Kail was having late lunch and heard his phone go off and then read the message and his blood went cold. As he read Sophia's text on attacking Libra's Lab. He had no time to set any of his plans into motion and feared if they attacked now they would be screwed. This was not an enemy to rush into and they needed back up for an attack on Libra's lab. He hoped that Sophia could hold off for at least a few days a minium of two or three days. Since he did not know the condtion of the President as he did not know if he was stable or not. Even then the time to meet some of these people and it would be slightly impossible to do it under a day or less. There was a sickening feeling that he knew who could have pushed this attack.

To:Sophia

Sophia please I beg of you do not attack Libra right now. We are very under prepared to launch something on this Psychopath. If we go in this quickly there will be a fate worse then death. Who made the recomadation for this assault!? I know that your a bit brazen, but this is something not like you to be this aggressive on the enemy. This is URGENT so txt me back!

There was a urgency with this message and it showed and hoped that she would get the message. Right now he waited on baded breath as he had never been this nervious before. Althought the moment before the Scorpio fight was a close second. None the less right now he needed time, he knew it was limited. But right now he needed it.

Sophia looks down at her texts as she waits for class. She kind of hoped it wasn’t Peter talking about explosives again. However, she can’t help but feel that she isn’t much cut out for this assaulting a base business. She blinks at the text from Kail. Well, she probably should’ve expected that from giving everyone about 4.5 hours of warning.

Kousuke plans on attacking the base. The way I see it, we either (1) go with him or (2) risk losing Kousuke and Libra. I don’t really think I could get him to wait unless there was a good reason. And as for asking Ama to talk to him, I’m doubtful that would work. Ama just found out her father was being held by Libra, so asking her to hold back will probably be difficult. The sudden appearance of Ama’s dad is what is probably fueling this idea. Meanwhile, the Moon Knight keeps asking if I want explosives. Do you want me to skip class to talk?

She's already out the door by the time that the text is sent. No harm in skipping class again.

As Kail waited he threw out his trash and got up and was going to going to have to go and leave early as he was not feeling to good. Then the text reply came up and his rage was ignited and his worse fears came up on who made it. Even she had to agree with him from that text message. He was furious and was having a hard time not letting it lose on a innocent person as he had been swallowing his fury and his inability to do anything. With a calm prosess he texts back to Sophia trying to quell his fury like coals in a fire. As he wished Valdis was still with them because he would have needed her right now. But knew he could not since she could not guide them along anymore.

That damn moron, I swear to god.....he does these thing intentionaly......goddamn I don't know what to do now. Amarissa can be reasoned with.......Kousuke is another damn story. We are freaking screwed......Yes get over here, since his actions will endanger us all and the planet he is trying to protect. You have no idea how hard it is for me to control my rage right now. I am going to give you a seprate text on my location

Kail then texted a location of a abandoned building that was close by both the collage and the high school. He then goes to the location and waits for Sophia to come. He was holding both of his fists really tightly and was trying to take deep breaths to calm himself down. But it was not working as his mind was going a thousand miles a minute. He was trying to play out how he could get everything done in four and half hours. Even the military needed a bit more time then that to get a operation like this given the ok.

Sophia walks in the opposite direction from all the other students and heads outside to the location that she was given. As soon as the cold air hits her, she wishes she went to her locker first and grabbed a coat. However, she would probably be fine. Still in a school uniform, it’s fairly obvious that is skipping if anyone saw her.

She looks at Kail, attempting to calm himself down. She leans on a wall next to him, “You probably don’t want to hear this right now, but he’s not a bad person. I think he is worried that if we don’t take action now and if we don’t do everything now, then bad things will happen. Also, I imagine both him and Ama are upset about the thing with Ama’s dad. Could you blame them? The guy is supposedly dead, and you find someone has made him into a cyborg and used them for their own purposes. However, he might be willing to hold off his charge if we set a date in the near future to do so, and explain our reasons for wanting to push it back fully. I don’t think he’s unable to be reasoned with. Just keep cool and calm when talking to him about it.”

She looks down at the ground, “I feel like things have been going poorly since the week started though.”

Kail sees Sophia coming in and lets her speak "You don't have to tell me, I was there when she saw him like that. I want to make sure that everyone comes out alive. So I mean if we are going to make a attack on a Zodiac member then lets take the time at least to do it right. rather then rushing in laughing like a nut while guns blazing. I know that letting something fester is not a wise idea and should be taken care of quickly. But again we are dealing with a psychopath that's a scientist......I'm sure he was behind a lot of the abombinations we saw in Vladis's vision " he said and could not blame Amarissa but she had a better head on her shoulders then Kousuke and least she would listen to them. Knowing that she might want justice on what happened to her father. She could go with a plan that could assure them for victory. But she was a teenager and emotions would run high, especialy with this.

