Kail had dreaded the day that he came to the dojo to see Inaba and felt like total shit that stuff had compiled on top of him. He reaches the dojo and feels a somber atsomphere and walked in "Is Inaba-san in.....I owe him a apology for missing him" he asks one of the instructors. One of them turns and looks at Kail with a sad look on his face and stops what he was doing and walks over to the red head.

"I am sorry to inform you....but Inaba-san was killed last week" the instructor said and Kail's expression on his face went a paler shade of grey.

"Wha.....what.....no...no.....no...no" as the look of disbelief was on Kail's face as this could not have happened. His hole body felt limp and was just using sheer will not to crumple over. "How was he killed......" he spoke trying to keep a steady voice. But most would see that it was wavering.

"We don't know, he was killed at his property.....he might have been killed by a wild animal" the man said and looked at Kail feeling really really bad for him.

"I see.....thank you...I will go and try and prey that his soul finds peace. Excuse me...I need to go" said Kail as he left to see what had happened. And left the dojo and got into his car and drove like a bat out of hell. Under the legal speed limit and driving condtions and was able to get to Inaba's cabin.


Once there Kail gets out and goes to his trunk and gets his katana out and slowly approaches the cabin. As he did the feelings of regret and guilt were eating at him. Once he makes the final steps he sees the damage and was horrified as it was damage signifgantly. It was not done by wild animals nor human hands but other worldly. Which led him to the fact that the covenant had attacked this man. Anger, rage, guilt, sadness, and total despair consumed him. Kail screamed in rage and in sorrow "GOD DAMN IT O HELL WHY DID THIS HAPPEN TO A GOOD MAN LIKE THIS. WHY DAMN IT WHY, HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COVENANT" he yelled and drew his katana and struck a tree. He continued to hit it and hit it and hit it as his anguish was released.

As he was striking tears rolled down his face in streams, in the first time in his life he failed someone greatly. Since Inaba had saw some kind of promise within him for far greater talents with a blade. But due to things that happened in his personal life he forgot to come. As that failure came to him many others came to him or what he perceived as such. One with the entire team as he failed to make good on anything on planning for battle or any kind for that matter and fell on to Valdis. He then cursed that he was smart and at times brilliant but failed to bring any of that forward. Or to help the group in general and felt that he was causing more trouble for the team.

He also saw that his skill with a blade was no longer there and failed to keep his word as a swordsman to another one. Out of rage he threw the sword and it impaled its self into the ground. Kail then crumpled to the ground perhaps crying for the first time in several years like this. "I...have..no right to call myself a swordsman or even a hero. I....I....am unworthy to hold a blade....or even call that man a teach or even be a knight.....he said and drew his legs closer to his body. He felt alone to a heavy extent as no one really knew the pain he was in. As he always tried to not show it, as he had to show a strong face to everyone around him.

"Well you aren't worthy to hold a blade if you disrespect it like that...baka." a female voice would say once Killian's initial outburst was over. When he looked up, he would see a woman with green hair, sharp blue eyes, and a petite form obscured by the snow jacket, snow pants, and black winter boots she wore. Her hair was in a ponytail while her skin was fair but without any sort of makeup or jewelry anywhere. Her gloves were fingerless, one hand loosely gripping the hilt of a long katana that was attached to a belt at her waist.

"I guess you're the one that my grandfather said saw he saw a unique potential in...nobody else would come out the city like that." she says, her voice soft and yet fierce at the same time. She taps her fingers along the hilt of her blade as she peered around the damage.

"Grandfather should have known better than to come out here...but he wouldn't be himself if he wasn't overconfident and pretending to be fifty years younger than he really was, he definitely was the definition of the crazy old man." she says with a soft smile. A smile of memory of a better time, of someone who was strong enough not to give in to easy grief and to rather contemplate the good parts of the life.

Killian was silent when the green haired female spoke up and then brought his head down in thought. He was still emotional and was having a hard time to think of something to say. Every time he tried to get something together in his mind something slaps him hard in his mind. ".....I kept him waiting on the day that he asked me to come here to learn. But other things in my life got me caught up and it was until today I found out about his death. I never had a chance to apologize to him" he said and sounded pretty disheartend. "Then I am having other compounding issues that are eating me up. To the point that why did I pick up a blade in the first place. Then failing others that put there trust in me. How the hell do you deal with that? Suck it up and try and ignor it...all it does is just comeback to haunt you times worse" he then sighed and it was rare even for him to be this depressed.

