Kousuke looks at the groups irritation with a frown. Well he hadn't really expected much support from his speech but he'd had to try something. He takes a slice of pizza and begins to eat it, and asks several of the naysayers. "So what are we gaining by being dower and caustic?" He asks with genuine wonder. He didn't deny that the situation was serious, but if the group tore itself apart because everyone was an ass it wouldn't help the situation.

As he prepared to speak again though Valdis stepped up and showed them the Vision. He watched it with a frown and a very unhappy expression. It was horrible, definitely horrible, but it was also too horrible. While it certainly felt realer than the dreams that haunted his sleep, it was too drastic a change, he couldn't reconcile it with his present world, not like seeing himself killing his companions and enjoying it, which came to him several night a week now. He finishes the pizza as the vision continues and when it finally ends he reaches down and tosses Valdis a chocolate bar.

He was about to complain, but it seemed that many of those around him were hit harder than he was by the illusion. He walks over to Amarissa and reaches down to help her up. "Hey what's with that face like we already lost?" He a reassuring smile. He looks at Valdis with a dry expression and lets out a sigh, well there wasn't much of a point in trying to break the ice in this meeting anymore. Maybe the team thing really wouldn't work out...well not like he wasn't used to it, he'd bear the weight along if he had to.

"Well then Valdis, any suggestions on how to delay this thing? We could go knock it down, or I could talk to my dad he's one of the leading experts on it, and we've got a buncha junk from it and other magical ruins in my basement." He admits out of nowhere.

She watched as one by one they dropped like flies due to the weight of the vision they had all just shared. The weight of knowledge was hard to bare….she knew it well and for that she did not just but looked on upon them with a patient gaze. Her attention was pulled away as it would seem she has just broken the Moon Knight. Her brow arched up as he went into full nut mode and then went over and snuggled the newly named Kaguya. She returned to watch everyone’s reactions carefully…she nodded a thanks when Sophia brought her a chocolate bar and scarfed it down. Then conveniently caught the next one that was thrown at her. A ghost of a smile twitched upon her lip, while she enjoyed the next one a bit more slowly. She nodded yet another thanks and turned her attention back to everyone.

”The weight of the vision bears down on all of us…I urge you to look now around you; you will find the ones who you can turn to when the pressure is on…when all is lost the ones to fallow are the ones who keep moving forward. When you decide who to fallow…I suggest you keep those qualities in mind.”

Valdis thought about how to answer the next couple of questions…all dealing on the obelisk.

”The obelisks were brought about via a large spell that had taken years’ worth of harvested energy to bring about. They are used to magnify chaotic energy, which is why more and more people were able to access abilities to use it. It also made it so the energy harvested would be more than tripled…They are rock….however it was rock brought about by chaotic energy….considered it tainted earth and unfortunately with chaos energy it has some nasty backlashes whenever used. For example the obelisks being more chaotic energy that amplified the masses chaotic energy, also took on a nasty backlash which plunged this word into this endless winter.”

She looked over at David knowing it really wasn’t much of an answer but it was more then what they had previously.

”The obelisks are being used to collect harvested energy as well, when full….well you saw what happened…Now it has taken years to get to this point. Taking down Sapparo’s obelisk will give you all another year or so to march on the citadel…I have no easy or quick plan for the march however you will have japans help when the time comes. The Obelisk itself is surrounded by a force field, those who have attempted to infiltrate have been killed on the spot so our knowledge is limited. Now understand all the youma you will be facing have their power magnified greatly by the obelisk. A class I youma becomes a class III…and they swarm the obelisk”

Valdis scratched her chin thought; she had not been expecting to be asked for her opinion…she usually just gave what she felt was needed at the time. However she was interested to hear that Kousukes Dad was a leading expert.

”If your able to find out more, please do my sources our limited. However I can tell you the Japanese science department…well two …or three….have worked on devices that will give the military a greater hit against the covenant then they had previously had…Find and speak to them and you may be able to work out something to at least mess with the force field surrounding by the obelisk, but before more knowledge is gained I cannot give a suggestion that I think would even be useful….I suggested to my father that the senshi go under the force field…but then again I do not know how far it goes. Someone would need to investigate.”

Amarissa shook her head, trying to clear the horrifying visions and allowed Kousuke to help her up. She gave him a weak smile then surprise crosses her face as he tells them about his dad's work. "I didn't know that's what he was working on. We should definitely talk to him then, see what information he might have that we could use against this," she said, wandering over to find her own chocolate bar. She munched and listened as Valdis gave them what little she could about the obelisks, which wasn't much to go on.

"I agree that taking down the obelisk is probably our best option, but we need more information. It sounds like we'd be quickly overwhelmed unless we manage to take down the the force field. I don't think simply going around it will be enough, or even possible. Testing it would almost be a suicide mission and we need to assume that the Zodiac, or whatever created them, were smart enough to prevent people simply from going under," she reasoned.

Killian now standing up and was feeling as if he had a very bad hangover after drinking too much. He went over and found some thing to eat and found a cold soda and found a place to sit down. "Maybe we should split for two groups on the information gathering. I'm aiming to talk with the JSDF Scientists and maybe afterwards, talk with the Americans. Someone else goes to speak with Kousuke's father. Then maybe work on a plan from there. More then likely we will have to use some technology......I remember the spook we met had a device that could shield people from well magical attacks" said Kail as he viewed most of the people there and broke a small piece of beefjery and gave it to Aiko as a snack.

