Orange boots trudge through the snow on the way to Himuro Mansion. It was always surprising how one didn’t feel cold in the sailor senshi outfits. Despite the amount of exposed skin, Sophia felt pretty toasty going the somewhat long walk. However, she always wondered where her normal clothes went after transformation.

Halfway there, she realizes how crazy this is: going up to the door and knocking as Sailor Venus. This was going to be the most awkward dinner party that she had ever and possibly will ever go to in her life. This couldn't be that bad, could it? Prime Minister Adoji Ito had always seemed like a kind man at least.

When she gets to the door, she really hopes Valdis had enough to explain everything to her father. It would be really freaky to just have a bunch of kids wanted by the military to knock on your door unexpectedly.

After knocking on the door, she waits patiently. Hopefully, Kail would get here soon. She’s unsure if she could handle this on her own, but at least Valdis would be there even if he was late.

Maybe it would be advantageous for her to use her powers here. What better way of establishing peace than feelings of love? The emotion of love radiates off her to everything surrounding her as she stands outside.

Not too far behind Sophia was Kail as he was coming up already transformed into his alter ego. He was not sure what he would be facing in general with the president. But was confident that he would be able to see Sophia through this. He then walks up and feels the love aura that Sophia was releasing "Greetings, now lets just hope the President is in a talkative mood with us. I think we should try and use any emotional as a last resort. You tend to use yours the most. I don't want him to be influenced at all, by these powers. It might give us a lot more respect and standing. Since the President and those under him see us on the same level as the Covenant. If they knew that we could influence emotions. They might freak out more, I am just giving this to you as some advice" he said. Since that would be one of there last resorts aside from using there powers.

Kail was a bit worried that some of the group were getting a bit more reliant on some aspects of there powers. As Sophia was becoming too reliant on using her emotional control of love on people. And was worried that one day it could backfire on her.

The aura of love subsides as Kail mentions it. She looks a little guilty when she turns it off. “I’m kind of surprised you noticed it. I mean, I don’t think I would notice if the other’s used theirs. But I guess mine has always been far too strong. So I suppose you’re right. I’m kind of just hoping there isn’t like a bunch of people ready to take us away in there. That’s been the one thing I’ve worried about.”

She rubs the back of her head, “I guess I do use that particular thing a lot. I don’t know. It’s kind of like… I rather prevent any possibility of fighting if I can.”

Looking back at him, she notices the worried look on her face. She offers a reassuring smile, “I’ll try to keep it to situations where it seems necessary, ok?” Things would probably be ok if she didn’t have it.

She turns back to the door, and takes a deep breath. “We totally have this all under control, right?”

"If you don't I do"

Valdis had rushed to the door as soon as she felt Sophia start leaking love powers; she had gotten home from her rounds today and currently was washing up to get ready for dinner. After dinner she had planned on visiting the shrine, but this had been planned before hand. So she appeared before them with her wet hair tosseled with a towel draped over her head. She was in some loose fitting grey flannel pants that hung from her hips and a white camisole. Her feet were bear, and she shivered slightly from the breeze when she opened the door.

"Come inside both of you."

She let them in and closed the door behind them. Valdis saw that both of them were transformed and took a deep breath.

"Listen if things turn south run to my room; and Sophia transport Kail and yourself to the Venus castle. Is that understood? "

She didn't wait for an answer as she lead them to the dining room.

"Dad! The two I told you I wanted to introduce to you are here!"

Prime Minister Adoji Ito was staring at a large pile of paperwork, his hair messy. His shirt was loosely buttoned at the top and his sleeves rolled up, the glasses on his face with the faintest hint of moisture from the body heat from the stressed out president's expression. When he looks up at his belligerent daughter, a scowl crosses his face.

"What do you mean the two you wanted to introduce?" he says, as his expression sours to one with perhaps a little too much irritation. Between the attempt on his life, the wounding of one of his loyal bodyguards, the numerous incidents around the city, and oh yes, certainly not the least of all, his daughter was some kind of half monster, his month had certainly gone south.

As of right now, he was on guard but his eyes hadn't lain sight on the Venus Senshi or Mars Knight in the room over.

