Kaguya stepped into her father's store after getting out from school as she did not have any club meetings or things of that nature at the moment. She goes behind the counter and places her bag in her father's office. As well as the coat she was wearing since the store was rather warm. After that the pink haired girl stepped into her old man's workshop "HEY DAD, I'M HERE" she yelled out to him as she did not want to get close to him. As her father was working at a forge and was pulling a super heated metal out from it. That and she was not wearing any protective gear. None the less her father gave Kaguya a thumbs up to show that he heard her. With that she goes back to the store front and gets behind the register.

The store itself was a decent sized store as it had several display cases that showed what her father made. For the most part her father made swords and some weapon replicas for customers. But extended his tallents and made some fine art with metal crafted sculptures to jewelery. The jewelery went from fine and detailed bracelets and pendants and then some. Kaguya then just waits for a customer to show up, as she does though. Her hand reaches down to look at one of the business cards of the store. The card had the name of the store which was called Vulcan's Soulforged.

Valdis was slightly bored; she was walking down the street munching some poky. She had just gotten out of the studio after working on some music videos. So she was still dressed in her outfit that seemed a little to doll like for her normal tastes. Her long purple hair was done up in to two pigtails, held up by two bat winged barrettes. Her dress was a short lolita styled dress, with a black sailor like top with an empire waist. The black material fell down in large eight petal like segments, revealing a purple plaid material underneath. A purple plaid tie complemented the material underneath. Black knee high stockings did little to keep her legs warm, but the cold never bothered her much anyways. She wore ankle high boots as well as she strolled along the city streets. She had on her long trench coat, which was good considering the dress she had underneath was short sleeved. Yes it was a bit chilly but alas it was the fashion the shoot called for.

Her violet eyes caught a glimpse of pink hair....she was able to recognize her as Kaguya before she slipped away into the store. Curious Valdis quickened her step until she was in front of the shop. She looked up at the sign above the door with mild interest before walking into the shop. She stopped to take in the sites...it seemed like a shop Kail might visit that was sure.

Kaguya becomes alert when she hears the door open as well as a jingle of a bell to signal that someone has walked in. At first she did not recongnise Valdis at first glance due to the outfit and hair style. She thought it was a much younger pop star coming in to get away from the cold. But then saw that it was Valdis and was not very pleased with this. But she was a customer in her father's store so some respect would have to be given. As Valdis browsed the cases she would see some high quality jewelry, ranging from cute to some very wicked things. Even the metals ranged from steel, bronze, silver, gold, and even platinum. There were also some very deadly looking katanas, there mere presence were more then enough to say these are not a toy. Aside from the katanas, there were normal bladed weapons including a few polearms.

"So Valdis, escape from someone's giant doll house" Kaguya said and had to admit the dress was cute. Although knew that the price on it would have a really large price tag on it. That could wipe out a few months of her allowance.

Valdis turned her attention away from browsing only for a moment when Kaguya called out to her; she awarded the girl with a small devious smile.

"You could say that...."

She turned back to looking at the wares; she was actually impressed with the craftsmanship. Every piece seemed unique and not the mass produced trinkets from the larger chain stores. Her eyes scanned over to the weapons; her eyes resting on the katanas. They were like the ones she had found in Kails bedroom but she had the feeling these might have been a better make...Although Kail was probably one to go for a more historic weapon with some history behind it. A new one might look pretty but had no real weight behind it...something with a story would suit him better. Her eyes returned back to the trinkets.

"These are all very impressive; are they made here?"

She assumed so...the smell of melting metal was usually distinctive. But she really didn't care much for the answer it was just small talk at the moment. The girl wasn't being nearly as bubbly as she was when she first met her in the sun dome. Even less so when she had come for a visit at her mansion; so she didn't find the girl as annoying. However that may not have been a mutual feeling.

Kaguya saw the smile on Valdis's face and rolled her eyes at the remark. But she watches her eye some of the displays and saw Valdis looking at the katanas. She then walks to the display that the idol was at and heard her ask if all of it was made at the store. This caused her to revert to the bubbly personality that Valdis first saw. "YUP my daddy makes everything in the area next door to this place. Any who you don't seem like the type to go for a weapon like that" Kaguya said without realizing that it was someone that she had some mild disgust with. She had a lot of pride and joy at her father's tallents. "You seem more like the type to stabby stabby someone in the back" she said and pointing to several knives and daggers including some elegant looking switchblades. After a few minutes Kaguya realized that she was talking to Valdis and was now blushing in slight embaressment. So she was trying to prepair herself for a rather big jab that would be coming to her from the girl across from her.

