With that question she took a long pause and a just as long sip of her drink. It was easy to see that she had thought long an hard on this subject many times before. However, to what extent one couldn't say. It was with a heavy heart that she turned her azual gaze to It's eyes and smiled warmly, this being a polite gesture at this point in time. "I thought of taking my services to the worst parts of this world to tend to the sick and injured. However, my heart is here in Japan and I cannot leave."

She looked away to hopefully hide a frown as her hand that was not on her drink took rest on her knee. Her thoughts went to her mother and while it was in poor taste to go to her know that after she had been drinking for a little while the visitation would bring her some form of comfort. The smell of disinfectant, and knowing Ami would possible be around was a sobering effect of visiting the Hospious wing of the hospital.

Azeria's demeanor changed somewhat with that question, and she looked away from him after a somber response. It was clear that he'd hit a tender spot with his well-intentioned question. He decided not to let curiosity get the best of him, and spare her the discomfort by quickly changing the topic for her.

"But then again, both of us have plenty of time before we need to think about things like that, right? I know I'll be here for some time, myself."

Itoi wasn't certain where to take the topic next, but he knew he didn't want to linger on this topic. Gesturing to the bartender for another drink, he set his empty glass down on the bartop and smiled.

"Anyway," he continued, doing his best not to miss a beat, "How much longer will you have to study?"[/font][/font]

Deciding that it was best to be a little more intoxicated than what she would normally allow herself she finishes the last little bit of her long island and reaches for the tequila sunrise and takes a small sip of it. Licking her lips she turned back to Itoi, despite visibly having enough alcohol to curb her speech and motives she was still quick as a whip and her speech was not suffering in the slightest. With that in mind she was on her second high alcohol contented drink.

"I will be in school for the next five maybe eight years. I just graduated from nursing school and to be honest I want to spend the time pouring over the books like I used to. But, given that I was very good at studying and a natural test taker I may be out much sooner than expected. I completed nursing school a few years earlier than expected after all."

Her attention turned to him once more, as she faced Itoi a delicate lean in her graceful figure as she once more took him in. One may take this as flirting and well.. She just maybe. There was a darkness in her soul and she wanted to distract from it before she did something terrible later.

Perhaps it was flirting, indeed. There was enough of a subtle buzz in the back of Itoi's mind that he didn't doubt his perception of such an advance would be dulled a bit, and whatever remained of his mental alertness he was content to let sit on the back burner while he enjoyed his night out. He kept focus on the conversation, and couldn't help but find Azeria's skill and dedication admirable.

"Intelligence will take you a long way," he said with a smile and another sip, The academic side of a person's training can feel very dull and uninspired at times, I can confess. But it serves as preparation for a life spent doing something far more valuable and incredible."

He raised his glass up in a toasting gesture.

"So for that, you have my admiration... I wish you the best in that."

A smile filled with mirth and good cheer graced her lovely features as she lifted her glass high, bringing it against Itoi's with a gentle 'clink' noise. It was then that she took her full tequila sunrise and knocked it back, content with feeling numb that the drink would give. On a whim that was brought on by either alcohol or perhaps the idea that she thought Itoi was attractive. She reached into her bag and scrawled her number and her first name upon it before putting it in Itoi's jacket pocket.

"Call or text me if you'd like to hang out sometime, or perhaps you want to study together. Goodness knows I will need it in times to come." With that said she pulled out a few bills and placed them for the bartender, enough to pay for her drink and to tip the bartender. "I do apologize, but i do believe that my clock has struck midnight and I must go before I turn into a pumpkin."

With that said Azeria turned and walked out of the bars door. The moment she turned away from Itoi her warm inviting smile faided to a ghost of one until it was gone and replaced with a frown and an otherworldly cold gaze. This was not the same person that was there prior? Was it? Yes.. It was. Driven by some unknown force she was going to visit her mother in the hospital. While she was not keen on doing so in her present state she couldn't shake the feeling.. It was as if she felt that she needed to be there.
