"As you wish, my princess." Calls a voice and suddenly three lights appear within the world gradually taking the form of three warriors. Soma stands his pale features and white hair creating an almost ethreal images as the singing spear rests atop his shoulders. His calm confident gazes falls upon as he takes several steps back planting the butt of his spear on the ground between the wall and the man. A barrier spreads out from the knight and grim smiles grows along his face.

"I slew 100 youma at the pass to Eris's ritual, I will protect the moon again from all that would harm this kingdom she cherished." He declares.

Lance looks around in confusion, he hadn't changed much, his jacket had become a cloak over black leather armor and instead of a spear a set of silver gauntlets seem to draw the eye. "What the hell?" He asked though as he hears Soma's speech he shakes his head.

"Must be a dream, your ego is still excruciating." He grumbles as the turns towards the man and takes a step forward.

But before he can move even a second step Oni launches itself at the enemy letting out a gut wrenching roar and with an aura that was completely that of a mad beast. Oni was larger and far more muscular than Lance himself his white eyes seems to glow as his bloodlust seems to take physical form and attack the man before the monster even reaches him.

Lanselot's first wound came from the Moon Sword. "I can never die... By any sword... But that of my forebears... This is but a temporary banishment..." Oni's charge crushed the corpse of Mordred beneath it, and there was a faint sigh of relief, the corpse fading into purple flame. Lanselot himself fell against the wall, his sword falling from his hand, and fading into metallic dust. "It seems you have bested me..." He was unafraid of Oni. "I was the last of the external taint... You now are faced with a choice..." He coughed blood, and the image faded. Peter in his youth, barely a man, no whiskers on his chin, nor hardening of his features was there. His hair was a dark brown, his eyes still that intense green, though more organic, as opposed to crystalline. "Leave now, and leave the Goddesses Touch on this soul... Or scour it clean." Oni reached him then, and yet, despite the attack... He seemed at peace, accepting death. His armour cracked, and soon there was little of him left, fading into black mist, and then burning away into azure flame.

The wall stands, the light beyond radiant, and indifferent.

As the man goes up in flames, Venus sheaths her sword. She bends on a knee and closes her eyes, saying a silent prayer for the departed. She bore no hatred toward the dead man, and his death was still an unfortunate passing. “Be at peace.” With that, she stands and looks between Enyo and Oni. She gives Enyo a sad look, “I see the old wounds still follow you then.” Looking over to Oni, she adds, “Not that I am not grateful for your help.”

She places a hand on the wall. “There are other guardians here, but I do not know where they are. In addition, I have not seen the Knight of the Moon or his current incarnation. His soul is vast, and I have been running about for awhile. The soul of our brother is trapped in the darkness. He has barricaded all his love here to be free from the all-consuming hatred around us. I’d free it if it didn’t still smell of taint and corruption here. I suppose we keep searching for the heart of it then.”

As the speeches occur and Oni destroys the boy Lance turns towards Venus with a frown. "You are not Sophia, who are you?" He asks displeased frown that seemed to hold back irritation. He seemed relatively unaffected by this place, possibly due to the fact that Lance's self image was pretty in line with what he actually was.

Soma smiles as the woman comments on his old wounds. "I have no idea what you are talking about," he says simply dismissing it with his characteristic composure. "What is going on with the little girl? My friend here will be pretty upset if your counterpart is seriously harmed." He chides.

"Shut up! Sophia is free to fight her battles, but I am not getting called here just to find out she's injured." He growls and then turns his attention to Oni who was sniffing the air trying to locate the next source of taint so he could continue the violence.

They could actually HEAR the music begin to filter into the cave. And that infuriating, piercing, warbling, laugh. “Oh this IS rich. The mad fixing the sane, and the blind fixing the sighted?” The voice carried, before the laugh continued. "Come then little ones, gather your friends, and gather your enemies, and gather your poodles for all I care! Bring as many as you like! I will still stomp you all flat. Then I will DESTROY EVERYTHING! GLORIOUS DESTRUCTION!"

It echoed from the tunnel Sophia had come through. A second passage? The feeling of taint could be sensed both behind the glass barrier, and down the passage.

Venus turns away from the wall to look at the current Eris knight. This one wasn’t much like Enyo in temperament. “No, I am not, Eris knight. I am not so young. I am lifetimes long past and dead. I am a fraction of her potential should she learn the lessons life hands to her.”

She holds a hand up to get the the past and present to stop arguing and shouting. “Our current incarnation is fine. This lifetime is very young. She has much to learn, and doesn’t know how to wield this blade nor how to take a life yet. While I am sure she will learn the meaning of battle, this fight would have been too much for her right now, but she couldn’t allow herself to lose here. So here I am,” Venus says, gesturing to herself. She smiles at the current Eris, reassuringly. “However, unlike Enyo, I have no intention of staying long. My time has past, and I have no place here. I am only here to fulfill the duty required of us as requested.”

She pauses for a second thinking as her smiles changes to a more curious look. “I don’t think you really want her to fight this battle herself, do you?”

The laughter comes through the tunnel and breaks her chain of thought. Venus frowns. “It appears that is where we go next. I hope we are almost at the end. The corruption is getting stronger now.” She takes a hurried pace through the portal, figuring the three manifestations of Eris would continue to follow her.
