The 'Zulu Squad', an experienced band whom had transferred to the Japanese base in relatively recent times, would receive top priority orders from command to arrive at the compound only known to most of the American personnel as the 'Eagle's Nest'. Eagle's Nest guards are known to be secretive and quiet when dealing with the others stationed on the compound. The Eagle's Nest was strictly off limits to anyone not authorized with harsh penalties for violators.
Today, Zulu Squad would join the esteemed list of the few who knew of the Eagle's Nest and what it's purpose was. In the morning heavily armed guards in full combat dress would escort each individual soldier to an armored vehicle, which then joined a convoy of other vehicles to proceed past the steel gates at the perimeter of the Eagle's Nest compound. Manned turrets would line the high walls around the compound, the types designed for anti-armor and anti-air capability. Sharpshooters also had their distinctive rifles poised and ready as if expecting enemy traffic at any time.
The way up through the gates led through a winding, snake-like corridor. The high walls continued, and more men armed with various weaponry were posted along the top. This was a classic killing corridor: any intruders who came in from the front would be mercilessly gunned down from above in a practically inescapable situation.
At the top of the hill would be another checkpoint where several armed inspectors took a thorough look of the surroundings, the vehicles, and the squads contained wherein. After the checkpoint, the area would open into a courtyard where numerous squads patrolled, more turrets were along the walls, and a few machines of unknown purpose stationed throughout. Large satellite dishes would hint at some kind of communications purpose within.
Perhaps most impressive was the high number of combat exoskeleton equipped soldiers were stationed here. For years the US Government had been developing the individual soldier combat exoskeleton, a need multiplied many fold by the Covenant War. There were even multiple 'Heavy-Exos' which looked like a goliath, mechanized human with the soldier barely visible among the human shaped armor. These units were armed with a mixture of gatling guns and something that looked like a rail-gun.
At the entrance to the compound, they would be met by Colonel Torres, one of the higher ranking officers at the Tokyo Base. The clean cut, veteran soldier had a hard look on his face in full officer dress as the Zulu Squad would make their way to the front entrance. With a nod to the squad's leader, he speaks.
"Good Morning. I believe it goes without saying that your group is sworn to secrecy to what is within this compound and the missions you will henceforth receive. Your unit was selected because you are both highly experienced and adept at adapting to paranormal enemies. You will not receive your orders from me, but I will show you to who will." he says, then turning to the armed soldiers posted at the doors. With a nod, they turn to keypads and quickly enter in a fifteen digit code. The sound of a buzz and mechanical movement would draw the gate open as Colonel Torres would enter with the others in tow.
The interior of the building had several checkpoints which looked almost like bunkers with metal reinforced concrete to provide cover and heavy weapons stored behind the walls should a Zulu happen to be observant enough. After two checkpoints were passed, Colonel Torres pauses outside a pair of double doors with...you guessed it, armed guards posted outside.
"Zulu Squad is here to receive their directives, per the request of Alpha Eagle." Colonel Torres says. One operator radios in for confirmation, and a few moments later the final authorization was given.
The two guards would open the doors, revealing a large room connected to no less than fifty monitors and computer equipment strewn throughout the place. Several operators were monitoring numerous battle fronts in America along with the security cameras of the Eagle's Nest. At the center of it, a man with brown hair and wearing a remarkably plain camo uniform would be looking at several documents. When the man looks up, they would recognize him instantly: President Castor.
The location of the President had been a highly guarded secret due to the rapid attack and destruction of Washington D.C. Many believed he was dead, as his family was confirmed killed during the savage attack. The look of a worn, exhausted man would paint his once handsome features but he put on a politician's smile, standing up to greet the Zulu Team.
"Good Morning Zulu Squad. I've asked you here toady because among those stationed at the US Tokyo Base, you're recommended to be the best of the best with regards to small numbers Covenant entity battles." he says as he walks to a large monitor, making a hand gesture at which point an operator puts up numerous images of girls in short skirts of various colors, men armed with various weapons or magical powers, and Covenant entities. The strange people seemed to be defeating the entities with much greater ease than a heavily armed soldier as the various clips would play. Strangely, the faces of the children seemed to be obscured somehow and unable to be clearly made out.
"We've recently become aware of a group of young people within Tokyo who are somehow able to use their own power and defeat covenant monsters. This same group has a rather impressive feat to their name..." he says queuing up the next clip which shows a large number of these people fighting against a monstrously powerful entity, ultimately defeating him with a blinding flash of light.
"They successfully killed Scorpio, a Covenant Zodiac level enemy. Subsequent to his defeat, worldwide covenant forces lost a noticeable amount of strength and we were able to push them back away from civilian locations at home. I spoke with a young lady who claimed to know them, and based off what was expressed that day it appears that they would welcome support in the greater war effort. Since to this point a Zodiac class enemy has been unkillable and they did so without the loss of civilian life, I wish to proceed with some arrangement with this group. They have asked to meet at a location outside the base, which is where you come in." he says, pulling up a remote, deserted part of the city. A warehouse would sit covered in ice and snow with a fairly open field nearby from an empty lot. More buildings are not too far away.
"Since the Japanese Government has to this point treated them as hostile, discretion must be kept to maintain relations with our hosts. I need you to contact their representatives in the field and be my ears and eyes. We will stay in radio contact and Agent Fields of the CIA will accompany you." he says, turning to face the Zulu Squad with a warm smile.
"Of course, I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. I realize that this is a very unusual situation and I need my best of the best to go in as well informed as possible. I know I'm more a politician first so I may be overlooking something." he says with a small chuckle making fun of himself. It was one of his more admirable traits that he could use humor and humility to his advantage.

