Valdis sighed as she looked around; she looked oddly out of place here in a miko outfit and youma walking around. None were attacking...that was a positive....how ever with all this energy oppressing everything it was a wonder they managed to walk around in the first place. Her violet eyes looked at the ruins...she wondered if they had ever been anything once. While she highly doubted they were just built randomly they certainly were left to decay on their own.

Shrugging she took a step forward on a randomly chosen path, if she was here might as well try to go satisfy some curiosity. As she walked she began to hum to herself, a hauntingly creepy melody running across the ruined landscape.

"A little far from home, aren't ya?" a gruff, male voice says from Vadis' left. When she turns and looks into a lifeless and leafless tree, she will see a male dressed in all black sitting there. His face was covered with a skull mask, with red and white streaked hair flowing out the back. In his hand, he held a black and white revolver with gold trim along the side of it. He sits leaning against the back of the tree, his face in the direction of his foot as he bobbed the gun up and down on his thigh.

Before Valdis would say anything, he instantly faced the gun towards her and fired. Deep within Valdis' soul, she would feel an immense threat from that weapon: that if she was hit with it at all, she would die.

Valdis turned her attention towards the tree when the man spoke; she could sense he was a high level youma. Possibly Zodiac range, but then again she didn't quite know where she was at the moment. Her features remained cool as she wordlessly stared at the man, taking in his features. So far none of the other youma attacked, but then again it was better not to let ones guard down. Especially because there was a chance that the reason the youma weren't attacking could be the presence of this man. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end as she felt a spike of power. Instincts took over before the shot was even triggered as she dove and rolled out of the way just as the shot hit where she had been standing.
She blinked and looked back at the spot where the shot had hit. A scowl forming on her face; that would have one shotted her had it hit...that would have been highly inconvenient. With huff she stood back to her feet and brushed off her outfit before directing a nasty glare at the redheaded man. That had just been downright rude, so her only answer to his previous statement was too calmly flip him the bird before going on her merry way down the path she was on.

The man smirked, as he witnessed Valdis duck the shot. He spins the gun around in his hand as he looks at where her feet were, estimating their position plus where they would land in evasive action, and fires a shot at her right leg, where he estimates her left leg would go after the first shot would make Valdis react, followed by a second shot at her right foot.

"New arrivals must dance for the residents." he says with a gruff humor, content to stay in his perch taking potshots at Valdis, but having no obvious desire to outright kill her.

Valdis eyes slightly widened as she was forced to do a dance, her feet leaving the ground almost as fast as they touched. With a dancers grace she dodged; a sigh escaped Valdis...this was highly annoying. Instead of running away as most would be expected to do, she ran forward ready to dodge at a moment's notice. Her eyes glowed slightly as a sudden burst of purple flames would appear around his gunned hand. Not enough to burn it off...just enough to sting a little and hopefully drop the damn weapon. Her eyes were narrowed at the red head with a nasty glare.
"Would you stop that"
..The glare only lasted for a moment before she sighed her facial features returning to its bored mask.

"Actually I probably would have done the same thing if I was on the other end...so now that I have danced how about a tour for the new resident hm?"

She fluttered her eyelashes with a small lopsided grin.

The fires that appear around his hand have no visible effect, fading from sight nearly as quickly as they had appeared: this was a more powerful entity than Valdis to be able to simply erase the presence of energy that the purple haired one had imposed upon it. The figure chuckles, bending his arm back and tapping the barrel of the gun along the shoulder three times before willing his weapon away.

He lazily slides out of the tree and walks toward Valdis, discerning yellow eyes stare through the holes of the mask, taking in every inch of her: body, posture, stance, expression, apparel: these things all indicated minor aspects of personality that are not quite so simple to discern to many people. He crosses his arms under his chest, showing no concern or threat from Valdis as he chuckled.

"A sense of humor. I like that. What's your story then if you're a new resident? You look like the silver spoon type: not the usual ones that join the fold. Unless you're the type that has daddy issues of some sort, in which case you might wanna try to run while you think you have a prayer of doing so." he says with a raspy laugh, observing Valdis to judge her reaction.

Probably didn't hurt the man one bit but it had the desired effect of him to stop shooting at her damn feet. She couldn't help but be amused about the mask; Nazo's mask was defiantly creepier mainly due to the whole grim reaper snuggie with it. However the yellow eyes provided just the right amount of creep factor. When he spoke she couldn't help but scrunch up her nose at the mention of Daddy issues.

"If I had Daddy issues I would bring the issues directly to him, and not run off willy nilly. Honestly I'm not twelve.....As for my story simply put I'm not a part of this fold you speak of... I have authority issues and dislike the thought of being lumped in with the other idiots I've seen running about. My powers are naturally born not given so I don't see how this silver spoon thing would have anything to do with it."

Valdis looked around; still curious to learn more about this place.

"I got sent here once by Scorpio; I'm curious to learn more about it. So I'm here now."