He had for the most part kept perhaps the strongest face out of the group on not crumbling apart. But he was now and really could not find solice in anything. He could not really confied in the senshi as they had there own can of worms to deal with. Most of the other knights not so much as they had personalities that were far from him. Then with Valdis he had to keep his distance due to what she said after the harbor battle and then dealing with the President a few days ago. His adopted parents could not really do much to help in this situation. For the most part he felt alienated from the team. Perhaps he was not as mature as the others as he first thought or thinking in general. What was his perpose was or even anyone that could understand him. This caused him more anger and confusion.

"If you want to call me a coward or a wimp then go on ahead" he said looking over at the woman.

"One leaf blowing away in the wind should never cause the others to wither and die." the woman says with a slight chuckle, closing her eyes. She had a distinct maturity about her that made it easy to believe she wouldn't easily ridicule or make fun of others while also expecting them to be mature in return. Her fingers graze the old shack as she looked at the building, trying to get a feel for it.

"Grandfather would always say that, especially once my father died during the invasion on Sapporo. Grandfather and him stood between the evil possessed people to allow others to escape, using both blade and wit to outsmart many times their own number. Unfortunately, my father got wounded by one of their spells and he was not able to survive. That day I cried, but my grandfather told me those words and explained that sometimes the world would take as needed for others to thrive. That I had to be stronger for the memory of the one who died." she says going off on a tangent.

"He made his decision to come, to stay, and to go out the way he did. If I knew him any better, he almost would prefer to go out in a blaze of glory than cold and freezing in his bed somewhere." she says with a small sigh when Killian went into the emo momen at the end.

"A coward would avoid this place, and a wimp is the kind of person my grandfather wanted to always make into real men." the woman says as she shrugs a little. "Life can be difficult, but you try to see the good in things and not just the bad like I think you seem to be stuck in right now. Surely some things have gone right for you recently as well."

Kail silently lets everything sink in before speaking to the girl. He was stuck or did not know where to go and was lost. He thought in places where he could use his mind to get over things, would help him. It blew up in his face. Then with him trying to fight that blew up in his face. Just nothing really was going right and it was weighing on him. He then hears what the girl said about her grandfather as well as her own father. Kail knew that he was a soldier in some kind of way. "That's....more then likely he would do that. Just from that moment I met him" he said and stared out into the distance before turning to the green haired female. "Overall not lately.....the faith in myself has been shattered. I have been now questioning and doubting my mind, my skills, and my self confidence. So I thought that being in the adult world I could handle the things coming at me on my own. Even though I have friends, I doubt that they could understand someone older then them having a crisis like this. I have to have the older brother act to try and keep everything together" he said and still looked lost.

"What your seeing right now is not really my full self" said Kail and then pulls out his transformation item and just looks at it. This item was far from something that could change the world. His boastful claims that he could change the world. Had came back and smacked him one hundred fold, this was perhaps his own innocence killed off. Just what good did he do, yeah he saved a lot of lives from Scorpio's massive attack. Why didn't that make him feel good? What were the other good things he did? Nothing came to his mind at all.

The girl listened, not interrupting while Killian explained where he was, how he felt, and his own confusions. She takes a thoughtful look as her ears pick up on everything that is put to her. Her fingers graze the edge of the hilt of her blade as a mindful thinking gesture, like how some people clean their glasses or do some other kind of twitchy hand business.

"I think you're just realizing that you can't do everything yourself, that you aren't an ominpotent, invincible deity that everyone believes they are until their early twenties and reality starts to hit home." she says softly with an amused chuckle.

"But I can sense that there is more to you than just the normal growing pains." she says, seeing Kail pull a strange object out, looking at it. As Kail seemed lost in thought, the girl withdraws her own blade from the sheath, revealing a simple but elegant katana with a slightly curved edge, sharp enough for real combat.

