"You all go get medical attention right now" said Ashley to the group that was trying to strangle them selves. He then runs back to where Tanaka and the rest were. Ashley starts panting loudly "Tanaka we have a FUBAR problem. Matou unleashed a worm that's going to destroy all of the military systems, databases, research files and take all funds from every department. We need to find it and destroy it or everything will be over in less then an hour" he said and looked deadly serious as he was not the type to make something up. He knew aside from himself and Tanaka that they were perhaps the only ones that could stop this thing before everything went to hell.

Taika gets out of the way as the paramedics arrive, giving them room to work and transport the President away. She looks down at herself, covered in specks of blood. Taika shakes her head, “No. I can’t say I was expecting that even with how much we joked about Flamingo being evil. It makes me wonder if he is the only one in the JSDF. I mean, just how bad do you think this situation is?” It was a scary thought. A high level Covenant member worked his way to the top of ladder. How many more were there because she doubted that he was the only one.

Taika blinks at Ash as he rushes into the room and explains the situation. It takes her a few seconds to comprehend that. And then she rushes to one of the computers. “No. No. No. No,” she recites like a mantra before setting in front of a computer. “How much time do we have left? And how many people do we have to work on this? I’ll be honest. I’ve only… ummm… exploited vulnerabilities before. Not so much trying to fix them.”

As Taika hops onto a terminal and begins to enter the system, the words pop on the screen in front of her.

[ACCESS DENIED: REMOTE TERMINAL INACCESSIBLE AT THIS TIME DUE TO LIBRA PROTOCOL]

Tanaka glares, having followed the woman to the computer. His scruffy appearance contorts several times as he rapidly begins to tap his own head. He didn't flip out as much as the other two did, but this was a very serious problem.

"...He's shut off any network computers from making a difference, We have to go directly to the core if we want to do anything about this. If I know Matou, he's probably set a trap of some sort down there in Sub-Level 7." he mutters as he begins to run out the door. He looks at a pair of soldiers whom arrived to keep the situation under control and shouts at them.

"You two! With me! Matou set a trap in Sub-Level 7 in the computer terminal" he says, admittedly lying to make sure they go along with it since he had no way of knowing for sure, but there were bigger problems at hand. He runs to the stairwell, eschewing the elevator with the soldiers in tow. Naturally, Tanaka assumed the other two would follow, but whether they do remained to be seen.

Several minutes later, when Tanaka, the soldiers, and others who followed got there, A chill would go down the spines of all present. Dr. Tanaka runs down the hall, opening the room to the central computing core room where all of the JSDF networks was managed, but then has to bolt to the side when a burst of flame comes at him from within.

Two of Matou's loyalists were guarding the room. They will looked human, but the mark of Libra glows on their foreheads. Their eyes glow purple, and their lab coats were in tatters as unnatural energies would shoot out of their bodies, seemingly causing a present danger to them but their obsession with their task making it irrelevant.

The two soldiers pop around and shoot at the scientists, but they form a psychic barrier that halts the bullets in mid air before retaliating with a burst of fire that makes them bounce back out of the line of fire.

Tanaka kneels and pulls out the device, ejecting a crystal shard that was now clear and energy-less before he fumbles around looking for another fragment.

"...I need to work on this damn thing, it draws way too much of a fragment's energy per jamming use.." he grumbles as he fishes his lab coat pockets for the shard.

Ashley frowned at the amount of foresight that Libra had and that got him pissed off but at this point he turns to Tanaka. As the man was issuing orders out to the two soldiers and follows him and the soldiers. As he follows to the sub sector seven he sees the blast of fire. Ashley also sees the soldiers getting fired back from the magical barrier and takes cover with Tanaka and pulls out his shard from his pocket. "This one is rather large, so break off what you need for your device. I how does that thing work anyway....." he asked and then reaches to his side holster for his energy blade and was fiddeling with it. And pulls something else from his pocket as it was a small puch. He opens it and pulls out a nice sized sapphire crystal. "Wait........I have an idea can you link your device to my energy blade's output? I think I can power it and we will not waste this final shard. Plus I want to test a theory of mine I have been thinking about" Ashley said as he opend a port on his energy blade as it had a slot for a additional crystal and puts the sapphire in.

