As he watches her intense gaze he blinks several times and then tilts his head with a curious expression. After a moment he pushes one of the layers of his lunch over to her. "Here you go." he says and lets out a slightly embarassed chuckle. "Eating a giant lunch on my own while someone else watches makes me feel kinda nervous. You have some too." He says deciding this was the best way to deal with the situation.
Afterwards he munches some more and says. "Well not sure what to do about your coach. We could say you did a couple hundred, that'd at least be believable instead of trying to claim actually completed the task." He suggests. "Or you can just say some random guy from the basketball team started monopolizing the hoop and you didn't really have much of a choice."
Kousuke did not seem all that worried about any of this, but this was interesting and a good break from all of the doom and gloom that had infected his world recently. It was nice to talk to a relatively normal person.
