As Valdis lost consciousness, the clone would shimmer and fade away. Gemini would appear on the ground in a rapid blur as he looks at the unconscious girl. His skull face contorts to a frown as he reaches into his coat and pulls out a cigar, igniting it with a flame on his thumb and taking several puffs of the cancerous treat before he speaks to the unconscious girl.

"You may have some muscle behind your magic, but without an understanding of subtlety then you will not get as far as you say you will. What are you really here for anyway, Valdis Ito Mortimer. Do you really think I so foolish as to not have seen you associate with the skirt squad?" he says as he draws his gun out with the other hand and points it at Valdis.

"Part of me feels like I should kill you now and be done with it.." he says before lowering the gun to his side and exhaling with a small chuckle. "Or perhaps there is more to it...and I can make a use of you one way or another..." he muses aloud, before he turns and hops in a tree. He leans his head down and spends a time relaxing with his stogie before he would fall asleep in an awkward nap.

Some time later, Valdis would awaken and find a seemingly asleep Gemini in a nearby tree.

Valdis awoke some time later, she groaned as she pushed herself into a sitting position. Her head swam and pounded, she rubbed the sides of her temples with a set frown on her face. She had acted quickly there…if she hadn’t delivered as much poison as she had then she probably would haven’t had passed out as quick as she did. That clone….with a start she looked up wide eyed….was that thing still around. It seemed to be gone and she sighed with relief. She was actually kind of surprised to wake up un maimed…that and Gemini hadn’t offed her when she had failed his ‘test’ with his no room for the week complex and all. She looked around for him and got up, still a little woozy from the effects of her venom. She spotted his nesting spot and walked over, poking him in the side.

”What happened to there is no room for the weak. Why didn’t you kill me, I failed you test. Your clone was different from the one I faced with Scor….Ohh”

There was a small moment of realization, her face went from discovery to pure frustration as she face palmed herself in the forehead. She had been to freaking freaked out by the twin….

”Scorpio used a twin attack thing as well…in an illusion. It broke when I accepted the youma part of myself. Same theory …isn’t it”

Really she was supposed to be smarter than that. She could face blood and gore and certain death with a clear mind but have something like Sophia come and hug her and panic set in…Worse if she was to face that again….she wouldn’t be able to defeat it. Because she sure as well couldn’t accept being soft. Or kind and giddy…maybe she should have just thrown insults at it until it was a sobbing mess. That she could accept….

"You would never have passed that test. It was more a means to gauge where you are and where you need to be." Gemini says with a yawn, stretching but a little. "And that was no illusion. Within everything, there are many dualities vying for control. That technique brings out the opposite of what someone rejects the most but is just as much a part of them on a subconscious level." Gemini says with a slight shrug. He knocks the wood on the tree with a slight chuckle.

"Learn some subtlety kid. Both to use it, and to not take what you see at face value. It will do you good as time goes on. If you think you can just use your raw power to rise to the top, then you're not much better than that rock golem you beat up when I first met you."

"Wait... The opposite of what we reject most, or the actual thing we reject the most. Because that thing was waaaayyy to friendly and I have no qualms about being a bitch"

She thought for a bit, if that was what she rejected most, it made sense. After all now of all times would not be the time to go all soft and likable...but she was pretty sure that whole cuddles bit if times right could be creepy as hell. Maybe the creepy twin would be good for something.

When Gemini actually gave her advice she was surprised. Her eyes slowly narrowed as the meaning sunk in. A small smirk played across her face.

"You're right... But sometimes it is more fun to be blunt, and there is a certain satisfaction into beating something into the ground... I can understand why the short skirt squad is so fond of it..."

She guessed that he knew she wasn't completely gung-ho for the covenant but for some reason he was not getting rid of her. What ever his reasons it was working out for her for now. She would count her blessings and take what lessons he was willing to teach. Her smile grew mischievous as she pulled a half of a broken circle with a numerical I on it hung by a silver chain. In one swift motion she clipped it around his neck and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

"Thanks for today's lesson see you again soon twinsy"


And with that she was gone.