"Grandfather said many times that the blade that tries to cut everything from the greatest feat to the smallest thing becomes dullest the fastest. In other words, you've been dulling your own spiritual blade by trying to handle everything alone and the same way. Consider this...your friends each have their own skills and abilities. I imagine you are very close to them and you tend to do things together since you say you have to be a big brother. Well if one of them is better at something then don't stress yourself to surpass that otherwise you will but more burden on yourself than you can handle, losing your soul in the process and bringing yourself to a dullness that is ineffective in anything." she says as she spins the sword in her hand once.

"The sharpest edge has the purest purpose. What is it that weighs you down so much exactly? What do you consider your strengths and your weaknesses? What exaclty IS your 'full self'"?"

Kail still was thinking and was still listiening to the girl as she spoke. What kind of answer could he give her at all. He knew that he was not invinceable person in some aspects, but at the same time had to be a unshakable pillar for the group. Since he and David were the only knights that were, day in and day out with the senshi almost in every battle so far. What did he bring to the table for the group. He failed several times to try and make a plan as there was no set up. Or someone had to run in and start the chaos of battle without a plan. Half of there battles almost had no strategy. He failed at even trying to win over things with the president. Just where were his strengths? At this point his bigist weakness was himself and the dark illusion that Scorpio had used on him was coming back haunting him. Kail could almost hear the laughter again in his ears.

Shaking his head trying to keep the inner demons away from him. How could he give her answer when he did not really have one. Perhaps the best one is to tell it honestly and truthfuly to her "I doubt I can give an answer to that question. When I don't know how to answer it as I am still searching. The main weight as stupid as it sounds is the fate of the world" said Kail and at this point he was not really caring about some consquences right now. It seemed life just wanted to kick his ass thoroughly till he was a mess. "Some superhero I'm turning into" he said sarcasticly.

The girl observed the indecision and the silence that Kail seemed to be having right now. The facial expressions conveyed bits and pieces of what he had in his mind. Of course she lacked mind reading powers or any sort to fully decipher what she was saying. Of course, when he made his few comments to her, she smiled just slightly.

"Oh...don't tell me you're one of those vigilantes that have been in the city lately? It comes on the news every so often when the government doesn't fully clean up or whatever. The old man was a little tight lipped on why he wanted to train this apprentice so much." she says with a slight chuckle. She was half-joking, but she wouldn't have disbelieved it if it were true.

The wooded area begins to tremble and shake. The sound of trees crashing and falling over would ring through the area as a deafening roar fills the air.

The girl frowns and looks in the general direction of the noise. She raises her second hand to grasp the weapon in a combat stance as she waits.

"Well...here comes the entertainment." she says with no fear and total confidence in her voice. A few moments later, a large, muscular yeti-like youma appears with several scars and burn marks on it's body. Kail might feel the faintest trace of Mars energy from it if he was particularly observant with his mind's eye. It's maw opens as a visible swirl of frost begins to gather, seconds later launching out into a wide spray of snow, hail, and frost energy.

The girl waits for the energy, making no motion to act until it just about is upon her.

"Zan!" she shouts as she swings her blade to meet the mass, a spiritual whirlwind pushing back the breath attack. The kanji symbols that were in her blade have a faint glow to them as she pushes against the frost breath, holding it off for a time but locked in with it with no clear sign of fully overcoming it.

As Kail was going to speak about it, the thundering noise of a youma coming at them got his mind off of what he was feeling. The redhead gets up and sees the yeti like creature and sees the burns on the creature. Then the Mars mars energy feeling off of it. His eyes turn to slits and he had not seen Yuki in several days and a flame of fury burned through him. "......No more of this bullshit" said Kail as he grasped his pen. "MARS ARMOR UP" he called out and transformed into his alter ego. A silent apology was given to his blade and picks it up in one hand. In the other draws his mars blade and goes into the fight. "CINDER CROSS FLARE" he roared and swung both of his blades in a X like slash. Sending out two blade beams to the Zan attack that the girl unleashed on the youma. Wanting to combine attack his attack with hers.

To break the lock and send the creature back, Kail knew that this girl was not going to run from this fight. Since she was equaly as battle crazy as her grandfather.

The abrupt transformation caused the girl's concentration to falter momentarily, but she kept focused on the task at hand, the icy blast pushing back her defense momentarily before the Mars Knight's attack joined her own defense and repelled the frosty blast entirely along with causing a wave of fire to sear over the Yeti.

