”I’d like to see that….”

Now it was his turn to figure out whether she was serious or not. But really seeing anything implode on itself would be interesting….Though if she was in his place and held all the answers she would most likely give cryptic answers as well…so she understood the fun part…one way or another she’d find a way to get even with him for his little fun at her expense. As soon as he turned around she let loose a snowball straight at that mask…this was oddly satisfying.

”Healing abnormally fast, seeing futures, isn't that stuff all the things mutants effected by those black spires? Doesn't that make me like that thing in the park?”

And there went another snowball….now she was just wondering if the man would respond to the pelting…after all he had been quick to throw them at her before. Well if she really was like that thing in the park then her demoness nick name her school mates had given her certainly fit…. More so then before. The masked man continued to speak….she could hear the grin in his voice. This annoyed her…Her next snowball ended up being aimed at a branch from a tree above the masked man, creating a very large pile of snow to come down in a wave….if that didn't get a reaction out of him short of shoving snow down that robe of his she didn't know what would.

”Why can’t you teach me, your already here”

"....Well you see....urgh....arghhhhh" he says, disappearing as if he vanished into a single point on his chest, leaving nothing but a trace after a brief green flash, just before the snow hit where he was standing. There is an odd silence in the air for a moment, but then Valdis would find herself with a dusting of snow falling on her. The masked figure sitting in a tree nearby, holding one hand faintly glowing as he was shaking the tree with another, causing all the snow in said tree to be dumped on Valdis. Okay, that was cheating to some extent but well even he had to have his moments.

Plus...Valdis probably deserved it.

After watching Valdis' initial reaction to the snowstorm, he answers her inquiry about powers.

"Believe it or not, there are others whom wield powers most do not. That would be like asking if the magical girl you saw, the senshi, was like the monster. No, you are not a monster, because if you were, then I'd have to kill you, and I'd hate to have to do such a gruesome deed to one such as yourself, as lovely and demented as you may be." he says, then shrugging his shoulder slightly about the inquiry about teaching her.

"Because it is a long process, and extended presence around me will inevitably make you a target. Plus, I have other things to do while the other ones are awakening and growing into their potential. I would suggest you talk to Lady Priestess Hino here...if you are honest and diligent, then she will be able to assist you in developing your potential." he says, then turning to face where the main room of the temple was.

Valdis blinked as he suddenly imploded on himself, next thing she knew a large thump of snow plopped down on her. By now her body was numb enough that she couldn't really tell the difference. Her eyes shot up into the tree, a bolt of laughter escaped her lips. She liked this persons sense of humor as strange as it was.

”Ok I admit I don’t think I can top that, I bow to your superior snow war skills”

She gave a small bow. It was a relief to hear that she was not like the monster; that and the fact he’d have to kill her if she was really did mean he was on the weird, what did he call her, senshi ‘s side. She wasn't even insulted by the fact he called her demented…demented had become apart of her image. To her that was a compliment. Valdis walked towards the tree.

”Who are you that it would make me a target if I’m around you? ….Also…about that…”

She scratched the back of her head.

”She probably wont….I glued her feet to her sandals once….and there may have been one or two incidents with a snake or two…and since you already seem to know so much about me you know I’m far from honest…diligent yes…honest no.”

With a quick motion Valdis pulled herself up into the tree grabbed the edge of his robe and yanked hard enough to pull him out.

"Think about it. I am a magically imbued being who is going head to head against all the creepy shadowy monsters that you call Covenant in this world, pissing off their bosses, and soon enough pissing off the military for being a 'vigilante' and making them all look like buffoons when they try to combat the supernatural with conventional weapons. Did you really think that they can keep this threat contained forever? It's simply because the Covenant has largely been taking over the rest of the world while leaving this area safe, because they can tell there is something sleeping in Japan...something that can end them. Come at your enemy with all your strength and crush them with overwhelming force...that is how they operate." he says, then shaking his head a little. When Valdis shakes the tree, he falls over, due to the weight of his armor...landing in the snow with a triumphant thud. Standing up, you can almost feel the glare coming from beneath his mask to Valdis, before he shakes it off.

