Sophia raises an eyebrow momentarily at Amarissa. “I can’t see who you’re talking to, but if they want to help, I’d appreciate it greatly.” She could give Ama the benefit of the doubt here. Their lives were strange enough that Sophia could believe that some of them saw invisible creatures. She shoots a slight glare at Kail as he facepalms. “If you have a better idea, then please say it. Otherwise, fall in line,” she says with a voice that perhaps sounded more natural coming out of one of her parents then her. At this moment, she didn’t really have the patience for naysayers that weren’t offering any other suggestions. Valdis comes out of nowhere, and Sophia is somewhat happy to see her return. She watches as coils the chain around him, and Sophia grips one end tightly. It’s not really too much of a surprise that the creature gets more powerful. The heat it emits burns her hands through chain. It sears her hands a deep red, but she doesn’t let go until the chain is fully broken. The youma’s words seem miles away as Sophia concentrates on the chain. She just needed some more power. She just needed to hold on a little longer. Why was she so weak when people needed her?! On the border of her vision, she sees it walking closer. “Ama, hurry!” she shouts. .

Kaguya watching the fight sighs and desides to take the fight on the flame demon and just sighs "Eh, just shut hell up. Your going down like the rest of these damn things so wipe that smug look off of your face. Same old same old from demon overlords, get some new material" she said looking at the creature just giving a look that said enough is enough. Kaguya goes over to Amarissa and then sees her zone out. "I may not be able to speak to spirits but Ama here's a little something from me" she said and then tries to use her own life energy to balance Amarissa for better control. Kaguya could tell that she was overflowing with spiritual power.

Yinko frowned. Sophia was falling, and she wasn't going to hang on much longer. There was no choice, regardless of what his self preservation was telling him. Handing the carbine back to Priestess Hino, David found himself bounding through the foliage, making his way to his...princess. He'd never get used to that term, not for this kid.

Reaching out to her hands, Yinko tried desperately to help hold the chains in place. The instant he touched them, however, he felt the sting of heat cut into his skin. Why didn't they ever bring insulated frisk gloves with them on these missions?

Amarissa could hear the spirits whispering around her. They were speaking about her, the priestess, and the youma but it was hard to keep up. Most of them talked at the same time and in a slight echo. After a few moments, she could sense that they had come to a decision and as they began to disappear, Amarissa found herself disappointed. Then suddenly, she felt a surge of energy and all her senses seemed to sharpened. Literally glowing with the power from the spirits, she could feel everything in the shrine and it was amazing but she knew this wouldn't last long.

She began to prepare herself, drawing the energy together. So focused was she that she didn't notice Kaguya come forward to help until she felt the energy from the Earth Senshi. It mixed with the spirit energy, tasting of green and growing things such as she hadn't seen in a long time. The memory that brought was the last bit she needed. "Stand back!" she called to the others, mostly the Venus duo and Valdis.

Focusing upon the youma, Amarissa took a step forward. "You have threatened a sacred place that once was yours to protect. The spirits are angry and disappointed. You, who were pure of heart, now corrupted but I will give you rest. Have a Pure Soul!!" she shouted, finally letting go of the energy. All of her own energy, that of the spirits, and Kaguya's which was the essences of the earth itself, was directed at the former priest. The Moon senshi glowed, her hands clasped to her chest with her hair flying about, utterly focused. She saw in her mind the way the shrine used to be, before the endless winter and the priest knelt praying in the forest. Amarissa projected that to the youma, adding the peaceful feelings to her barrage. A wave of energy broke from her, spreading over the entire shrine and ending her attack.

After she runs out of energy, the moon senshi collapses to her knees and holding her injured arm just managing not to pass out, yet.

Valdis held on tight to the chains, pain so much pain erupted in her soul. It was as if every nerve ending was on fire. Her whole insides burned; her face turned into that of a grimace with her teeth barred in a snarl. Despite the pain she could see her taking the energy was having an effect. However the energy intake was having an effect on her, the smooth purple markings on her face widen and formed jagged edges, the whites of her eyes turned red taking on a more demonic look. Her eyebrows shot up when she heard what the beast was saying, most of it was dribble...but it had said something of importance. It had a crystal...this thing was one of the things they were suppose to be looking for! She glanced at the others, Ama seemed to be preparing for something, it seemed as if they just needed more time.

"A crystal? Some overlord you'd be having to rely on a gem to enforce your rule."

Her voice came out as a hiss, from teeth barred in pain. But she would keep it talking to buy some more time.

"That crystal will consume your energy and your soul; you will reach your goal but you won't be here to enjoy it. Use it and you will end up like the dead queen."

As he began to move forward Valdis dug her heels into the ground still holding onto the chains despite the feeling of overload on her system. She heard Ama shout to get out of the way...it was about time...however if she did that the creature would become unbound, with out anyone drawing out its energy. It would be possible for him to deflect any blow Ama sent at him if she stopped now. So she held on and positioned herself so she stood behind the youma. She could feel Ama's energy growing, she would hold on until right before the attack would hit the youma. When Ama's attack was released Valdis let go of the chains and the link between her and the youma that she was using to siphon its energy. However panic rose as she realized a moment after that Ama's attack was not just directed at the youma but of the whole area. In a split second she was gone, disappearing as the attack washed over the youma.