| Vivian "Loli" Nagato, callsign Zulu Six, was asleep when her squad leader received a top priority order to report on the mysterious "Eagle's Nest". The place was a damn enigma when it came to who knew about it and what it did, and kids would tell ghost stories back in Recruit training. Hell, most citizens don't know it exists, so the call to be at pretty much the Mt. Olympus of the United States Military is pretty urgent.
Violet hair was mixed with other colors as Vivian's team was having breakfast before sunrise. This was normal, but they were in the later stages of the morning ritual due to the time given that the Nest men would escort them. Just as they got done with chores, the fully armored guards came along and whisked them away. The Nest was tight; you'd think the place was under lockdown if it was anywhere else. There was a killing floor and everything. Hell, they had the Exoskeletons she'd only seen very briefly back in Florida. To Vivian, she feared she couldn't get out if anything went wrong.
The squad was briefed about the classification and secrecy involving the Nest by a high-ranking official (Colonel, as Straight would clarify later on), and also the reason Zulu Squad was chosen. They moved on into more and more security before authorization was required and briskly given to access a very important room. Her team looked hard and solid, but after years of knowing them, Vivian could tell they were nervous. Birdie twitched his lip, and Cards was very close to wringing his hands. Even the hardass China twitched a bit.
Then the President greeted them. First off, it was amazing he was even alive, given what happened to D.C. Second, he looked like absolute shit. The man was probably fucked over, not just by politics, by the sheer moral burden he has. She knew as a soldier this was hard, but... damn.
Focusing on the monitors, she spotted schoolgirl outfits flying about and wrecking Covenant like it was a Tuesday shopping spree for them. The president explained that they have supernatural powers, and are apparently containing the Covenant very strongly. Vivian stared at the recordings of these people. Water, metal, hell, sometimes it looked like the boys were controlling emotions. The cherry on top was that they apparently destroyed a Zodiac, also known as 'yeah, you're so fucking dead dude, that thing is a reusable nuke that breathes'. Hell...
And they wanted Zulu to go meet them? Japanese relations be damned, she was downright scared of the need to do POLITICS with, for all intents and purposes, superheroes. All she was good at in that department was to sit down and look pretty, Mafioso and Uniform normally took care of that business.
The thought of these people actually existing spun Vivian's mind. The fact they had a largely available power and ability that was possibly on the side of humanity was, quite simply, a very important topic. Did we stand a better chance against Covenant now? Would these people even associate with worldwide military operations, much less the American military? They were certainly powerful enough to be neutral and possibly push back any operations that may rise against them from either side, so the relations that may come up may not be as black-and-white as it had been previously. Hell, she didn't even care to try and justify this with science and logic as she always did, she was still trying to wrap her head around the fact they beat a Zodiac.
Questions arose, and the first came from the squad leader, Tony "Mafioso" Cologne. "Sir, what can we assume of these individuals? Are they neutral, or do they lean towards our side sufficiently to work with us long-term?" CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE | V I V I A N