"Then I shall talk to her if necessary. Chances are, she is aware of this conversation and that she will have a role to play in the war to come." he says, then turning to face the temple.

"This is quite possibly the safest location in this city, maybe even the world. The monsters...youma...covenant, whatever term you want to use...they are reluctant to enter holy ground, where years of positive energy accumulate. It weakens them...in fact, any strong source of positive energy can deter them. The obelisks are negative emotion personified. You can call them...the manifestation of the dark heart of the people of the world. That is why without the senshi, this world WILL fall. The overwhelming sentiment among humanity is inherently drawn to negativity." he says, then shaking his head a little bit.

"Humanity is foolish, universally with few exceptions." he states, then looking up at the night sky, slightly distracted by the full moon overhead.

”I look forward to seeing that; your just like one giant walking prank aren't you? ….and hey I thought my make shift conventional weapon against the demon today was clever.”

She listened with a thoughtful expression as he continued, slowly it turned a frown when he mentioned the covenant taking over the rest of the world….Valdis knew that all to well from her homeland, something which had been one of the first to go. After all her country had such a dark past… She tilted her head to the side her eyes holding a level of comprehension.

”To go at ones enemy with all ones strength is not such a bad strategy…”

She didn't learn much from her father but when it came to crushing ones opponents…it was a talent they both shared. It was the reason she rose in her career so fast. In show biz you had to crush your opponents. A chuckle escaped her lips when he came crashing down; she just gave him a sly smile and batted her eyelashes in mock innocence.

”Talk to her all you like…if she agree’s I’ll assume you’re a miracle worker.”

As he continued she leaned against the tree crossing her arms, mostly to hide her shivering. The cold was finally starting to take its effect on her.

”Soooo…what your saying is…if a bunch of people had a love orgy near a spire it would fall?”

The masked figure had a moment of silence after hearing Valdis'...suggestion. Several beads of sweat could be easily visualized going down the side of his temple from the comment Valdis just suggested. He faces away, and twitches slightly at the absurdity of the comment. Eventually, he faces her again.

"...No it doesn't quite work like that..." he says, then deciding not to elaborate further. There were things that would be dangerous to let her know right now, to let anyone know. He then exhales and glares thinking about the way to get the priestess to seriously entertain the idea of training her.

"...She will probably want some kind of apology. A substantial one. When you go home tonight, work on it as a way of making peace for your crimes in the past." he says basically, then shaking his head slightly.

Valdis had to hide her face with her hand to cover up a grin at the twitch, she liked doing that to people way to much.

”You seemed to take time to enjoy that thought tho”

She smiled slyly at him. When he suggested she make a sincere apology she raised an eyebrow at him like he had two heads….he obviously did not thing that statement through.

”Asking an apology from me would go against her beliefs, after all according to her religion we are kami’s children, and our natures are suppose to be respected….Its not in my nature to apologize for something I am not sorry for…. Those pranks provided a great deal of amusement that I do not regret…and she got a couple of good stories out of it in the end. I believed I was used as a teaching example on what not to do a couple of times as well. So she’s already mad her use out of me, if she asks for payment in a form of an apology that just means I’ll have to even it up again.”

She stated all of this in a very matter of fact tone, tho a bit of a shiver was now creeping into her voice….damn she was cold….and she had so far to walk home…..and the subway was closed by now…maybe she would have to convince the miko’s to let her spend the night or risk freezing to death.

”I’m cold…”

"An interesting perspective. Perhaps the Priestess will share your opinion. However, come. We should get out of the hypothermia. Besides, we shall test your theory soon enough, the priestess should be ready by now." he says coyly, in a way such that the queen of insanity should wonder to what extent this was planned from the beginning.

As he walked through the snow, and assuming Valdis followed, they would approach a main chamber of the temple, where a beautiful woman with long black hair and blue eyes in an exquisite yet simple red and white priestess outfit was waiting with tea laid out on a table. As the masked man approaches, her attention is raised.

"...So the young one from my visions is forthcoming?"

The masked man nods.

"...I shall weigh the value of her potential...regardless of the...history...I have with her." she says, patiently waiting for Valdis to make an appearance.