Kail then looks over at David "David, I would like you to come with me on those meetings. You have a lot more experience with modern warfare then me. You might be able to ask better questions then perhaps I can. I don't who else would want to come with me on this" he said and did not know if he were over stepping on people. They needed more information that was for sure, since they all had limited information. Although something did come to mind "Val, to the best of your knowlage. If we defeat another Zodiac member. Would that give use a bit more breathing room like a few more months. Or would that not matter at all for whatever there planning to do. Or that Virgo has someone to replace that person in advance" it was something that most of the others did not bring up.

It was a tad boneheaded but if they took out at least a few more heads. There command structure might crumble apart and give them a lot more time. That's if they were able to act swiftly enough to do this.

Sophia looks up from the fire and at Peter as he attempts to soothe Kaguya. As far as she could tell, there wasn’t much in common between Kaguya and Beryl. However, she didn’t know either well. As for what triggered that response, she is clueless. Did they look similar or was it something else?

David’s question causes her to come back to the conversation. “I can’t say I know much about them. I mean, before the Covenant attacks, some people got kind of obsessed with them, and those people ended up joining them. However, that’s all I know.”

Sophia watches the banter for a bit between possible plans. Well, they kind of had a vote. This made her a leader, didn’t it? She had to come to some kind of decision. She shakes her head at Kail’s suggestion of targeting Zodiac. “I think killing a Zodiac will speed up things rather than slow them down. They will feel the need to move more quickly if more disappear. I mean, if it did slow their plans down, I doubt we would be having this discussion since we only defeated Scorpio a short time ago.”

She tries to move the discussion back toward the destruction of the Obelisks. “I suppose attacking the Obelisks is the first order of business then, so that we can buy time. After that, then we can deal with remaining Zodiac. I agree with Ama that they probably won’t let us waltz in. Kou, if you can find an object that can let us go in undetected, I think that would be helpful.”

“I agree with Kail about breaking into groups, but have different opinions on how we should separate and spend our time. One will be information gathering about the Obelisks. They will get information from the militaries on the nature of the obelisks and find ways to scout the area. Whatever. David, this seems more like your expertise, so would you be able to choose a few people to come with you? A second group will facilitate a conversation between the JSDF, the American military, and the senshi. I don’t think the two militaries have as good a relationship as the need to in order to effectively protect the city. Essentially, we need everyone to be honest about their capabilities and flaws as well as drag everyone to the table. Kail, you and I’ve spoken to both of them, so it would be good if they had some faces that they could recognize. I don’t mind having others come along, but keep in mind, our alliances with them are newly formed, so we can’t afford to mess that up in any way. Playing diplomacy and politics is a must. A third group should should possibly search for ways to improve our capabilities. Kou says he might be able to find an artifact that can help us. We all just came into our powers, and we don’t have a large number of tricks. Finding new ways to get us ready for whatever happens next would be very helpful. Also, it means that it stays out of Covenant hands. Does that work for everyone? Does anyone have any suggestions? What would people like to get involved in?”

Peter's grip on her was protective. But as she called him a Knight he chuckled. “They matter not Beryl... I am your sage. I loved you for as long as I served Chaos. She held me to her side using you as bait...” His eyes seemed to see something else entirely. But then in that moment, when she touched him, the vision faded. Peter went shock stiff, seeing pink hair.

“Where is she?” His voice demanded an answer. He slowly extracted himself from Kaguya, and his eyes were as narrow was pinpricks. “This can not be the work of...” He turned, staring Sophia down. “No, she would not be stupid enough to invoke that fire...” His hands shook, violently. “No. Nononono...” His fingertips traced his face. “It has progressed that far? Cognition is being interfered with. Mind is being tampered with. Nothing can be trusted. Senses being deceived...” He backed further away, hand going in his coat.

“No wonder my walls broke. Under mental assault even now. Only explanation.” His hand dipped into his coat, before he threw something down. There was an explosion of noise and light, before the hiss of smoke and acrid reek of chemicals filled the doorway. The sound of Peter going out a window was heard. Once he landed in a roll, it would be a few seconds at best before he was in his car, and taking off like a bat out of hell.

Listening to Kail, then to Sophia's suggestions, David sighed, looking back and forth between the two. While Venus did want him to take the lead on HUMINT and SIGINT, it wasn't going to be so easy. He would be the first to admit he didn't know all the players, or their motivations.

Of course, even PFC's knew something, and making a person talk... well... that's what Yinkos do best!

Now he just needed everyone to agree with where he went, and what he did... or rather, just to turn him loose.

"Sophia, Kail, if you are serious... I need a rundown of the key players in the science divisions." He blinked at Kail, then again to Sophia, checking their reactions. They were serious? They wanted him to do this? To gather intelligence? "I can get the information out of them... one way or another." He paused, his eyes tracking coldly between the knight and his princess. "Just no getting squeamish. If you want me to do this, you have to be certain. There are no restrictions, no rules, just, me, the targets, and what I can get out of them?"

If that was the game, he didn't necessarily know who he wanted to work with, but he knew who he didn't.

"Mercury is out on this one... as is anyone else who has a... shall we say... going concern for my faith in humanity?"