Castor nods at the question from "Mafioso" and takes a moment to think of the best way to word the answer. He turns to the screen and looks at the individuals in questions once before back at the Zulu Squad.
"As I understand it, they are teenagers mostly and doing what they feel is the right thing, as cliche as it sounds. They realize that they could very well be the key to ending this conflict once and for all and are looking for support on that front. I would assume that they are looking into a long-term arrangement at least to such a point that the Covenant is defeated." he says with a small shrug.
"Of course while I like to believe that they have the best of intentions it's prudent to play it safe. They are still an unknown til now factor and quite powerful in their own right. They could become our greatest ally or a new menace."

| "Sir, yes sir." Mafioso replied, saluting before returning to a neutral stance. It was a fairly normal question. China, ever the prudent one, also asked a question. Unfortunately (or fortunately, due to her profession), she was also very paranoid and had a distinct need for knowledge of any factors she was going to work with. "Sir, in case of combat, be it in alliance with our forces or against our forces, what powers do we know that they have?"
More questions appeared from other members, all formal and strategic in nature. Vivian herself didn't ask a question, given that both she and her teammates both knew that she was more of a hands-on type of person. All that planning goes to briefing and the captain, which she obeyed and did accordingly. If there was a need to improvise or act where orders weren't possible during the operation, then the team would consult her. THAT was her specialty, not the initial planning.
Finally, the president's Q&A ended. The violette stood straight as ever, waiting for the response from Mr. Castor. She was still stunned by 'the president is alive' and trying to run 'there are people with superpowers' in her head, so she had been quiet the entire time, even where she would normally consult somebody like Straight, who was at her right, or China, on her left, very discreetly on their opinion or something. Today was just about listening. Listening and remembering and thinking, nothing that really involved talking, you know? Just shut your mouth and roll with it, because shit's crazy enough as it is.
Going with this somewhat forward mindset, Vivian was effectively pushing aside any shocks on that day in favor of memorizing the briefing of the operation time and details. Her posture, stone cold as it was before, was starting to show more control over her feelings, as seen by the way that her joints seemed to not be welded by ice, and how the hands behind her back gave a tiny squeeze on themselves for a split second instead of being frozen in time. Vivian begun to relax and not focus on the life-changing revelations, and more on the here and now. However close here and now may be from the revelations and how effective it was is up to debate at a later time. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE | V I V I A N

The remainder of the time would be filled answering the questions to the best of abilities. The question regarding the abilities of the individuals would go into a fairly broad overview of the known powers which ranged from emotional influence, to energy shields, to all around elemental attacks.
During the session, as Vivian would observe the images and footage, a strange nagging would fill her mind. A sense of odd familiarity, as if she perhaps had seen this sort of thing before. Even the oddly blurred faces seemed to at least partially clear up for her.
The session would run it's full course, and when the discussion seemed to meet it's natural end the President politely concluded the meeting with a few parting words.
"It's been a pleasure to meet you all. Your questions and responses only prove to me your recommendation for this mission was well founded. I know that it's all a lot to take in, but I firmly believe that if these young people can continue to show such promise, then we might be able to turn this whole thing around and it's our duty both to ourselves and the world to do everything in our power to end this menace."
When the group left, Colonel Torres would lead them to the entrance of the compound, handing Mafioso a dossier of the basics of the mission. The older man would look at the squad with the standard stone faced expression senior military personnel tended to have as he spoke.
"As we all know, the Japanese are skittish and formally we aren't allowed to operate within the city of Tokyo proper, so you will be going into the field strictly with concealable weapons and equipment. We also don't want to spook our potential allies with a heavy handed presence of intimidation. A spec ops team will be on standby in a vehicle if a situation arises. Agent Fields will handle the primary contact, but you will all be linked in to a line with the President, myself, and other senior officers. In the best case scenario, this meeting will be uneventful and some of you will think it's a waste of time. The precaution is that these individuals seem to attract the various undercover Covenant operatives in the city to them and I wouldn't expect them to back off suddenly just because one of our agents is there." the Colonel says with a steely gaze.
At this point, any final questions would be asked and answered and the team would be dismissed until the mission began.
At 2100, the stage is set. Normal, civilian vehicles would arrive to provide basic transportation to the warehouse site. The drivers each took separate routes, causing the Zulu Squad to separate and take more roundabout ways to the location so as to look less conspicuous to the Japanese Police. The drivers each had no remarkable features and were in every way ordinary other than the sidearm they had at their sides able to be quickly shoved under their seats should a MP try to pull them over.
The scene Zulu Squad would arrive at is one of the warehouses near the meeting site. Agent Fields, a slightly heavyweight man wearing a black suit with a trench coat over it all and an earpiece in head taps his foot leaning against the building. He seemed antsy, perhaps the thought of meeting magical superheroes was a bit much for the agent.
"...Evening." the spook says nonchalantly to the Zulu members when most of them had arrived. He looks out to the field where they were supposed to meet the superheroes near a building. "So we wait here til girls in short skirts and or boys with bladed toys arrive. Just another day in good ol 'Merica yeah?" he says glancing out looking for signs of the contacts.
"I've got a bad feelin'. President seems to be puttin' too much faith in kids he doens't know." Agent Fields states, openly admitting his doubts. At least Freedom of Speech was being exercised.