Kail hears the President speak up about who was there and he walks to where he was. He motions for Sophia to follow him into the dining room "I think she was speaking of us Ito-dono" he said and walks and reaches for his sheathed blade and takes the sheathed sword off and places it on the table. He then reaches over and takes off the throwing blade and does the same. Essentialy disarming himself to make him less of a threat. "I am Exia-Knight of Mars and this is Sailor Venus he motioned with his hand to Sophia. "We need to talk about ourselves to you. As well as a few other matters. Hopefully we will not take too much of your time" he said and waited for the President to give them permission to at least sit down. Since he did not know what this man's reaction is. He had hoped that disarming himself did not freak the elderman out.

Sophia hurries behind Kail as he motions her to follow. She gives a deep bow upon seeing Prime Minister Adoji Ito, “Thank you for meeting with us on such short notice and having us over for dinner. I hope we are not imposing too much. We really do appreciate this.” However, she gets the sense that Valdis didn’t really tell him terribly much.

“The main topic we wanted to discuss the possibility of cooperation with the Japanese military and government. We will be negotiating on behalf of our team. Like Exia said, we do hope that we can come to some kind of agreement quickly. However, before that, I am sure that you have many questions, and we would be happy to answer as many as we can.”

In comparison to Kail, she is far less threatening. She was poorly covered with no weapons. And after seeing that anime, most would probably think she was just a cosplayer. She offers a calm smile to help break the tension a little here as the President already seemed somewhat aggravated.

Valdis entered ahead of them, her pace was quick and with purpose. It figured her dad would be in one of her sour moods, however with all of what was going on she could not blame him. Hopefully however if the meeting turned out well this would be one less headache for him to deal with. However considering his last run in with Yinko had gone horribly wrong, she was more than sure this was going to be an awkward meeting.

"I told you the other night that I wanted to invite two people to dinner; I was vague on who. I didn't think you would meet with them otherwise."

When Kail entered the room she slid to stand behind her father; her hand resting on his shoulder. She gave it a reassuring squeeze as Kail disarmed himself.

"Exia and Venus want to make peace; they are in no ways connected with the covenant."

Really her father shouldn't be surprised, she had told him she was going to fight against the covenant, so her association with the senshi should not come of much of a surprise. She leaned over and placed a soft kiss on the top of his head. A light smile on her face; hopefully he trusted her enough not to place him in harms way and would concede to meeting with the two peacefully.

"Whether this meeting happens or not is up to you father; I'm sure Exia and Venus will leave if you wish to decline and arrange it at a separate date. They do want to show you that they mean you and our country no harm. However it is my suggestion that you meet with them now, I did arrange dinner after all"

Her violet gaze looked up at Kail and Sophia, daring them to challenge what she just said.

Adoji's expression stiffens to one of cold wariness. He glares at the senshi and knight standing across from him, looking at the weapons placed on the table and shaking his head slightly.

"From what I've seen, you people don't need to have weapons in hand." he says, his tone instantly filled with suspicion and apprehension. Who could blame him. The touch that Valdis did along with the affectionate daughter to father kiss did little to improve his disposition. Valdis would realize this was the no nonsense state of mind that he would use for dealing with political opposition and generally anyone who made his life more difficult.

"You say you want cooperation, to talk about you. You see, you tell me you want to be a force of good, but yet all I see is destruction and chaos in the city. You have also attacked soldiers and military police with little regard for the law. I should very much like to know what to expect from this meeting...perhaps a petition for you to wreck entire districts of city and say it's in the name of the greater good?" he says, showing clearly where he stood on the constant battles going throughout the city.

Kail had to chuckle at the fact that the President had said that he did not need weapons to do damage. "Normaly you would be correct but for myself, I am a swordsman and my main power comes from my blades. As well as my special skills" he said and then heard Ito go into a rant about them causing damage and causing trouble to the police and the military. The redhead would have to give it to man on that one. "Do you think you consider yourself naïve to think that fighting is something clean that causes no damage to the world around you? Even then your just scapegoating us for your frustrations with the Covenant" the redhead had countered back at the President. Kail then takes a seat that would be facing directly at Prime Minister Adoji Ito and sits in the memed gendo postion. He then starts to articulate on what he has to say next to the man.

