After getting nudged in the gut by her friend, Kaori starts laughing nervously. “No. Sorry. Lights shining in my eye. Not a big fan in the lightening in this place actually.” Looking at Kail but with her attention on Valdis in her peripheral vision, she asks, “You’re certainly dressed sharp, Lancaster-sama. So who are you attending the dance with?” She almost expects to her the name that she doesn’t want to hear until Valdis shouts for her husband. Her head spins around as she says “What” a little loudly. Shaking her head, she chooses to ignore whatever Valdis has going on with the white haired male. That wasn’t the important part of this evening.  Turning to Kaguya she smiles widely, "Kaori.  Sorry.  Rin-chan is a little shy.  So what school do you come from?  What classes are you taking?  Join any clubs?"

Sophia nods to the other two girls who seemed more interested in Kail than her. “It’s nice to meet you two.”

She blinks at the compliment that was partially an insult. She’s not entirely sure how to take it. Blank canvas? Did she look that bad? “I wouldn’t be opposed, I guess,” she says, quietly. “Excuse me. I think I’m going to go see how David is doing. He’s looking fairly glum in the corner,” she says, exiting the situation.

She walks over and leans against the wall next to him. She follows his eyes to the girl with glasses. That was evidence of a change for him. Smiling, she asks, “So what prize did you pick? You don’t look that excited for someone who just won a raffle though. Why don’t you just ask her to dance or whatever event that you picked out?”

Kail hears Sophia speaking to the trio of girls and got a reaction from Mitsuki. At the start of it sound like friendly girl talk. Although the last part sounded a tad mean, but the red head brushed it off as a unintentional slip of the tounge. "I tend to forget about some customs here within Japan" he said as it was still clear that some people could not drop some formalities. It was still something he had to get use to even though, Kail had lived in the country for several years already. He was about to go into something else until Valdis came slinking over to sink her coils into him. Trying to get a rise out of people and he had to roll his eyes at this antic. Although to his surprise heard Valdis call out for her hubbie and then looked over. He raised an eyebrow at Nazo's appearance and heard Kaguya speak up to clear things up.

"Huh whities seem to be the odd ones" he said and then turned to the trio of girls as Valdis ran off to her real boyfriend. Then Kaori's question came out of no where and was not too sure how to answer that question. "I really did not come with anyone, I just needed to get out of the house I guess. I have not had the time for dating anyone really" it was the truth since now due to being a knight it just got crushed under everything else that he had to do. Now he felt down and wanted something to drown his sorrows in.

Valdis just smiled slyly as one by one the shocked and astonished faces turned their attention to the fine piece of man meat. She chuckled when Kaguya attempted to translate and shrugged.

”The answer to that could be yes and no, I’ve done more stuff with Kail here then Nazo. However Nazo and I are more compatible in the terms of a relationship goes…”

She smiled as Nazo detached himself from whatever conversation he was having and approached her. A sly smile spread across her face as he made a show of asking her to dance. She placed her hand into his and fluttered her eyelashes.

”Good sir I accept your most flattering proposal”

She waved good bye to the others, she hadn't spent time with Nazo in a while.

As the little gathering breaks up, Lance considers heading off on his own but then he notices David and walks over. "Who are you?" he asks him simply. "You don't look like a student here, are you a new teacher?" He asks an air of aggression an menace emanating from him.

Amarissa backed out of the strange group of girls as they obsessed over Killian, shaking her head. She threw him a glance of pity before going to find Kousuke. Though she ended up doing a double take as Nazo made his appearance. Of course, she'd never seen the knight without his strange armor and yet there was something unmistakable about him that bore no question as to his identity. She acknowledged him with a half curtsy, leaving him to join Valdis.

She hands Kousuke a glass of the punch, having grabbed them both one on her way over. "Sorry about that, now what were you saying before? Something you wanted to show me?," she asked, a slight blush rising at the memory of his compliment from moments ago. "You look quite nice yourself, by the way. Except, you still haven't told me why you're injured?" she continued, moving to sit beside him.

Kousuke looks at the various groups of his counterparts with a grin. Awww~ the complications of life, he wondered briefly what they all actually thought about this stuff when all the chips were down, but then he decided he didn't really need to know. As Amarissa hand him a glass of punch he downs it and with a satisfied sigh says. "Well I guess that reply is my cue." He says as he kisses her and then takes her hand to lead her away from the dance.

"Sorry, but I think this kinda takes priority." he admits with a sheepish smile that quickly turns more serious. "Though I can't guaruntee it'll be a happy surprise it's an important one. Regardless I promise you a date to remember at some point in the coming week in exchange for our early exit."

And Kousuke leads her off to a family reunion.

"Most excellent, my most beautiful beloved." he says, knowing Valdis milked the marriage theme and joke that she had been known to throw around on occasion. At least enough to make the mini-cult think and raise their brow about the whole thing. One might feel bad for Killian since he now had no defense against the ravenous fan club.

Nazo was sure he could handle it.

As he pulls Valdis out onto the dance floor, he sweeps one arm around his waste as he smirks, looking into her eyes. He begins to lead her about in a dance as he speaks.

"Ah fair maiden of the lavender stone, thy eyes art like amethysts ever luminescent in the light of perfection." he says as he spins Valdis around, clearly just letting loose and enjoying the time with his 'wife'.