| 2100 hours. As it was, along with the civilian rides, they also had to wear civilian clothing. They were all in their normal wear, with Vivian donning a winter coat and normal clothes instead of her usual quirky schoolgirl uniform. Lessen the amount of suspicious activity and all. They were just a big group of friends, checking out some random warehouse to see if it's haunted, as far as the Japanese forces should have to know. They all wore layered clothes; it made sense, given the temperature there. Underneath the various coats were bulletproof vests and handguns, as well as other utility items that could be hidden under the bulky wear. Most of the team didn't expect much conflict, but there was always that need for a last resort if it comes up.
The ride was somewhat bumpy, if Vivian were to be honest. The lesser-taken path to dodge Japanese eyes could probably have been the reason for that, but she couldn't help noting it down as a distinctive trait in the road to the superheroes. Another trait she noted was this nagging feeling in her head. She felt like she knew these people somehow, even though she'd never heard of them until how many hours ago. God, it was... nostalgia? Melancholy? But it was so strange, she just GOT to Japan, let along have any idea that there was shit like that in the world. It ate away at her a bit before the car stopped in front of the rendezvous point, in which she just focused at the task at hand like always.
As it was, Agent Fields was a large man, but there wasn't any harm in there. He was a also a very casual man, but he did have his doubts and fears about the superpowered individuals they were about to meet. Again, no harm in there, it just shows he's human. A few nodded at his sentence of disagreement with the president, China, Backseat, Straight. Vivian, herself, didn't care much if they helped or not, she was just going to do her job and get it out of they way, like every other day.
"I wonder how useful this would be," Birdie was saying to her in the car. "Not them for us, but us for them. Why would they need us when they've taken down a Zodiac?" That question also pounded on her brain for a split second as Fields spoke. Official approval? Alignment to a nation? Hell, betrayal? The whole damn thing was confusing, and there were too many factors to consider when dealing with this. Vivian just closed her eyes for four seconds to relax herself before opening them and going with the flow.
Eh? Footsteps and other noises echoed. Someone was coming now. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE | V I V I A N

21:00 hours. Or 9pm for anyone who wasn’t into military time. It was probably going to be a late night for a school night. Sophia already skipped one day, so she probably should go the next day even if she was tired from a long meeting. She wasn’t a big fan of the location though. Warehouses were pretty sketchy. She stops some distance from the place to transform. Now, she was definitely a senshi.
She waits in the cold outside the warehouse for Kail to join her, so they could go inside. She wasn’t entirely ok with going into the place alone. It looked spooky enough on the outside without the idea of meeting a ton of armed individuals.
She tries to hype herself up. If she could come away with the meeting with Prime Minister Adoji Ito with a promise of future cooperation, this would be a piece of cake. They were the ones that reached out to her after all.
However, she is still fidgety. She braids her much longer hair, so she has something to do with her hands while she waits. She doesn’t even like her hair braided. She really just needed to relax. It was the setting really. Why couldn’t they meet somewhere nicer?

