of practice and effort to learn how to read the flames and exorcise evil. If you become overwhelmed by negativity, then you will be unable to tap into your abilities, and if you descend into the chaos, you will lose your humanity and become a mindless beast like those Covenant monstrosities." the priestess says, with a slightly bittter expression at the last remark, thinking of something from her own past.

But Valdis'' motivation' made a bubble of sweat go down the side of her head.

"I suppose a motivation that achieves the desired end is as good as any, regardless of how subtly evil it sounds..."

”If you can manage that I will be ecstatic…despite what I wish I do not have control of others actions…the fans go where they wish and me getting mobbed is always a occupational hazard...I avoid it as much as possible, I prefer to single out my victims”

The more the priestess talked the less likely Valdis thought she’d be able to cultivate these good feelings. She wasn’t exactly the cuddly sunshine and rainbows type…She strongly believed a humans basic nature was selfish, and there were very few good people in the world. Human nature was to get a head; if you weren’t the one to get there first then you were stepped on. Nothing came without a condition not even parent’s love. Though she supposed her life did have some positives, she truly enjoyed her music, and she had fun messing with people….she could defiantly cultivate that…though the priestess probably differed in opinion on how to do that. But even she realized those side of her emotions were shallow…at least compared to their counterparts.

”I don’t like to be in chaos myself, I prefer to be the cause of it….now when do we start these lessons?”

"...Tomorrow you will begin your work at the temple. After a time of rest and effort, you will be given a lesson to this. I have much to think about, tutoring such a unique individual requires a considerable amount of preparation." she says, standing up and then looking at Valdis softly.

"...I may seem harsh at times, but it is the way I know. The path to success is always difficult. Those who take the easy way out suffer for their lack of diligence. I have faith that you can tame yourself, I just ask you to not make the mistakes that those before you have made." she says, then walking to the entrance of a hallway.

"You may take your tea with you, I will show you to your room." she says, then disappearing around the corner and making her way skillfully down the traditional Japanese hallways into a simple guest room with a comfortable but basic futon and appropriate bedding. On a small table there were two changes of clothing: a plain night set, and a Miko's uniform that would serve as clothing the next day due to her tattered garments likely being unpleasant to wear. A tub of warm water and soap was nearby with a small mirror for hygiene.

”Well then that’s the nice thing about me granny, I’m too odd to make choices normal people make…. As for the rest I say bring it on”

A wicked grin was set upon her lips, she relished in challenges. She fallowed the priestess, downing her tea as they went. When she saw her room Valdis yeep’d for joy and grabbed the old Priestess in a big hug.

”THANK THE GODS! A BATH!!! Thank you granny!”

Valdis had no modesty issues, she started stripping off her clothes before jumping into the bath at letting out a sigh of contentment. She would bath and get dressed in the night clothes provided and hit the sack. That night Val ended up sleeping so soundly, when the sun rose though she was up with it. Due to rigorous timing schedule she was always up early. Even though she woke up exhausted still…She pulled herself out of the comfy futon, put it away and donned on a very uncharacteristic miko outfit. She sneezed….her nose was runny and her throat felt funny…she shrugged it off and went to go find the old priestess.
