Ginza
A shopping district, one where young teens and adults alike love to spend free time and their hard earned yen. Clothing, gadgets, jewelry, food, whatever you want, you can probably find it in Ginza. Sometimes you even find a job opportunity, and who doesn't want a fantastic career development plan?!
...If you can ignore the overwhelming sense of dread carrying out said job, anyway.
In one of the public lots, a career development tent was set up for none other than the Japanese Self-Defense Force! A moderate crowd was gathered inside, speaking to potential recruits of the perks and benefits: substantial pay, state sponsored housing, educational benefits, the promise of a prosperous career in related fields after the terms of service, it sounds like a fantastic plan for anyone whom needs a direction to go in their life!
Along the walls of the tent are several booths showing the equipment that personnel use, videos of the day to day operations, and the various uniforms that different branches use on mannequins. The most popular exhibit is a shooting simulator which operated like a realistic video game and had a certain setup to detect movement and physics. An emphasis is placed on service to the state, and not to the realities of potential combat that a soldier may find themselves in. At each table is an enlisted-man or lower ranking officer eager to answer any questions potential recruits may have.
A tall figure with slightly wild hair stands at the back of a recruiting table, and the one whom other soldiers seem to for orders and inquiries. His dress is a winter camouflage, his form beneath the uniform obvious solid. Around his neck hang a set of dog tags, his face dotted with a long scar down his face from incidents in the past. Around his waist he had a standard operations belt including a heavy caliber handgun. His expression for the most part seems bored.
Outside, a smaller news outlet was doing a brief report on the recruitment efforts, going on about how the honor to serve the nation has never been greater along with the need.