Kail got the message and rubbed his eyes a bit, as he was still trying to adjust himself. But knew the show had to go on and time did march on. He stopped way out of the area where the warehouse was, the redhead would have liked to have Yinko to back them up. Although if he had to protect Sophia his fury armor would have to do. Or perhaps try the one thing that could stop everyone cold. None the less he transformed and hurried on to find Sophia and which he did. "Lets get this done with.....your not the only one that looks on edge" he said as the Mars Knight saw Sophia looking a bit nervious. As the place looked like a good trap set up.
"Lead the way, since there more or less going to expect you. If something happens I'll use my fury armor and try and shield you" he said not knowing what to expect with this meeting. Unlike before, they were now dealing with a President that had people with guns and had set the location up for them to walk into. It just did not feel right and kept looking around at places where they could snipe from.

"Our Saviors have arrived." Agent Fields says glancing at his glorious bottom where Venus Senshi and Mars Knight came into view. He looks at the Zulu Squad with a small chuckle. "Time to see what happens next, should be interesting." he says looking into the warehouse and seeing only two came. The Agent could tell the two kids were tense, and were much more likely to be so due a large squad coming behind. He looks at Mafioso, the leader.
"Let's not bring the whole party in. Pick two more and come in." Agent Fields requests though it almost sounded like an order despite a lack of jurisdiction. Hopefully it wouldn't blow up in the large man's face.
Entering the building with however many Zulu Squad decide to come in anyway, the Agent looks at the pair of heroes with his hands in his pockets. As he spoke, he recited clear Japanese though the American accent was horridly obvious.
"Good Evening! As I'm sure you're aware, we're here to discuss the prospects of cooperation between your group and the American Government with the goal of eliminating the Covenant presence from the world once and for all. We're impressed with what we've seen so far and would like to aid any way we can to the greater effort. Surely you realize that a larger organization can be beneficial, it's not likely all the world' enemies will come to Japan yes?" Agent Fields says. His tone of voice indicated friendly but business-like. He was starting off with a safer, broad statement and judging the reactions of the superheroes before getting to more specific things.

| The team didn't exactly trust the Agent's estimate of just two of them, so the leader made the decision. "Right, we're taking four." Mafioso ordered. "Myself, Straight, Wand, and Uniform. Wand and Uni are best for diplomacy and gaining trust, Straight for laying down facts. Everyone else on standby near the windows." the men and woman went in with Agent Fields, with the remaining members staying near any openings that they could use. Vivian climbed on a lidded dumpster nearby and crouched on it, with a hand in her coat pocket and a finger on the Beretta M9's trigger in her coat pocket as her golden eyes observed subtly through frosted glass. The window was somewhat high, so the area that her body was visible was only from her eyes up. Enough to see, and she could always jump.
Most of the conversation was heard through the microphones that were on the Zulu inside, relayed into their headsets. Wait... we're aiding them? I thought they were aiding- diplomat, she reminded herself. Gain loyalty and trust through very subliminal wordplay. Additionally, his tone was pretty calming, and she should expect no less from a public relations agent from the CIA. Fields knew what he was doing, and he was talking just fine. Though, Loli had to note, his accent sucked more than a $10 hooker with a vacuum cleaner in a black hole.
China, who was standing next to her, didn't have her headset on. "Shit, mine's offline. What'd they say, Loli?" She asked as she activated her audio at once. Vivian rolled her eyes at the mistake, but still kept eagle vision on the conversation, especially on the kids. "Fields is kissing their ass and trying to get trust. He's doing a good job of it, but his accent is fucking stupid, know what I mean?" She snarked vulgarly, nose sneering for the slightest moment as she kept her eyes on the prized. China gave a smirk and gave a single amused shake of her head. Mandarin always sounded hilarious when Americans tried to talk, so she related to that. Meanwhile, Birdie and Backseat, the other Japanese men in their team who were on the opposite side of the building as them, were stifling their laughs over the frequency.

