Luna looked at the riceball, as hunger poked her upon seeing the food offered...plus the fact the crazy lady seemed to not try to force the issue of going along with her, things were finally looking up for the mau cat.

...until chaos decided to break loose.

She could sense something was wrong as soon as the trees were beginning to be marked, but she couldn't just blindly reveal her secret to all involved here. However, seeing the creature appear, she had to think fast and get her out of the way. Immediately, she clawed and bit at the hand, but not hard enough to cause blood to be drawn, and howled, to bolt off a little, hoping Amarissa decides to follow before the youma can get close.

Kousuke was moving before he entirely understood what was going on. As he ran towards the new monster and Ama he reflected that this was probably not the brightest decision that he had made today…or yesterday…or well, this was a really bad idea. He initially intended to try and tackle the, well thing before it attacked, but upon seeing the roots he pivots to his right and tackles Ama out of the way of the attack.

“Oww~ that’s a lot more painful than they make it look in the movies.” He complains half heartedly and with a nervous smile. “H-hey Ama, you should probably get going, it looks like a f-friend of mind has come by.” He says his voice quavering.

Well I’m screwed. He thinks to himself as he gets up unsteadily and moves towards the monster slowly. “I’ll catch up after this lovely lady and I have had a chat.” He says raising his arms to defend himself from whatever comes next. Kousuke’s mind began to race as he tried to think of a potential solution to his new found, and very urgent problem.

Amarissa turned to stare at Val in disbelief. Then hearing the noise behind her, whipped back around just in time to see the tree monster pop out of the ground. She froze, eyes wide, as she stared at it. She didn't even feel the bite on her hand, but the sudden cold in place of the cat's warm body caught her attention. Amarissa watched as the cat ran off a ways, looking at her like it wanted her to follow.

Before she could think to move, though, the creature attacked. She closed her eyes just as a force hit her from an unexpected direction, knocking her to the ground. Shaking her head, Amarissa looked up to find Kousuke having tackled her out of the way. "Ouch, thanks," she murmurs before nodding at his suggestion of moving. She wasn't sure he could handle the problem, but she'd only get in the way without her bow.

Getting stiffly to her feet, she steadied herself against the tree as she searched for the cat. Finding it still seemingly waiting for her, she limped off after it while feeling some what guilty for leaving her class mates and those people behind.

Valdis blinked as a tree like creature sprouted in the middle of the courtyard….wasn't this the type of thing in the news paper. …The things that killed numerous people…things that made unnatural things happen. Her eyes shifted to the blossoms then to the creature….That would explain why the tree’s blossomed. Also why was it after Amarissa; why did those things go after anything for that matter. Many questions aside…it was probably time to find a pay phone and get someone trained to handle things here.

Valdis stood up and began to …quietly make her way out of the park. Her eyes glancing over at her foolish classmate. She sighed….her father would be displeased if her class mate died and the press got a hold of the fact his daughter was involved in the scene…not to mention it would be bad for her career to. Mainly him dieing would likely be the outcome…..then again risking her own safety wasn't something she was going to rush into.

That thing was terrifying to ….wait WHY THE HECK WAS SHE STOPPING! That thing was a monster….she was a teenage girl with no fire….wait she did have pepper spray…would that work against it. Probably not but it did give her and idea. She turned around and faced the unconscious people….they could be put to use. She walked towards them and quickly began to start to pick there pockets, along with emptying purses. With a small smirk of triumph it seemed she had found what she had been looking for…Hopefully during this time the monster would avoid her and hopefully no one would get the wrong idea of what she was doing going through unconscious peoples stuff.

When Luna was able to lead Amarissa off enough to the point where she felt it was safe, out of sight of prying eyes and electronic devices, she stops and hops on a nearby water fountain, waiting for Amarissa to get close, staring her down with serious intent in her eyes...at least as serious as a cat can convey anyway.

"Listen to me...and ignore the talking cat thing for now, but your friend and the creepy girl are in life threatening danger. Neither of them can last very long against a creature such as that, but you...you might be able to do something about it.[/color] she says, as she then leaps and does a backflip, as sparkles and magical energy manifest in a small blur above Amarissa for a moment, before a locket of gold in the shape of a heart manifests. Inside the locket is a small indenture as if something were meant to be there, but is missing.

"...If my hunch is correct, you are destined to be a warrior of magic...a senshi. your energy seems to correspond with the moon, so hold that locket out and shout 'Moon Power Make Up'...before it's too late. the cat states, waiting for Amarissa.

The creature's expression remains cold as Kousuke took the attack meant for Amarissa. This one was not the one he wanted, but he decided to get engaged anyway. Reaching her arm back, the dryad swings forward again, causing the large roots to shoot forward towards Kouske. One more firm thwack would probably drive him to unconsciousness...those humans are always so soft...