"Some crystals have kind of relation to the Zodiac in some cultures. Plus sometimes crystals are used for sealing or banishing evil away. Anyway......I just loaded a Sapphire into my blade as it relates to the Zodiac sign Libra " he said and got the port for its output. "If this works.....it might get rid of whatever power that Libra has granted them" he said as he hoped this idea worked.

“Yeah… of course not,” Taika says as she is denied access. She hits the keyboard, “And of course he named after himself, goddamn cocky cultist bastard!” She looks at Dr. Tanaka was his aura of calm. She wasn’t entirely sure how he managed to stay composed.

She follows Tanaka and the soldiers down to Sub-Level 7. She is wary, keeping an eye on her surroundings and remembering each exit. Always know how to flee a situation. When they get to the computer terminal, her eyes grow wide at the site of the Covenant guards. She jerks Tanaka backwards by the arm from the flames.

She raises an eyebrow at Ash as he pulls out a crystal, “Have you been carrying those with you everywhere? And not that I’m complaining, but I got fully patted down this morning to meet the President, how the hell did you get a weapon past them?!” She looks between Tanaka and Ash as they discuss how to break through the psychic barrier. “Can you hurry up before they decide to blast more fire? Less talk, more action.”

As Ashley presents a shard to him, Tanaka chuckles slightly at the question of how does it work. "In the easiest way to describe it, it's basically a speaker: the crystal's odd flavor of energy is drawn into a system and emitted through the output mechanism. It takes time to accumulate to an effect though and I'm sure it can be improved. I am not an engineer, but a biologist." he states as he snaps off a small amount of the brittle crystal and then struggles to cram it into the intake.

"I also have to shape the stupid things...another thing to work on.." he mutters as he stops after a moment when he thinks it's ready. When Ashley mentions something about gemstones and the Zodiac, he shrugs.

"It's a theory we can test if we capture them alive, but as Taika suggested we probably don't have time to try to figure out how to interface my little gadget with however that sword works." he mentions as he looks to the guards. One attempts to lob a flash-bang into the room, but a bolt of fire comes as soon as he puts his arm in the line of sight, destroying and disarming the grenade and inflicting serious burns on the soldier as he retches back and staggers against the wall, the other soldier helping him to calm down and stabilize in spite of the agonizing pain.

"Vicious little bastards..." Tanaka mutters as he looks at Ashley. "Well you will have at least 3 seconds but no longer than seven to make a move. Use them wisely." Tanaka says as he looks at the younger, battle-hungry scientist. "But do me a favor and don't die, I need you in the labs to make this disaster right." he says.

When Ashley gave the signal, Tanaka would activate the jammer, which would cause the two rats inside to writhe in loud, audible pain briefly, breaking their concentration from any supernatural abilities they may have.

"Alright, sorry about that.....still its impressive that you made that. And for you Taika eh they thought it was just a scientific instrument of some sort when they patted me down. Anyway I'm am not going to " said Ashley as he gets the energy saber back into its normal postion and then collapses it so it would go into his holster. He then shrugs off his lab coat and was dressed in some in easy to move slacks and a long sleeve shirt. There was another holster that held his side arm a rather big hand cannon of a gun. Ashley then started to run really fast as he kept himself in really good shape. "OK NOW" he yelled and the device went off and double timed it at the two at the door. As they wraithed in pain, Ashley takes out his gun and pistol whips the one on the right to knock him out. The other he swiftly backhand's the other to the neck to knock him out as well. If they were depowered they would have had a normal lab rat build and would be rather weak compared to himself.

Normaly he would have shot the men dead but, having them alive would give them a lot info on Libra and the covenant. Even then find out the real reasoning on why they turned there backs to humanity."Tanaka,Taika lets hury I don't know how much time we have left" he yelled over to the two of them as he was rather worried if they would be able to stop Libra's virus from destroying everyone.

Taika half listens to Dr. Tanaka’s explanation and half anxiously looks at her former boss’ minions. She bites her lower lip as Dr. Tanaka struggles the crystal and the intake. Thankfully, he manages to get in the device.