Well, so far it was nice to have someone interested in talking to them for a change. “Thank you reaching out to us and agreeing to meet with us,” Sophia says in Japanese with the dialect common to Eastern Japan. It occurs to her that they should switch languages when the representative speaks a cringe-worthy accent. She could hardly make out what he was saying at some points. She switches seamlessly to English with her native American accent, saying, “We can speak in English if you prefer. Both of us are equally fluent in both languages, and I have no particular preference. I can also speak a few others if you like.”
She smiles and extends a hand. She continues speaking in English, “You can call me Sailor Venus. My friend here is Exia. We do understand how helpful cooperation with the United States government would be, particularly as we do believe that we will need to go there at some point. I do believe we can improve our chances for success by coordinating ourselves. However, I can’t imagine you aren’t without questions, so I would be happy to answer any that you may have. I may not have explanations for all of them, but I will try to answer to the best of my ability.”

Kail watched as Sophia did the talking for the most part, but something did not sit well with him at all. Now he knew that they were now in a trap situation that was slowly closing in on them. As the man talked with a viper's tounge. Trying to put them into a false sense of security and either force there cooperation or some other kind of plot. The redhead was not buying it at all, he written things better then this in some of his stories. He gives a look to Sophia to be on guard as something was not right."Call of yer hounds.....Or talks will end. I will not put her in danger, I don't want a trigger happy fool to get antsy. And accidently put a cap in her head. Even then your words are empty....stop the BS will you" said Kail as he now stepped a bit closer to Sophia while having his hand grasped at his sword.
"I already feel movement around...not that I can sense anything around. But since we just walked in your demeanor slightly changed when you spoke. I sure as heck know we need the help from a lot of people. But something here is off and I don't like it, I know that you would need some help from us. But I feel another alterior motive" he said and was very alert right now. Kail was not in the mood to get ambushed and was glaring at the agent and was not too thrilled with this. "Be plain with yer words....You have three chances or we leave" he said. With Ito, there was no threat at all except for Valdis.
But dealing with the United States though and this guy, they came in armed. And unlike Valdis, they could put a bullet through there heads. Several times over with lethal force. Which was something Kail did not like at all. He knew that he was perhaps screwing things up, like he did with Ito. But should he be silent and let something bad happen? No he had to voice himself, as he did not trust this man on blind faith. He was trying to do his duty to make sure Sophia was safe. If not and she got massively hurt. He did not want to think what the others would say. Or fear what Valdis and possibly what David could do to him.

As Agent Fields spoke, he could feel the judgment of his associates around him as his accent. It wasn't the first time he took a lot of shit for his accent: Japanese wasn't the best language of Agent Fields. Even if he couldn't hear precisely what was said, the sound of chuckles over the radio comm accidentally broadcast didn't escape his notice.
Naturally, he was grateful to find that the pair spoke English.
"Very well then, Sailor Venus, a pleasure to meet you. I am Agent Fields of the Central Intelligence Agency." he says, having a warm smile at the courtesy. He reached out to shake her hand, but paused upon seeing Exia's displeasure. Of course, it wasn't long before the male companion faced him with a touch of hostility.
"Oh calm yourself Exia, no need to assume the worst. If we were trying to coerce or kill you don't you think we would have opened fire or something? We all want the same thing. My friends are from one of the most disciplined and professional squads acting under executive order. Your lives are perfectly safe, at least as long as ours are as well. You have to understand we are taking precautions. My best case scenario is these guys go home without a single shot fired making fun of my horrible accent and thinking this was a waste of their time to come out with the spook." he says with a small laugh. Making fun of himself was a technique he used quite well to disarm tension in other situations.
"We are aware of increasing Covenant activity within the city, and unfortunately we lack the capabilities to defeat them as easily as you do, so we have to offset it with guns and skill. The squad accompanying me is here in the event that the Covenant senses this meeting as a security measure." he says further attempting to quell the Mars Knight's temper.
"In fact, it was a contact of yours that reached out to us, and frankly the United States is eager to secure an arrangement that leads to a resolution of the war. When your lot killed Scorpio, the Covenant Zodiac entity, Covenant forces worldwide were weakened and we were able to secure a lot of our footholds more strongly. This in turn has increased added security for the soldiers and civilians who are less fortunate than to live here in the relative safety. For that, we are grateful.
In fact, we believe that if we can assist you in taking down more Covenant leaders, then the forces may grow weaker and weaker. It is actually ironic that the mightiest of the Covenant could also be the weak point in their entire organization. Of course, there will eventually be a need to take the battle to the Citadel in the central US, and that will require a coordinated effort of all surviving Military Forces in the United States along with your group to have a chance of success. As capable as you may be, their forces still number in the thousands if not millions and you would likely be overwhelmed by force of numbers alone." Agent Fields says pointing out a sobering fact.
"If you want an ulterior motive, then here it is. I want to go back home in Quantico. I'm certain that every citizen of the United States wants to reclaim their former homes and rebuild our nation. So would Japan with Sapporo, or any of the other nations worldwide. We recognize that if we do nothing then we will slowly be whittled down and exterminated. That is why we are so receptive to the idea of cooperation. It is the first time we've had a legitimate hope of victory in forever. Our boys and girls at home fight their hardest but deep down inside they know it's a losing battle of attrition. It is pride and duty that keep them going even in the face of hell itself." he says somberly before smiling softly.
"We both need each other to bring about an end to the battle. Without you we and the rest of humanity will be wiped out over time. Without us, your group will at best be able to fend off local threats within the city until the Covenant decides to stage an all out assault on Japan. That is all there is to it." he says. "We are prepared to share our knowledge with you as well. There is cause for concern within Japan as much as anywhere else."