Valdis' pilfering of unconscious people's belongings went unnoticed for now. In the meantime, shortly after the attack launched at Kousuke, she reaches in the general direction of Amarsisa, and swings her other arm, as more large roots burst from the ground and travel off in the direction of Amarissa, intending to flush her out of hiding as the earth, snow, and anything on them shake and tumble. Minor vibrations could be heard in the ground reflecting the force shown.

As the monster shifts its focus onto him a cold shiver runs down Kousuke’s spine. Well you played the hero idiot, figure out a solution. He tells himself as he faces down the figure.

“Well, even if the odds look bad, I suppose there’s always hope.” He laughs to himself as he watches the monster. Then he lowers his center of gravity and prepares for the inevitable follow up attack. As the root shoots out of the ground towards him, he unconsciously exhales the breath he had been holding and with a long practiced movement from basketball he rolls off to the side of the root.

Then he snatches up a rock from the ground and throws it directly at the creature’s face. “Hey I’m over here!” He shouts hoping to get the creatures attention as he lowers himself again and lets out a breath ready to evade the next attack.

Amarissa wasn't paying attention to Valdis either, but that had more to do with the TALKING CAT in front of her. She stood, wide eyed and mouth open, staring at the cat as it tried to convince her that she was some kind of moon warrior. Then a gold locket appeared out of thin air and Ris held her hands open as it gently landed. It was a pretty thing, and it felt familiar, as if it had always belonged to her.

"This is a lot to take in. There's a strange tree creature after me, and you're a talking cat, and you think I'm some kind of magic moon warrior. I just don't know. None of this should logically be possible," she shook her head slowly. But it was, and it was all happening right now. Seeing as there wasn't much time, she made her decision and the determination showed in her eyes. It couldn't hurt to try, at least.

Holding the locket up above her head with both hands, Amarissa shouted, "Moon Power Make up!!". Time seemed to stop as she was lifted slightly up off the ground, and a sort of transformation seemed to come over her. Pink ribbons sprouted from the locket to wrap around her body, and suddenly she was wearing a strange white leotard with a lavender and white skirt. A lavender bow appeared on her chest and a larger one at her lower back. The ribbons formed white knee high boots on her feet and white gloves on her hands, both with lavender trim. Her hair was pulled into two pony tails, tied with lavender bows and her bangs blew back as a gold head band appeared on her forehead, with a silver crescent moon in the center. A lavender choker appeared at her neck with that same silver moon, and earrings to match. The bow at chest had a silver moon brooch.

Amarissa's feet touched back to the ground as the transformation completed and she stared at herself in awe. "What just happened? What am I? Who am I? and how am I supposed to stop that thing?" She asked then paused and added, "and who are you?"

All's well so far, Valdis stood up…it was surprising she hadn't attracted the beast attention considering she was jingling and all. Now that she had both of the items she needed, she needed to think of the best way to strike the damn thing…. While her first instinct would be to aim for the head but she also had to take into account the thing was a plant…and best way to kill a weed was to get to the root of the problem. Seeing how the plant monster was going after the other two and conveniently forgetting about her …maybe she could get close.

Letting her classmate continue to attract the danger she crept forward as close as she would dare. Aiming for that things base she took out her pepper spray and in a quick series of movements she lit the lighter and let forth a rather large stream of fire. She would continue going until she ran out of pepper spray or got whacked away. After all this was there best chance….wasn't like some super hero was going to come save them.

"There's no time! Go!" Luna shouts at the newly awakened Moon Senshi. Moments later, the violent roots burst up around them, trying to hone in on where she was standing, but an attack that is likely easily dodged by the senshi.

Meanwhile, the youma holds her hand up as a barrier of green energy manifests around it, deflecting the rock off to the side, distracting it quite nicely for Valdis' improvised flamethrower attack, which caused the creature to release a pained roar, diverting her attention away from Kousuke for the moment, as a wooden hand reaches around Valdis throat and grasps tightly, for a moment threatening to crush her. However as the youma's eyes meet Valdis', she narrows them and then tosses Valdis away...as if communicating to her to leave.

At this point, she turns her attention back to Kouske, as roots begin to form around her right arm like a spike, her intent fairly obvious to strike the boy down in a close combat attack, but in the youma's arrogance, she walks threateningly towards him.

As the Youma it lit aflame Kousuke moves back, trying to create distance in case it goes up in flames entirely. However, much to his dismay it not only shrugs off the attack but manages to get a hand on Valdis. Seeing the hand form spikes Kousuke starts wondering if now would be a good time to run, but as does he also wonders what the creature will do to Valdis if he does.

As the creature walks towards him he slowly walks backwards in an attempt to lure it away from the park and Valdis. The road, if I can get it onto the road I should have a chance. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it’ll get run over or something. Kousuke thinks as he continues to try and lead the creature away, ready to jump away as soon as he is attacked.

“What do you want anyways?” He asks the creature, at a loss for what else to do, and partially hoping for some kind of villainous monologue.