"I will agree that some of our other members are a bit reckless. There actions should used against us as a whole. Second most of our teammates are about roughly Valdis's age give or take. So there is going to be a few boneheads. Although I would be a hypocrite if I was not guilty of some action against the law. But mine would be justified though, tell me what would you do if you just saw someone die in front of you that was family? And then have someone in a purely non human voice say stand down or be destroyed? Tell me would you have not acted out while in despair and rage that you could not have helped them" Kail said trying to show that they were human. Rather then some demon or being of the covenant.

"To put things in perspective for you sir, we are all human. None of us have asked for this power. But somehow as if by fate we were given these powers. So you do you think we have any experience on using these magical powers? You think that we would want to create mass destruction and ruin civilian lives. I ask you this, what would you do in our shoes? And please Ito-dono, I humbly ask you not to avoid the question" Kail said and waited for the president to speak.

Sophia nods as Valdis says the meeting is Prime Minister Adoji Ito’s choice. “If you want us to leave now, we will. But I know you probably have plenty to say to us, questions and perhaps criticisms. I cannot see a better time to address those than now.”

She glances at Exia’s sword as the President mentions weapons. “I am the same. I need my bow just as Exia needs his sword, which I currently don’t have. Well, I can heal in this state without a weapon, but that’s not what you meant,” Sophia says a little nervously, realizing they were already off to a rocky start. “I believe that is the most peaceful gesture we can offer at the moment. However, if there is something we can do to make you feel more comfortable with our presence here, we would be willing to hear that request.”

She lets Kail finish his response to the president before piping in. She takes a calmer, more diplomatic approach to Kail’s more passionate and emotional one. “I think any hostile actions against the soldiers and military police were taken in self-defense. These incidents were regrettable, but our team was not given much choice. In none of these encounters did any member of our team take the first hostile action. As your men did attempt to use deadly force, some of us were forced to react. I apologize on behalf of the team for any injuries. We did not want it to come to that.” Despite her calm tone, there is sincerity in her voice. She never wanted other people to get hurt. That wasn’t supposed to be part of the job.

“We have no desire to destroy the city. I will admit that I live within the city. I have a completely normal life otherwise. I have family and friends. I wouldn’t do anything to try to jeopardize them or this city. And just as Exia said, we have these powers which give us the obligation to use them to protect and save the people we can. These fights would happen regardless of our presence. There are many Covenant members in the city. We attempt to subdue all threats as quickly and as few casualties as we can. I believe we do better than the military in that job. In the case of Zodiac encounters, you are supposed to bomb the area, correct? We removed Scorpio with far less destruction.” It’s an honest answer whether Prime Minister Adoji Ito chose to accept it or not.

“All we want is to perhaps coordinate our efforts and be able to return home safely at the end of the day. We need nothing else.”

Valdis hopped on the desk, sitting with her leg crossed over her knee. It was her normal position when it came to chatting, and it would seem that the other seats were taken. Her dad had at least put on his business face, so it would look like he was going to take them up on their offer to talk. That was at least progress. She nodded with both Kail and Sophia went on to explain that they were not able to do damage without their weapons, a sly grin spreading across her face.

"I'm the only one in this room that could burn your butt while just sitting here"

Valdis nodded when Kail went on to explain, a slight apologetic look was thrown his way when he attempted to justify his actions.

"I know personally he regrets his actions and it will not happen again......But as for the others goof ups they are also sincerely sorry and are taking action to make sure that the incidents will not repeat themselves"

She was referring to the whole Yinko assassination incident; and after both Kail and Sophia had said their fill Val added her own point of view.

"Quite frankly both sides know politically at this point it would be unfavorable to claim alliance with the senshi at this point. The public fear us just as much as they fear the covenant...however it's in none of our interest to work against one another. I think we can agree on this point yes? The senshi need to work on their PR; but first and foremost we need to convince everyone the Senshi are on your side and not the covenants."

Ito's expression remains stern even when Valdis offhandedly said that she could kill him without weapons. When Exia mentions the naive attribute of combat and destruction around them, his expression remains firm.

"In every incident I am aware of, supernatural powers have caused large scale destruction that have required a profound effort to keep from starting the populace in a panic. I have millions of people under my ward and when a park gets ripped up or a train station explodes..." he says, referring to other incidents in the past.

"Do you think millions of people who believe Japan to be a rare haven of safety in this cold, sad world want to see these things and fear overtaking them? What kind of life do you expect them to live, knowing the sword is hanging over their head to lop it off at the whim of the Covenant or hormone driven teenagers with paranormal abilities?" he says then glancing at the senshi, then back at the knight.