The yeti, burned and angry, smashes it's chest and charges at Kail, whom was detected to be the greater threat due to his powerful magical presence. A moving mountain lunges at him, rolling up into a bar intending to smash the Mars Knight.

The girl, hopping back and taking a moment to assess the situation decides to allow the more armored knight fend the yeti for a moment. She reaches into her jacket and pulls out a slip of paper that Kail may recognize as an ofuda.

"Rin, Pyou, Tou, Sha, Kai..." she starts, preparing the invocation. But lacking senshi power or anything of the sort, it would take her a moment's meditation to prepare the exorcism.

Kail just looked annoyed at the fact that the yeti like youma had went with the gag of rolling into a ball. To try and crush him flat like a cartoon character. He was still angry and just pissed off that he had to deal with something like this. He knew at least this thing would have crappy turning to try and flatten him. So the flame swordsman waited as it got closer to him and then side stepped and slashed at the yeti with both of flaming katana blades. He did not want to underestimate this thing as it could have had primal intelligence. But seeing that it had been injured by Sailor Mars earlier and then himself and the girl. It would have been very enraged and be blinded by that as it attacked the two of them.

When Kail side steps the Yeti, the girl shouts "Evil Spirits Begone!" and throws the Ofuda at it. This causes the Yeti to be paralyzed by the spiritual slip and thus wide open to Kail's attack, as the two blades of the Mars Knight meet flesh. The creature howls deafeningly once, as flame energy overtakes it's body. The creature stumbles and staggers flailing as a ball of fire before it dissolves into purified ash on the ground several minutes later. The process would look particularly painful, such that the final purification and dissolve to ash would look like an act of mercy.

When the threat is handled, the girl chuckles a little as she sheathes her sword and then stares at the pile of ash on the ground. "Huh...Hino-sama's tricks worked pretty well this time." she says as if this were a casual, commonplace happening. "That wasn't so bad...I think."

Kail silently sheaths his Mars Blade and then powers down in a red flash of fire as he then gets his original katana and puts it into his sheath. He looks over and was surprised at what the girl could do with that amount of spiritual power. "That's rather impressive" he said trying to let the rush of battle get out of his system. He still was still just as confused as he was when coming up here. Although his attentions were on the girl. "During all of this I did not get your name. I'm Kail" he said introducing himself to the girl. Since he never got around to asking it before the fight as they had been ambushed by the youma. "

"Kylia Inaba." she says once she is asked for her name. She exhales a little as she looks at her hand and then at the pile of ash. She walks over and taps it a couple of times before saying a small prayer to purify the ash. No visible or obviously supernatural effect occurs. Such is the way of rituals at times.

"Grandfather always said I had a strong spiritual power...so when I was younger he had me stuck at one of the Shinto Shrines as a miko...long term my interests grew more to swordswomanship among other things and the Priestess and I didn't quite see eye to eye, but she taught me how to us my spiritual ability to defend myself since the world was going south then." she says with a small shrug. "Grandfather taught me a few things but he pushed me to build my own technique with the spiritual technique...it's been an interesting process." she says with a slight chuckle.

"So you're a hero huh...what's it like exactly?" Kylia asks casually. Regardless of the response, Kylia grins just slightly her eyes narrowing to the point of having an almost evil expression.

"Why don't we spar sometimes? I'm sure you could use somebody who can handle and somewhat understand what you can do, and I wouldn't mind having the extra exercise."

Kail was silent but knew that he could not keep going like this at all. But yet he still felt down, no he had to have a better resolve. There would be a time of moarning later once this war was over with. "Was that Priestess named Rei Hino, by chance" he said while hearing her explanation on how she had these skills. Although when it came to the hero part that got him silent real quick "Its not galmorious job....far from it, your life is on the line with several billion peoples lives at stake. Not knowing if your going to live and come out it alive. You get no thanks for what you do, only fear that your just like the enemy that your fighting. But yet.....you have this power to change the fate of so many others, perhaps even the world. A hope for a better tomorrow and perhaps see people smiling rather then cowering in fear" he said being as truthful as he could be on his opinions.

The thought of sparing sounded perhaps a good idea, he did not have anyone in the team that shared a similar style or weapon that he used. "Alright, I will take you up on your offer. I can't keep going like this Kylia" he said to the green haired swordswoman. IF he did not get stronger then the covenant would just roll over him.