“Three to seven seconds…” Taika repeats. Why was everything so down to the wire and life and death? When did her life become an action movie? Complete with gunfire, grenades, and high tech weaponry.

She blinks, watching Ash get into action. Someone hadn’t always been in the labs and definitely had more than basic training. She runs over as he tells her and Dr. Tanaka to move. “Alright, my turn,” she says, getting to the terminal and getting to work.

The two followers of Matou are quickly incapacitated during the jamming period. The soldier whom isn't wounded follows suit and begins to secure the two men by restraining their limbs and backing off with his rifle trained on them in case they awaken and try to use more paranormal abilities.

Tanaka rushes in behind Taika and goes to a terminal quickly near Taika. Between the two of them, they manage to root out the worm and the virus, though with admittedly Taika doing a larger share of the hacking than Tanaka did. After the files are deleted, both terminals are then taken over by a video of Libra's face. He smirks darkly as those in the room would stare in shock.

"If you are viewing this, then you have successfully contained the Libra Worm. Rest assured, the worm was but a distraction: even with all the resources in the world available to you, you cannot possibly stop me at this point.

I am here to let you know that in case you track me to my facility, and decide it's a brilliant idea to bomb it, I have a number of captives within it whom would delightfully be blown into kibble while I merely escape from the bottom layer. Further, you may want to prepare your northern border for the end draws nigh and the time to wipe the stain of inferior mortals is upon us. Iroji and Sanata would of course fail to hold this room: they were always weak even with my gift. They lacked the will to take mastery of it and only could utilize that which hung the lowest for them to grasp.

I suggest you make your peace with whatever false entities you believe in, you're out of time."

With that, the video of Libra fades, the man laughing sadistically as the recording shuts off.

Ashley frowns when he gets in and sees Tanaka and Taika rush in and start working there magic on slaying the worm. In awe of how skilled they were in electronics as there fingers flew over the keyboard. A victory at least until Libra's face showed up trolling them and he was pissed off. But at the same time though the multiprong attack did work to his advantage on getting away. Ashley sighed and then frowned greatly though and did get worried about his sister and would call her after things settled down. But the threat that Libra gave though was serious and did not doubt that he would escape if they did that. "I need a goddamn drink after hours" he said and sighed while looking at the two. And went to collect his lab coat and puts it back on while coming back into the room.

"So Director, whats the next move now? Report to the general" he asked since that seemed like the logical reason after they rushed over to the mainframe. Ashley did think about the worm that Libra unleashed on them. He wondered if they could return the present back to the sender at a later date. Since it would be only fare to use something that he left behind.

Taika smiles to herself at her success. Even Libra’s face doesn’t ruin it. “Yeah, yeah… you are just a sore loser,” she says to the screen. “The man’s never given us enough credit…” In all of her work history, he had done nothing but belittle her and everyone else’s accomplishments. Why would he stop now after revealing to be Zodiac?

She frowns as he says he has a bunch of hostages. “Of course, you do.” She starts to look through the computer to see if Libra left any other information behind. Anything useful. When Ash says he needs a drink, she nods, “Yeah. I’m with you on that one.”

While Taika was looking through the system for anything useful, she finds an encrypted path through the system to a heavily protected server. The worm originated from a drive so heavily encrypted that it lacks a known precedent or comparison. About half of the code from the Libra virus can be salvaged and rewritten or re-purposed by an adequately skilled programmer.

When Tanaka is asked about what to do next, he tilts his glasses and glares at the screen where Libra's face was just posted.

"...You two get some rest. I'll deal with the paperwork and the administrative work with Masuou. Tomorrow we begin cleaning up the mess that the ex-boss left for us and working to make up for eight years of lost progress." he says grimly, far less jovial than the other two had seen him before.

"If you two think of any research paths that might be worthwhile for anti-Covenant interests, nothing is off the table..." he says, glancing at the two rats on the floor. "Even they can be used if there is an adequate reason to." he says darkly, a newly revealed contempt for the Covenant making itself more evident.

With that, Tanaka explains to the soldier the method to securing them which involved a gag and limb and hand restraints that would debatable called inhumane but excessive for the purpose of protecting the other staff and personnel. Afterward he begins to leave to go about his duties unless either of the two stop him.