"You want to say that you're good and on the right side of things. Perhaps your presence in the city and your activity is enough to instigate these heightened attacks? What if these destructive skirmishes simply provoke higher and higher acts of retaliation with my city, my country, my people in the middle of it? At what point does it end? When one side has completely obliterated the other with thousands of casualities in it's wake?"

When the two paranormals mention self-defense, Ito's expression deepens in scowl. He reaches down to a folder and plucks it out after sifting trough the tab names, opening the yellow paper and fingering through the pages before he pulls out a picture of a rock in a hospital room.

"A recent incident: a man with a gold mask approached, provoked an argument, and then attacked with a stone of unnatural origin with a Lieutenant in the Military Police who was recovering from flesh wounds. This is the act of one whom is on the right side of things? Disagreeing with an MP warrants having a small boulder thrown at you?" he says, then continuing on.

"If I were a policeman whom had to deal with vigilantes with paranormal powers, I would certainly treat you as dangerous and on the same page as a Covenant operative. I would be a fool not to raise my weapon. Emotional state or not, that doesn't justify attacking anyone who acts on the law's behalf. Every time you have been approached by a MP it was with restraint to attempt a dialogue via the standard operating procedures when dealing with a vigilante threat. They could simply have opened fire on sight. Perhaps going forward that is what the policy should be, if they are going to get attacked anyway." the President says, clearly unamused with the attitude thus far with the various wounded personnel.

"I can even attest to this from my own personal experience. There is a young man...one who claimed to associate himself with others who could handle paranorml situations, who confronted me in the Imperial Gardens days ago. When I disagreed with his own notion of how the military should act going forward, the end result was one of my bodyguards, a friend of the family, was severely wounded and still in the ICU, miraculously stable but slow to recover, and even I felt as though my own life was in danger." he says firmly, handing out a number of reasons that even the guardians in the room would have to acknowledge undermined their case from the perspective of the government.

When the Venus Senshi mentioned the Class V covenant protocol, Ito closed his eyes for a moment, exhaling.

"That protocol is adopted from what other nations, including the United States, European Union, and others, determined to be the only possible way to deter a Class V covenant occurrence. Now. I will admit, the fact that I assume your group intervened in Shinjuku and wiped out the suspected Class V target may be a notable achievement. However back to my earlier statement, I still believe that the Class V target appearing may have been a result of your group's actions. The fact that you killed a Class V could also mean more Class V, more powerful ones, could enter the area and cause a catastrophe that I dare not dream." he says with a deep sigh filled with the concern for his citizens. He rubs his forehead for a moment, before he glances down at the pair on the other end again.

"What I would do if I came to have supernatural powers? Personally, I would keep it to myself and try to live as normally as possible knowing that the real world environment would clump me in with the monsters who terrorize the world. However if I had a messiah complex, then I would enlist in the military and make it known that I have these abilities and I want to use them against the Covenant. I'm certain I'd be subject to many tests and treated like an outcast, but I think that risk is less than being a vigilante and praying I can not get shot, eaten, clawed at, blown up with paranormal energy, or some other shape or form of bad events trying to wing it." he says, answering Exia's question with basic honesty and sincerity.

"Now...I postulate to you. What would you do if you had the lives of millions to be responsible for, knowing that your nation is one of the only places anyone feels to some degree of safe. Where you know that the creepers in the dark are lurking, observing, but otherwise quiet and not causing obvious problems. That to hunt them down in the civilian populations would cause losses of life and pain that is frankly unneeded. At the very least, people don't feel like the monsters are ready to take their lives where they stand. But then suddenly teenagers show up with magical powers and try to 'save the day' but causing millions in damages and infrastructure, causing nervousness and fear among the population that any day now a full blown war could break out? How would you handle such a situation?"

Sophia sighs. The illusion of safety meant so much more than actual safety, it seemed. She could hardly understand keeping those kinds of priorities. “I understand you want to keep them from panicking. However, in the long run, wouldn’t removing all threats be better than simply pretending they weren’t there. There was Covenant in the city before we arrived. We are dealing with the ones we find, but I assume there are many more infiltrating normal society that we don’t know about. I think dealing with that issue is more important to the safety of Japan and perhaps the entire world.”