The ground beneath the newly awakened senshi began to shake and she dove aside just as the tree monster's roots came up at her. Rolling and landing in a kneeling crouch, Amarissa watched as the creature continued to attack Kousuke and then Valdis came out of no where with an improvised flamethrower. Impressed, she smiled then frowned as it seemed to have no effect but to irritate the creature.

The cat wasn't helping anymore, and it was a little annoying to have been thrown into this and then abandoned. She said I was some kind of magic moon warrior though. So I have to have powers or a special attack or something, right? But what are they? She thought desperately to herself. They were running out of time.

Kousuke was keeping the creature sufficiently distracted from her, but Amarissa wasn't going to let him get hurt. She needed to do something. A nagging feeling began in the back of her mind, and closing her eyes, she searched for it. Finding it, she gasped as a silver and blue bow and matching quiver materialized. The bow in her hand and the quiver around her waist, with silver arrows. Words formed in her mind, as if her subconscious knew what it was doing and was trying to tell her.

Standing, Amarissa pulled an arrow and notched it. As she drew back on the string, the arrow began to glow with a pure, white light. Shouting, "Moonlight Silver Arrow!!" she let it loose, aiming for the base and roots of the tree creature. Something in her mind told her that if the arrow struck, that light would fan out. She prayed it would be enough to destroy the thing.

Well at least she managed to actually hit it….that was her only comforting thought as a wooden hand closed around her throat blocking her windpipe. All she could do was grasp the hands and glare at the creature. If looks alone could kill that glare would have done it ten times over. As there eyes met something seem to register with the Youma, and soon Valdis felt her self being flung into the air. As she hit the ground she bounced and skidded. A force ripping her jacket and pants in various areas , revealing scrapped skin.

The force of the throw wasn't enough to put out Valdis long, not moments later she pushed herself to her knees rubbing her throat. Her body was trembling….one would think it was either from fear or pain but as she turned her head you could see a large insane smile gracing her lips. Her eyes held such malice and anger it was suitable to call her queen of the night. Valdis rose to her feet, flipping her bangs out of her face. With a burst of speed and surprising agility Valdis ran and sprung into the air, leaping at the things back. Landing with her legs wrapped around the beasts shoulder and one and gripping the youmas hair, she yanked its head back to look her in the face. Her smile all the worse.

”You dare ignore me?”

As she sat upon its shoulders steam began to rise over the numerous cuts on her body as they rapidly shrunk away. The fact was completely missed by Valdis for she only had eyes for the youma. Valdis leaned her face closer to the youma’s, her other hand caressing its cheek.

”I don’t forgive such and obvious slight, you will pay for your actions dearly”

Her voice came out as a low purr….yes what she was doing was insane, life threatening, and idiotic….but Valdis lost it when she felt some one was ignoring her. During her snap she failed to notice the large flash of white coming towards her and the youma….probably for the best since the Youma most likely wouldn't see it coming either.

The dryad offers no verbal response to Kousuke, and prepares to sprint at him as three hurried steps manifest before Valdis' jumping on top of her distracts her momentarily. Due to the position she was on and the dryad's unusual anatomy compared to a human, she flailed a little trying to get Valdis off. Supernatural powers aside, having Valdis pulling an angry monkey routine was distracting.

Before the dryad could do anything else, the silver light arrow's energy caught her attention. Without Valdis' weight she could easily dodge it, but with her on the creature, the movement was awkward, as the leap away caused her to tumble in a way such that the arrow landed on the dryad's back, the heat and light energy causing substantial damage to the creature as she howled out in pain.

And the arrow would likely sear Valdis' backside and legs. Such is the peril of pulling the crazy move... plus the light would likely cause Valdis to struggle optically for a bit.

In response to the substantial damage, the dryad dove into the earth again, lurking underground while she catches her bearings, Valdis falling off as the elemental transition takes place.

Luna couldn't really say much more at the moment. Instinct had to allow the new Sailor Moon to learn how to use her powers...they were different now than she knew of from the distant past. Her eyes turned to the boy however...there was something about him too...but a male with a planetary power? Times were strange indeed...but if the potential was there...

Luna scampered through the snow while the dryad, Valdis, and Sailor Mon were in a tussle. She approached where the battered but more or less okay Kousuke was and looked at him intently for a moment. There was something within him...an affinity with the Earth itself. She wasn't sure what would happen, but if there was a latent power that could help Sailor Moon...

Fixating on his energy, she took a breath, and then backflipped near him, as sparkles and magical bubbles manifest into an object falling into his hands...looking up at him before speaking.

"I know this sounds crazy...but you have a special gift that can help defeat this foul creature. I'm sorry I don't know how this works for males, but if you look within, you should be able to use this object to change into a champion of the Earth..[/b] she says, hoping this crazy idea would work. Men and elemental power...unheard of...