AAnnnd there it was; bubbly always irked her a bit but thanks to Sophia's consistent persistence she had gained a better tolerance of it. It caused her eye to twitch momentarily before she let out a small sigh. She could understand a girls attachment for her father, and pride in what he does. She really couldn't fault her for being bubbly about that. Valdis took pride in her father as well...it was something that she apparently shared in common with Kaguya.

"So this is your father's shop?"

Her dad did some impressive work. She chuckled when she mentioned that the sword didn't seem to fit her.

"I wasn't looking at it for something for me, Kail likes swords I was considering buying him one....however I think he would prefer something with a bit more of a story behind it."

She out right laughed when she mentioned that she was more of the stabby stabby type.

"When you're right you're right, its quick, effective, and they can't stab me back if I'm behind them. However I do like to change things up a bit, so I'm more of the anything goes type. "

She wasn't ashamed of it either, however a weapon to suit that style was hard to find. So she let her eyes wondered back to the trinkets. Her eyes resting on one of the cuter charms, it was a small friendship kind of necklace with two pieces....a smirk grew on her face as she pointed to the necklaces.

"Can you engrave those?"

Oh she had a wonderfully annoying plan for these.

Kaguya nods her head answering that this store belonged to her father "Yeah, I help out when I can,plus earn my allowance at the same time" she said. The pink haired girl's eyebrow raises slightly at the mentioning of that redhead. "Oh Kail-san? Yeah he would seem like the type for that kinda thing. But I think he would want one of these blades. As I heard people remark my father being a reincarnation of the swordsmith Muramasa. On his craftsmanship of these blades, so that's one thing to think about" she said and remembering vaguely knew that he was a swordsman. Plus being a fiction writer on top of that, but that was about it. Then hearing about the style of attacking made her roll her eyes again

"I don't know much on any of these weapons at all, maybe some stuff from manga and anime. Maybe talk to Kail or my father for weapon choice. That's if you want a weapon" she said and shrugs. Since she did not know in detail everything there. Maybe some mentioning of there name and how they were used in combat. Things change when Valdis was looking at the friendship necklace "Uh....I think so....let me get my father. Because I am not sure on the finer details, give me one sec" she said and looked around quickly to see if any other customers walked in. Before going into the back to get her father from the forge area.

Val smiled softly, it sounded like the girl and her father had a close relationship.
"It must be nice being able to work with your father; my dad won't let me get near his work...understandably so but still. Tho then again I do manage to dig my nose into his business anyways.

She listened to Kaguya's opinion on the swords. Val was amused by the girls sales pitch; you could really tell that she worked in the store for a while. But she would do more research before she went and bought the blades. After all if one was going to buy a gift they would have to make sure the recipient would like it....or make sure it would get a few good laughs. She nodded when Kaguya admitted she didn't know much about weapons.

"Yet another thing we have in common; I have never really taken much interest in weapons before hand. Never had the need for them before.....However there is a charm to them I suppose. But I'm not really in search for a weapon at the moment...I mean there wouldn't be much use for a normal weapon if you know what I mean."

Valdis nodded when the girl excused herself, if they did engrave she would simply be asking for the roman numerical number two, a I on each half. This was one of those gifts that was meant to get a few laughs, she honestly didn't expect it to be worn or liked. But the brain breaking factor was there.

Kaguya comes back ""Looks like he can, and wants to speak to you on it. I don't know how detailed you want it though" she said and looked behind her and saw her father walking up. The man was about a few inchies taller then his daughter. He was very youthful looking and did stand out a lot. He had pale skin even though he worked with the forge did not seem to darken or scared over from burns. His long white hair was pulled up and held up in a samurai like style. Although some of his hair hid one of his eyes over and the one that could be seen was blood red. His top was light although Valdis could see a heavy coat tied around his waist as well as some thick pants.

"Greetings Miss I am Hoshigane Shiro" said Shiro as he gave Valdis a slight bow being a bit formal. His tone was well mannered and soft "Now what kind of engraving do you want done? It may raise the price of the necklace by a little or a lot. I just don't want to make your pretty face have a frown" said sounding like a very nice guy.