Raising an eyebrow, she says, “Restraint and communication? That’s not what it looked like on our end. If that was the order, then it is not being followed. If they wanted to communicate with us, they could have done something to show that. However, that hasn’t seemed like something that they ever had in mind. And I know the one with the gold mask. He wouldn’t have thrown a boulder of a simple dispute. However, if he felt threatened, then yes.” Surely, Kishin wouldn’t unless a gun was pointed at him, would he?

“Not all interactions with the MPs have been negative though. The one who isn’t in a burn ward following the Covenant attack in Shinjuku by a woman with power to sling fire balls can thank me for his relative lack of injuries and medical bills.”

However, on the story about the assassination attempt, Sophia eyes widen a bit. “Wait, what? Who? Why? I didn’t… I didn’t know… The rest of us would have never been ok with such an action. I am sorry that ever happened.” Maybe her team wasn’t so benevolent as she imagined. Even Kail seemed to have done something in her absence. Did everyone find it ok to injure other human beings when she wasn’t looking? Trust in her team… it was beginning to wane a little.

With her head hung a little low, she keeps trying, but she feels odd working for people who evidently have such a bad track record. “Scorpio was in the city prior to our appearance. I do apologize it took so long for us to stop him. However, these threats do not exist because of us, but were always here. We just bring them to light.”

She shakes her head. “The risk doesn’t matter. And I don’t care about being known either. None of us shout our names from the rooftops or cry out for attention. It’s a moral obligation. Doing what we can is what we need to do. That being said, I am not here just because I feel like I must, but I also want to be here. I don’t like fighting, but I want to help people. And with the power to right the world, what other choices do we have but to intervene? Wouldn’t you do anything to see spring happen again?”

“As for the public, some may come to accept us. Some may hate us. I know we represent a very uncomfortable truth that no place is really safe. But as I said before, ignoring the problems doesn’t make them go away. It dooms the future.”

Kail was thinking very hard as well as look at the President and he sighed within his head. As the man was trying to do his best on trying to show how much of a terror they are to the public. "But lets be real and speak plain. If you really want to take a look at who is a bigger menance to the people. The Shogun mechs could easily do twice or more damage then we can do. Even environmental damage, I mean with the current tech and what I have seen in fiction. The only way to power a mecha like that would have to be some kind of reactor core. If that exploded the damage would be really really bad. And unlike us who could leave after the Covenant have been defeated. These weapons of war would be around for years and more so or they could be used against the people if a meglomaniac got a hold of several of them. Or some terrorist group that is like the Covenant. Either going on a ramage or making it self destruct" he said looking at the man. His demeanor was serious as he was still quite calm as he spoke.

"So do not make yourself a white knight, plus there other things I can put into question if you like. But lets say we do vanish from the world right now, it would change nothing. As the Covenant would send more youma against the city until they force us out. So that would be bad for you, in the long run we are going to be here either you like it or not." Kail said as he spoke with a lot of passion. Kail was still staring intently at the president. Trying to find that one weak point that he could find and use it to there advantage.

"Also in your mind we are also your political enemy as well. If the people saw that we are fighting against the covenant for them, for the future of the world. Who do you think that they will side with? Lets say in five months from as a example, we take down five more Zodiac Covenant. And you and the military can not come up with anything to fight them or take down a single Zodiac Covenant? The people would be on our side, even if you do spin the media to try and make us sound as evil as the Covenant. People would see us having the results behind us. Lets say you try and deal with us full force, do you know how many people would be up in arms in this sernario? Everyone as your taking away the only hope to fight the Covenant and perhaps the future of the world" he said and continued speaking as he was catching a breath.

"Another thing to keep in mind, if lets say we go to the media and explain our selves to the public. Then you send the military in on us, tell me wouldn't that be abuse over your power as a President? As your political enemies as well as the Covenant could spin it as such and could be swelled to the point that you might be considered a communist or dictator. The Covenant are already in the political system, I mean look at what happened with Switzerland they were taken down from within. I am not like this at all when I am not a knight. But due to what has happened in my live I will do what I can to make sure that this world will be alive again not for us but our future generations. My thoughts are not for myself but for others He said and felt bad for Valdis as she had gotten snubbed. But her father was not being won over at all so he was gambling on something.

Kail was going to attack politicaly to break the wall that the President put up. He was going to by the end of this try and break that wall and make him an ally.