"Kousuke is too hot blooded.......I don't think he would want to wait. I wonder if he even thinks about the consquences at all? Even then his passive aggressive approach to leading the group like this needs to be addressed. He does not want to work with us but yet needs us. Hell its like this, lets say we had a massive class project and Kousuke said had everything and then drops everything only having barely nothing. While he walks away with no responsibility while we have to scramble around like our lives depend on it. Do you understand what I am saying " said Kail as he leans on the wall and slides down until he is sitting on the ground.

"Your not the only one.......trust me your not the only one" Kail said again and now needed a drink and cursed under his breath. "The stress has gotten to me so badly that I am drowning myself in alcohol at times. I only drank maybe once or twice after a massive report I had to turn in at the collage. So this has not been me lately" he said to Sophia.

Sophia shrugs, “I think Kousuke thinks he’ll live through anything and can handle whatever the Covenant throws at him. I mean, he did come back to life. It’s the double-edged sword of his optimism. He’ll never despair like we will. However, he’ll never fear the worst possibility, believing it won’t come to that. It’s the nature of his alignment. Kousuke and I don’t sit in the middle, but towards an extreme. And the other half of our planet compensates. I mean… it’s weird, but I think that is how it works. I can’t say I really want him to be less optimistic. By the same logic, I would need to change things about myself.” She makes a slight laugh, “It’s funny. he told me to be less extreme.”

She squats down, and reaches a hand out to pet Kail’s head. “Yeah… I miss Valdis. I miss everyone not being so angry. I miss not losing my temper. It’s getting harder and harder for me to see the right answer. Harder and harder for me to tell the difference between our side and theirs. It’s all blurring together, but everyone seems to have such clarity… We’re the good guys. They’re the bad guys. And there is no room for in between. Our job is to erase their existence. And I just… I just can’t see things that way.” She sighs before standing up, “Sorry. I should stop bumming us out here. Take a page out of Kousuke’s book and look on the bright side. We still have some time before Kousuke wants to do his assault on the base, and the world isn’t falling apart. I swear I’m thankful for every day the world keeps spinning. Ok. Do you want us both to try talking to Kousuke?”

"That's what worries me......and we will only be encouraging more of these kinds of things. As will have to rush to his aid every time he does something stupid like this. Trust me Sophia, your not in the same extreme as Kousuke but you do have your moments. But you can be reasoned with at least. I could be maybe borderline balanced I do have my moments. But yeah, we do need to talk to him and at least change his mind slightly" said Kail as he sees Sophia pat his head and then spoke what was on her mind with the entire group. And seeing there black and white views of the enemy, it made him think on how to slove this a bit to try and lighten the views slightly and make things a bit more grey. It was hard as most of the group was affected by the covenant in some way. Either personaly or second hand, and the last one was there own personal background.

"I think the problem is, they have not met a covenant member that was not out to get them. Or saying gaahahahahaha this planted is doomed and we are taking it over you weaklings. That's why they see things black and white, and with Valdis and Lance jumping ship. It kind of solidified that generaly the covenant are evil. Plus some have been affected by the covenant like Amarissa, due to what happened to her father. For them they perhaps need action, as the saying goes, an actions can speak louder then words. Rather then someone saying that this person is not evil. I know it sounds crummy but there faith is weak to see any good in the enemy. Sorry if I turned it more of a downer. But I just wanted to get my thoughts out " he said and then gets back up and looks over at Sophia.

"Look, bring Kousuke here after school alright? Get going back to class, I'm going to take a long walk and go back to my house for a bit. Then come back here, I want to try and clear my head before talking to him" he said and cracked his neck a few times to get the kinks out of his neck.

Sophia shakes her head, “Naw. I’m the one bringing down the conversation. Just where my mind is going these days.” She smiles at him, “But thanks for listening to me, and for confiding to me about your own feelings. I feel better.” It was helpful. She used to just rant to Valdis, and was grateful that Kail was willing to listen.

Sophia nods, “I’ll see if I can get him to meet with us. Do what you need. I’ll find some excuse for being late to class.” She wasn’t sure what was harder, sneaking out or sneaking back in. “See you around 3pm or so then.”