The years of strict discipline and etiquette lessons kicked in; when Kaguya's father came in Vals posture changed to that of a traditional high class Japanese girl. Her hands folded ever so neatly in front of her as she bent ever so slightly in a bow that was appropriate of someone of her stature. She raised herself back to perfect posture as she looked Kaguya's father in the eye. A soft smile playing on her lips as she noticed the color of his eyes.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance Hoshigane san; my name is Valdis Mortimer"

She left the Ito part out, she didn't often introduce herself as an Ito. She didn't seen the reason to indulge here.

"It should be a simple engraving really; just the numerical number two a one on each half of this friendship necklace"

She pointed to the necklace she was talking about; it was a set of sterling silver necklaces. It had a simple round medallion with a jagged split through the middle. It was one that looked like it was meant to be engraved. She smiled up at him; Valdis could be polite when she wanted to be; after all she had to attend public events with her father often.

"That's all.....hhhhmmmm well the engraving is on the house. Its rare that my Chibi Usa here makes friends. So stick a round for a bit, I'll try and get this done for you" said Shiro as his visable eye had a cheerful glint to it and had a very warm smile. As he reached up and messed with his daughters hair a bit.

"Dad....your embaressing me" wined Kaguya as she looked a bit flustered when her father was messing with her. She gives a pout as he stops and has a thoughtful look on his face. As his smile was still on his face.


"I have a laser cutter I wanted to try for engraving items he said and gently took the necklace and started to head to his workshop. "Ah yes that reminds me, I did make some tea. You girls can have a cup and there should be some snacks in the lounge area" he said and then continued into his workshop.

Kaguya turns to Valdis looking a ebareast as her cheeks were tinged a bit red. "Not one word you hear me. Anyway...follow me to the lounge" she said and motioned for Valdis to follow her.

"Yes that is all, Thank you Sir."

Valdis had to hold a hand to her mouth to conceal a large grin as she witnessed the interaction between father and daughter. It was cute, and amusing on how much it embarrassed Kaguya. Apparently she was the type to worry about what people thought. As he left and offered them tea Val called back her thanks once more. Her hand dropped back down to her side as Kaguya gave her a threatening stare and told her not to say a word.

"I may tease you for being overly bubbly but I'm not one to tease a fathers affections for his daughter. I'm quite envious really; my dad is awkward when it comes to showing affection at best."

She fallowed Kaguya back to the lounge.

"So it's just you and your dad?"

When they get to the lounge it had a small kitchenete with a stove and oven function as well as fridge and a few other appliances. There were also several cabinates arranged close to the stove for various kitchen needs. On the stove there was a tea pot that had the brew that Kaguya's father had made. She gets a two mugs and starts to fill them up "I will bealive you on that, as to the other question though" said Kaguya as she brings a mug over to Valdis. "No I have a younger sister and mother. Lets just say our family is kinda odd, if you meet my mother that is" she said and then takes a sip of her tea. There would be a table and chairs in one area and then a couch that was placed in front of a TV. It looked rather norma

Valdis nodded thanks when the cup of tea was handed to her, it smelt heavenly. She took a few sips before chuckling at Kaguyas confession of her family being a bit odd.

"Between you and Kail I'm beginning to think maybe I'm the only one out of the group with a normal parents. Well parent......doesn't explain much about me though."

She swirled the tea around in her mug before taking another few sips.

"Kails mother is interesting; she randomly attacks him, and her temper is funny. It's fun to convince her that Kail and I are together."

She chuckled darkly, and wondered what Kail had to face when his mother finally got him alone fallowing the night after the fight with Scorpio. Her eyes darkened slightly at the memory; the dreams had only gotten worse sense then...She looked back up at Kaguya with a smile.

"So you have a younger sister? What is she like? Odd like your mother or odd like her sister?"

"I'll put it like this, My mom is a pro wressler that's heavly toned and stands about 6'4. A amazon compaired to most women in this country. My sister is more or less normal compared to myself, my father, and mother. Although she's more of the really girly girl type" said Kaguya as she gets some rice crackers and sits down at the table and motions for Valdis to come over. "Honestly I like my family so I have no complaints about it" she then looks over at Valdis again. "So whats with you and Mr.Red, it seems like its master and servent kind of a deal. Although am I thinking of the wrong term here" she said as it felt like it between the two of them.