”I wasn't aware that hypothermia was something you could get out of…. I’m beginning to think you just like stalking people in general… I mean you talked as if you knew me already and now your watching priestess…I’m thinking your obsession is beginning to border the lines of illegal.”

She began to fallow the man.

”You still haven’t told me your name….”

When she heard a woman speak she poked her head out from behind the robe figures large form.

”Young one forthcoming? Really…Granny I know your old but give yourself some credit…your not that old..”

She raised an eyebrow…seriously most people who talked like that were long buried under ground.

"So literal." he says, ignoring the remarks she made about stalking. It was just going to be her nature to make remarks like that to get a reaction. The best way to handle it was to ignore her. As she decided to hide behind him upon entering the chamber where the priestess is, he blinks behind her with another short ranged 'implosion' and nudges her forward.

"You just like digging yourself deeper don't you? Saa...." he states, then turning and intending to walk outside, leaving Valdis in the room with the priestess. The priestess meanwhile waits for Valdis to take a seat or leave, whichever she chooses to do.

Valdis blinked as the giant figure in front of her disappeared and then started pushing her.

”hey hey hey, when did we get to touching familiarity.”

Her face blanked as he turned to walk way, she grabbed hold of his sleeve and with a very convincing pleading expression said.

”NO, don’t go, don’t leave me with the old granny; she’ll suck my youth away!”

She looked back at the priestess and waved.

”Also why do you keep ignore my question on what your name is….You know what I’m just calling you Stalker-san. ”

She sighed and let go of him; she really was to tired for this. This time she actually really debated on whether she wanted to subject herself to the teachings of the priestess. Con was…she’d be working with granny, and cramming her already packed schedule…..Plus she wouldn't be defenseless in the fight against the covenant….and she could probably learn a few skills to creep people out. Ok she was all for creeping people out. Guess it wouldn't hurt to have a chat with granny. Valdis went and do to her extreme tiredness plopped down as ungracefully as one of her stature could.

”Ok Granny how is this going to work?”

"....I am needed elsewhere. My duties are not limited to what is in this city. We will meet again soon I'm sure." he says turning and beginning to walk away slowly.

"...As for my name...I am not one who has an identity in the same sense that one such as you does. One such as I knows not the sensations of one such as you. Cherish what you do have, because you could very easily lose it in the course of events to come. You need to stand on your own, otherwise there is no point in you getting involved. You will be a target and a corpse if you cannot act independently in the war that is to come." he says, then disappearing in a teleport, leaving no trace of his presence behind. It was clear that whatever was going to come, this man had an agenda to push through.

Meanwhile, as Valdis plopped down, she promptly had an Ofuda pelted against her forehead. The presence of the Ofuda will make Valdis slightly disoriented, before it falls off.

"...You will serve as a Miko. Work hard on behalf of the temple and purify yourself through your actions in mind, body, and spirit. When you are ready, I will teach you how to hone in the potential that you have per the request of the nameless one. Had I not seen the visions myself, I would have marked it as foolishness." the Priestess admits, then sitting calmly, and picking up the tea kettle, pouring the tea for Valdis.

If and when she drinks the tea, she will find it to be surprisingly refreshing and invigorating from a selection of many herbs and spices.

She blinked as he left…she really was going to have to teach that guy how to enjoy this life…she hated when people got all serious like that. That and she was going to give him a name, once she figured out a good one for him.

”I like him…he’s amusing”

Next thing she knew something was being slapped on her forehead by old granny and it stung! BAD.

”OW, what the hell!”

Her glare at the priestess was intense as she ripped off the paper on her head, a eerie grin spread across her face. The ofuda in her hand shriveled up in a purple flame. OOhhhhhh that priestess was in for hell for that one. Though her thoughts were completely interrupted by the burning piece of paper in her hand. She yelped and her eyes bugged out as she threw it down. She stared at it like it had three heads….what the hell was that….Then she looked back at the priestess all thoughts of revenge gone thanks to the fright of it bursting into flames in her hand…strangely the flames didn’t burn the flames had sort of a comforting feel to them.