Valdis had transported herself back to the youma world in retreat, the wave Ama had sent off would have ended both the youma...and her. However she had bigger problems, the energy that she had taken was still coursing through her. It was painful, and she didn't know what to do with it. She looked at the marking on her palm...she needed him to tell her how to transfer the energy....cause she couldn't hold on to it.

As the monster is thrown aside it lets out a howl of rage and immediately springs to its feet. Looking at it's hand which was already visibly healing, if slowly is surrounded itself in force armor, but as it sees the chains around the creature it holds up its wrist and the long chains on its shackles shoot out and surround the creatures neck.

Then OniI directs all his force down and sits with a weight of a small car.

While the collective efforts of the heroes were beginning to lose hold with the heated fury of the demon weakening the chains gradually as they would alight orange and begin to buckle under intense heat. Being in the mere presence of the creature within ten feet would potentially cause first degree burns and sparks of fire would shoot out at random nearby directions.

The chain launched from Oni, with the heavy weight invokes the power of physics and science to cause the morphed creature to stagger and stumble to it's knee. It begins to fight it's way back up, with the Oni's chains quickly wearing down from heat and melting until...

A flash of silver light accented by yellow energy spirals from Amarissa's hand into the creature. The iris of the demon narrows as the eye itself widens at the blinding light. The spell that Amarissa had unleashed drew power from the land itself as blue streaks from the surroundings, presumably from the spirits Amarissa had briefly communed with, adding to the attack. It draws greater strength from the energy provided by Kaguya, blending the silver light with yellow, earthen energy.

The force of contact is incredible, releasing an immense surge of force that would blow every single character off their feet except for the heavy and already sitting Oni. An intense pulse of supernatural energy would cause blinding light to radiate for several hundred feet around, forcing eyes closed and obscuring anything happening within.

A silence would fill the air, and every single supernaturally detecting entity within the city of Tokyo would feel a surge of supernatural activity in the direction of Ueno.

The light would fade moments later, leaving Amarassia and to a lesser extent Kaguya would feel incredibly drained of their energy. The tense chains would give way to slack, as a figure falls forward into the ground unconscious. Long, brown shaggy hair and tattered priest attire would indicate that the original priest had been cleansed of the taint that had for so long and seemingly impossible to remove been present.

A floating, red crystal would hang in the air, a perfectly cut diamond-like red stone. Around it, a translucent image of a muscular man with dark skin would be manifest. The man would be tall and overpowering looking wearing only a pair of brown sandals and red trousers. His upper chest was bare and covered in red tattoos, with a string of beads around his neck resembling prayer beads. A long white beard would go down his face, as the spirit's eyes would be closed.

"...How long I have waited to be released from the hatred of Beryl's deceptions...only far too late did I ever realize the truth..."[/b] the spirit says with a deep, regal voice. He looks at the unconscious man on the ground with regret in his eyes.

"Extend my apologies to my most recent host when he awakes..." the man says calmly, lingering for a moment for any potential questions or inquiries.

Rei blinks, dumbfounded by what she had seen and unfolding over the course of this battle. Valdis disappearing abruptly concerned her, but the energy that had been extended along with the wound she had suffered and the exertions of the day with her already low reserve of energy would compel her to fall to her knees and then faint.

The silent Gemini, whom had been observing and not interfering the entire time disappears, having noted Valdis' disappearance and the end of the conflict here, taking what was observed to heart for future purposes.

Horrible, hot burning. Sophia finally let’s go of the chain once Ama’s arrow hits. Her hands are extremely red and still burn even when they are free of the source of heat. Everything hurts though. She stares at the man in the tattered priest clothes in a daze as her adrenaline subsides. Oh, they solved the problem. Yay team. She sits on the ground, not wanting to move at all, as she tries to process what the passing spirit has to say.

“Oh. Yeah. We will. Who exactly are you if you don’t mind me asking? And what is that red diamond thing?” Sophia asks. “Someone should maybe grab it. Looks like it might be dangerous. I can’t really do it myself,” she says, holding up her deep red hands.

Kail feeling massively lightheaded tries to keep his balance after the massive attack that Amarissa and Kaguya unleashed on to the massive Youma. He slaps himself slightly to get his senses going again so he could think clearly. This fight was on equal terms of Scorpio but at the same time this thing had taken less time for its powers to get this strong. His eyes look down at the fallen priest and a sense of pity was in the redhead's mind. He also took stock of what happened, Sophia was badly hurt and he hoped that some of these injuries would not turn into battle scars. His eyes flicked over to Kaguya and Amarissa, perhaps out of all of the senshi so far. They had the most raw power out of all of them. But knew that this had drained them all. The next thing that got his attention was the floating crystal and the ethereal being within it.