Of course the white mau came.
Sophia running off in the middle of the night to meet a foreign government on the Covenant's matters, it was a cause of concern for the white mau! He insisted that he came and even if Sophia had decided against it he would sneak out and trail her. White cat on white snow equated to cold yet effective camouflage.
Naturally, they would be out at a remote warehouse. The white mau internally bemoaned the cliche. He had seen something on a movie that was being played at the Torres household and being an innocent cat he watched unnoticed with the others in the family.
However, something alarmed Artemis. Latent planetary energy! One of the foreigners hosted an energy he had yet to feel...a petite violette woman among the outside crew. He was about to approach to make his introduction when one of her comrades came to talk to her.
Think Artemis, think!
After several moments of panicked thought, he had an idea come to mind. He would hop on a dumpster that has been full for a very long time. Ignoring the smell, he managed to pull out a bottle and with substantial effort manages to launch it out of the dumpster with a loud glass crashing sound.
Perhaps this would draw the Violette over...if he was lucky.

| The redheaded man quickly spotted the team, and Mafioso was about to call them all in. However, his movement slowed for a second as Fields decided to play more blunt politics, and work to the favor of the superheroes. Still, it was needed to show physical trust. As the CIA agent did his assigned work, Zulu's captain spoke into the frequency very quietly. "All units, enter the building. No hard feelings, just getting their trust. Do NOT fire, do NOT provoke them. Just... act natural. Make jokes."
Meanwhile outside, the sound of glass breaking alerted China and Loli. Their fingers on the triggers almost instinctively, both of them looked over the dumpsters. China got the first look at the feline that grabbed both of their attention. "...Just a cat." She supplied, relaxing her tension. Loli got a glimpse of white fur and tail and exhaled. If it was some hero who decided to flank them, then the talks would have ended extremely badly. Then, Mafioso's orders came in suddenly, and Vivian was called to duty. She took one last look when all of them received the message to get inside and play cool. Walking in, Backseat and Birdie joined them as Zulu team reassembled once more.
The quartet of Asian descent just started snickering and nudging each other's sides with their elbows when they got a look at the bad-accented American. This wasn't a ploy to look good, either; the friends were genuinely amused at him. Though, in that act of casualness, that familiar feeling of memory started rising in the petite woman again, this time more powerful than before. Old friends? Rivals? She tried to laugh it off with her still-joking friends, but on the inside, she was as baffled as ever. Again, she didn't know who the hell these people were, so why did she KNOW them?
Vivian stared out the window to her previous station while the conversations went along, tuning out politics. Something also had that lurking feeling. Was it the cat? It seemed suspiciously white for somewhere like this, so it couldn't be wild. A person's cat, is it lost? Maybe it was an unconscious feeling of pity for the lost thing in that case. Or... the same? This is strange, all very strange. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE | V I V I A N