”Miko? Me? Do your other apprentices know what your unleashing on them? Also he’s not nameless his new name is Nazo. I’ve decided it. Nothing should be without a name…”

It was a sad thought to be without a name, she didn’t know why but it just struck a chord in her. ..She calmly took the tea with a small word of thanks.

”So what visions are you two having of me?”

She took a sip of tea, the hard work really wasn’t going to bother her. She was the type even if she hated it had to do her best at it. It was just how she was.

”Also please explain why that stung…it was a piece of paper and it just burst into flame. Also may I stay here for the night? Trains are shut down for the night.”

She was glad for the tea, it seemed to warm her bones which were pins and needles from the cold.

"...You will act as an assistant to all other Miko who serve the temple. Any disruption or problem caused within the temple grounds will be a move for dismissal." Priestess Hino said in response to the remark about that which was to be 'unleashed' upon them. "I know it goes against your nature, but discipline and respect is required so long as you are on the temple's grounds." she says softly yet firmly. The priestess exhales a deep breath for a moment, contemplating what to say to Valdis next. The amount of trouble that was going to come from having her here was likely to be substantial no matter what she did, but she had to be assertive to mitigate what she could.

The remark about the masked man's name wasn't responded to. There was slight discomfort in her eyes about the masked man being brought up, but she pushed it aside for now, focusing again on the task at hand.

"...Within you is great potential to do great good for the world and for humanity itself. In fact, you may prove to be a factor that sways the battles to come in favor of humanity...however..." she says, looking at the ash on the ground from the ofuda.

"...There is also a darkness that must be quelled within you before you can reach your true potential. It is not your mischievous nature that I refer to, but something that dwells within your soul, tempting you when the opportunity presents itself, and once you go down that road, you will descend past the point of return...That is why the ofuda burned like it did, reacting to that aspect within you." she says, looking at the tea and sipping it for a moment.

"...Your potential is even greater than my own. There exists what most people call 'supernatural powers' that are not attached to evil or the Obelisks. However, there is no simple book or scroll that can teach you how to use these abilities. It takes dedicated training and time of instruction. I can provide the part of a teacher, but you have to also do your part as a student. Further, by working at the temple as a Miko, you will hopefully be cleansed of the darkness that threatens your soul...and when that happens, quite possibly a miracle may happen...one which I couldn't see in my fire readings directly, but I could tell that it's something worth cultivating." the priestess says calmly, then looking at the floor.

"A room has been prepared for you already. The masked one informed me of the state that you would be in along with the circumstances." she says calmly, then looking at the tea again, before looking into Valdis' eyes

"All people must choose their path. Good or evil, easy or difficult, meaningless or meaningful. I will do what is in my power to bring you to your potential, but you have to make the choices to reach for it and walk that path." she says calmly, then at last takes a prolonged sip of her tea.

She leaned against her hand, thinking about it…she would agree to behave but respect was another thing all together.

”I will respect and listen to you, others I give no promise.”

She respected the priestess for her actions already. It took a lot to earn Valdis respect and the old woman’s patients did so. But the fact she promised to behave and respect the priestess was a large step in the right direction.

”You how ever have misjudged me slightly, discipline does not go against my nature if I have a goal in mind I know how to stick to it. How else would I get to where I am in my musical career if I did not? After all my father’s not really for it so it’s been done under my own power.”

A laugh escaped her lips, her doing good for the world now that was an amusing thought. She was more likely to destroy it then do any good for it. She was intrigued however to find out that the ofuda burned because of her. It got her thinking about this supernatural power stuff, and exactly how it worked. When the Ofuda burned she had been annoyed…

”Would these supernatural powers be controlled by emotions? I mean it sounds like you’re going to try and nurture what’s left of my good nature”

The thought of her nurturing anything of her good nature really didn’t seem possible. But she was willing to give it a shot. It would at least give her another aspect to add to her acting skills.

”Nazo”

She corrected the old priestess in a tone as calm as her own. She returned the priestess gaze.

”Well considering walking the bad path means the world may end, it also means that all my playthings will be gone…so I’ll be walking the path of good you have my word on that….As for the room I thank you and Nazo for providing it….I think I could sleep for a good week or so after today”