David turned, clenching the redeemable concert tickets in his hand. Slowly, he pried his fingers loose. Turning to see his counterpart, the blue haze faded from his eyes, returning to gray. "Everyone talks like it's so easy... just walk up there... tell the girl that you got involved in a shootout or the random Yinko hijinks you like her... and Mr. Belding will show up to add some light comedy."

Okay, maybe the sarcasm was a bit much.

"I'm sorry, Sophia," David sighed, pocketing the tickets, and leaning against the wall. "Maybe... maybe I will just walk up and be plain about it." Slowly, he started to advance, eying Setsumi as he cut through the growing crowd.

Sophia looks over to Lance, who was interrogating David. “I guess I didn’t get a chance to introduce you two back at the beach party. David, Lance. Lance, David. I’m also in David’s history class.”

David’s sarcasm doesn’t really stick, and she waits patiently for him to calm down. She hadn’t really found another way to get him to chill, but he did eventually get there himself. “It’s ok, but I think you’re the one complicating the matter. Honestly, I don’t see why this one thing has be as complex as the rest of our lives. And I’ll ask about the shootout later, but that’s not for tonight.”

She smiles, watching him walk off. “I think he just needs push in the direction of happiness, occasionally,” she says to Lance, “So how are you doing? I didn’t expect you to show up to a thing like this.”

Valdis giggled as he spun her around, he certainly was laying on the charm thick and was most certainly being extremely corny.

” So sweet cheeks what ever happened to its too dangerous for me to take off my armor? Especially my mask. The tropical dome trip would have been so much more interesting if you could have gone into the water. However I do like seeing you like this.”

She smiled and allowed her gaze to travel around the room. She noticed lance approach David….only for him to run off a few moments later with his gaze locked on Setsumi. Valdis sighed and shook her head.

”That boy is getting the creepy stalker label…. I almost feel sorry for Camera Girl“

She turned her gaze back at Nazo.

”So my knight what did bring you to this dance? I have to say your timing was impeccable. Did Sophia get a ticket for you as well?”

Mitsuki was amused to hear it was Kaguya’s father whom made the ring, along with her feelings with Mortimer getting it. A long slender finger tapped her chin in thought, that ring was exquisitely made, she wasn’t one of class spirit, but it was lovely non the less.

”You seemed displeased that Valdis won the ring?”

It would seem her answer would have to wait as Kaguya herself seemed to be a winner of one of the prizes. Mitsuki applauded along with the rest when she went up to claim it…this one certainly had a way with the delinquents. In fact she didn’t quite seem like the type Mortimer would usually hang out with. Mitsuki only offered a small polite smile; if she was new that would explain it.

”We’re in the specialty programs; so we don’t usually mix with normal students. It’s a large school after all, doesn’t surprise me that you haven’t seen us around.”

Mitsuki was thankful for the explanation on Valdis’s odd relation...however it was made worse with some offhand comment by Val before she took off. Mitsuki’s eye twitched as the purple hair girl troloped off. Mitsuki stood there quiet…before turning to Kail…..an un asked question on her lips…If that was Vals boyfriend….what on earth had Kail been doing with Valdis for her to have done more ‘stuff’ with him?

Kaguya comes back to the small group and answers some of there questions and starts with the blue haired girl first by the name of Kaori "I came from religious private school...the place was filled with super elitists. That if you are not super ritch then your trash, so I busted up a few heads after getting fed up with there cruel treatments.I got a transfer here without any problems. I'm taking most of the normal classes, although I am taking the basic music classes and art ones. As for clubs, I'm with the gardening club Kaori-san" she said and then answers Mitsuki's questions as she had left to get her prize. "She was getting done with some kind of thing earlier today. Its more like irony as she was getting a pair rings for herself and another friend" she then hears that Mitsuki was in the more gifted classes.

This caused her to regaurd Mitsuki and her two friends with some caution. "I see......." she said and it showed it as her demeanor changed slightly. As past events came to her mind and had to be on guard. Although the three were not mean or really react to her name. She tried to drop that feeling but could not at all. Due to what happened in her past. "Sorry, I'm a little paranoid. When someone is especialy gifted or that kind of program. My mind screams elitist prick, its a force of habit for me. So if I offended you then my bad" she said being honest although one could consider it being blunt with someone.

Kaori smiles at Kail, "Well, I'm sure any lady would be happy to dance with you."  She was hoping that lucky lady would be her, but she doubted it.  A girl could dream though.

“Tough girl,” Kaori says approvingly of Kaguya’s story, “I wouldn’t have pegged you for a gardener with a story like that though. Also, I thought private schools tended to have less issues. So how are you adjusting?”

Elitist and Kaori weren’t really things used in the same sentence. Kaori shakes her head, “And what’s wrong with being in a specialty program? Most of the upperclassman around here are in some type. But we are in cheer, so we don’t really see people outside of the cheerleading team. It takes up a lot of time. You just transferred, so have you given any thought to joining a team or doing whatever people do in the arts program?”

Rin moves further behind Mitsuki and Kaori, unsure of what to say in this conversation. She never took down one of her bullies before, and most bullies that she had were of the sickly sweet variety. Fake nice. Manipulative. And said heinous crap behind one’s back. And if you took physical action, you’d be the one in trouble. Kaguya seems to have come from an entirely different world from her. At the same time, they were both incapable of navigating what people called girl world.

She gives a sad look to Kail as he mentions that he didn’t have anyone. “I’m sure you’ll find someone.”