His ears perk up to what Sophia said about the crystal and walks over to it. "What do you mean by that...and who are you exactly. I cant at least tell that you were a priest or at least a sage" Kail asked having a very respectful tone to this person. Since both sides were worn out from the battle that had ensued. His blood was no longer singing and now was replaced with a dull pain in his body. Soreness and several massive battles back to back were taking a toll on him as well.

The red beast gets back onto its feet and looks around. As it does it sees the gem, it's first instinct was the eat the rock it seemed...wrong, and Oni had long since learned the best way to deal with a wrong thing was to eat it, but as Sophia holds up her hands Oni's eyes fix on her...there was a vague sense he knew this one...and instead of dealing with the rock Oni dragged his regeneratings, but still useless arms over to her and examined her hands like a beast inspecting something strange.

Then he opened his mouth and licked her hands where the woulds had been making a strange sounds as he did so. As he does this Oni's arms stop regenerating and he seems to lick away several of the more serious burns. It wasn't very powerful healing, in fact compared to what the senshi who could heal could do it was downright weak. Only particularly bad injuries were healed, and only to the point that they were no longer severe. In addition as he does this it becomes clear that Oni's own defenses, strength and regeneration were not working as he did this.

After the burns had been reduced to mostly first and second degree burns Oni stops and his arms begin regenerating again as he looks around again,though when/if he sees Valdis he will give a subaudible growl.

Amarissa looked up from her position, kneeling on the ground and still holding her makeshift splinted arm. She looked exhausted but she smiled slightly when she saw the priest had returned. It was good to know that it was possible to save some of the Covenant tainted people, even if it took this much energy to do. Perhaps if there was a way for her to practice, she could get better at it and it wouldn't cost so much.

She heard Sophia mention grabbing the crystal and hold up her hands. They were pretty bad, the injuries in this battle were much more than usual and she had a feeling the crystal had something to do with it. She listens quietly to the spirit. "I'm glad that we could free you and I hope you can rest now," she says quietly. The Moon Senshi struggles to her feet, and using her uninjured hand, reaches forward to collect the crystal, holding it carefully against her chest.

The spirit looks about at the assembly and chuckles just a little. His oaken like body twists about as he takes account of the grouping around them, before his eyes shift to the Priestess on the ground. His large hand makes a gesture to her before looking at the guardians assembled.

"One of ya might want to take care of the Hino daughter...her grandfather wouldn't rest well if she bled out and joined him in the afterlife this early. The old man would give me too much grief having been my host when I was corrupted for far too long.."

He turns to Sophia at the question of who he was and grins faintly.

"I am Malef, former King of Volcanus during the Golden Era, possibly known to your lot as Elysion. I was one of the lesser kings whom served under Jadeite while he held domain over the East. My realm was a cluster of islands that have long since sunken into the Pacific ocean north north-east of what you call Hawaii. In fact Hawaii was one of our military bases with the Irujin Monastery.

Our people were proud warriors whom mastered the flame and tamed the great Volcano for our capital showing our burning spirit would defy and control our destiny. Legendary metalworkers served under me creating some of the greatest works of the time such as the Serpent's Wrath blade that one possesses.." he says, gesturing toward Yinko. He could sense that the weapon he picked up from Scorpio's death was still on his possession within his 'pocket space' that the senshi often conjured their weapons from.

"That one was Jadeite's personal weapon kid, a masterpiece if any ever was made by Hirana Jkalven. I assume that you freed him from his madness if you took that piece." he says as his expression turns more somber.

"Jadeite was a benevolent ruler, he left us to our ways and we supported him whenever he asked it. It's a damned shame that 'Earth Senshi' corrupted his soul, along with mine and my people's..."

Sophia isn’t entirely sure what to do when Oni starts inspecting her hands. She’s patient despite the fear that he might have developed a taste for human flesh. However, the lick is ticklish and unexpected, and she laughs a little. It was an odd way to heal injuries, but Sophia wasn’t about to complain. She bows deeply, saying “Thank you, Oni. For this and helping out.” She looks a little concerned by the fact that he momentarily stops regenerating, but as he stops, it seems to resume. “Will you be alright?” she asks. She’s not sure what kind of answer she would get considering Oni couldn’t really talk.

The spirit brings up tending to people, and Sophia remembers to jump into action. OK. First, Rei. Can you move it fine?” Next, Rei, she kneels over her side to embrace her and heal her injuries. Rei didn’t seem too bad though. “Can someone carry her inside?”

Looking over to David, she asks, “A sword? What does it do?” She didn’t realize David had anything other than the sword from Venus.

Turning her attention back to Malef, she asks, “Earth senshi? Like the past one? Why? What happened back
then?”

As he continues to regenerate Oni sits down and looks around. When Sophia asks him if he is okay he looks at her and tilts his head in a gesture of confusion. However after seeing her concern over the Moon Knight he ambles over and picks her up. His eyes don't seem to carry the aggression or hatred that everyone had seen contained within them to this point. He took several sniffs into the air, but he couldn't seem to locate any youma scents and was henceforth at a loss for what to do.

"Grah" He grunts and begins to carry her towards the shrine. The large red knight moving with a surprising amount of care. Though the shackles on his hands would still make this a less comfortable ride.