"Heh." the gruff laugh emits as Valdis mentioned she had authority issues and that she didn't want to be 'lumped in with the other idiots'. She seemed to be highly unaware of just the situation she was in. A feast for the initiates: she could be subjected to horrors that human language and comprehension lack terms for. With a gruff shrug, he listens to what Valdis said, simply the fact that Scoprio sending her here had made her want to come here.

"Scorpio eh? Ya know, he ain't doing so well these days. Virgo's pretty pissed about the whole thing, since Scorpio sucked up a lot of juice only to die. If anything, his death is far more merciful than any scenario that involves him surviving." he states while tipping his hat down over his eyes.

"And then you say ya been here before? Heh. You're a brave one...if Virgo caught you, that pretty little face of yours would be torn beyond recognition. Or maybe you'd be turned into a meat puppet like her boyfriend." he states with a dark chuckle, as he then glanced around. A few hungry youma were staring at Valdis: while Valdis had some dark power to her, she also had enough of a human side to be quite the delicacy.

"You better hope you can hold your own if you want to stay here. It's a dog eat dog world here, especially someone who has some positive energy to them like you still." he says, taking a step back as a green, feminine form approaches. Her body was covered in stone armor while she had a three pointed polearm. Her other arm was bare, with a number of white circles on it which seemed to be glyphs of some sort.

With a roar, the woman steps back while the skull masked man seemed content to also walk to the side. It was time for Valdis to prove herself, as the youma woman frenzied by hunger launches her bladed weapon at Valdis, intent on skewering the pop star.

"Well then I suppose you should retract your previous statement about him; it seems he's doing a lot better of these days if that was the case."

She gave him a sweet innocent smile; her facial expression was set in a mask of amusement when the man mentioned that her pretty little face would have been torn beyond recognition if someone else where to have found her.

"Well I will count my blessings I just ran into a mad man who preferred to see me dance rather than tear my face up"

She maintained her cool expression as she leaned her weight to one foot. Her arms were crossed across her chest and she stared boredly at the Youma who were gathering. Valdis centered her weight ever so slightly when the man basically gave the go ahead to one of the Youma to have her go at her. The corners of her lips twitched up lightly in a ghost of a smile. This would be her first one on one fight with a youma; one that wasn't a Zodiac. She waited silently; the other youma would have to make the first move. An action Valdis knew would happen sooner rather than later; after all hunger had a knack for removing ones patients. She calmly let her arms fall to the side as the Youma ran at her; at the last moment she shifted her weight and turned her body to the side as the trident whizzed past her. Her arm latched and she gripped the womans wrist and pulled her forward. Her other arm rose up and she shoved her palm into the womans face. Fire would erupt inside the woman's open mouth shooting the inferno down into the womans lungs.

On the surface it would seem Valdis had simply shoved her hand into the womans nose a basic martial arts move. But on the inside her flames would be wreaking havoc. It was a subltle less showey way of bringing down a youma, but the mystery was another move on Valdis's part. More of a show for the others that were gathering around...after all fear stemmed from the un known. A dark smile spread across Valdis face; she lived in the world of politics and entertainment. A dog eat dog world was no stranger to her.

"Now is that any way to treat a guest"

"So you got a little fight in ya." the masked man says with his arms crossed as he leaned under a tree and lazily looked at where Valdis had smashed the youma and ignited her insides on fire. The youma would meanwhile begin to flail and clench her throat, rolling about any obvious way of relieving the pain that she was going through right now. Having suffered heavy internal damage, the youma crumples to the ground, the monstrous appearance fading to a humanized one wearing the cultist outfit of the Covenant of the Nihil. She lay unmoving, while the skull masked one looks at Valdis.

"When a cultist reaches this level of their personal evolution, they spend most of their time here, adapting to their new bodies and learning how to feed off the shadow...that one was clearly unworthy." he says with a slightly dark, amused chuckle. The crowd of youma meanwhile seems more intimidated by Valdis now until the sound of heavy steps and the ground trembling would get attention.

A ten foot giant would tower over Valdis, the body made of stone. Four arms would reach out while a three eyed face tracked Valdis' movement. Toothy teeth smile arrogantly, as the monstrous being raises it's four fists up to smash Valdis where she stood, though in the likely even Valdis evaded the powerful yet lumbering attack, the ground would shake and tremble causing a number of youma and likely Valdis herself to struggle to maintain her footing.

"Maybe a little"

She looked down at the squirming mess on the ground; her head shaking in disappointment. How ever her eyebrow quirked up in interest.

"Feed off the shadow?"

Her attention turned towards the lumbering rock head who was coming towards her; well she supposed that rock armor would give one a false sense of security. As the hands descended she jumped back; hopping a few times as she was slightly thrown off balance. She regained it quickly and darted over to the nearby tree. Using it to kick off and launch herself into the air. She grabbed hold of an over head branch and swung up on to her feet. She skipped along the branch and jumped, landing right on rock heads shoulders. With three fingers she stabbed him in the eyes; she was sure the fool would use that same fist attack to try to crush her on his back....she would fall back and evade and let the fools own strength bring him down.

When Valdis lunged at the rock creature from above, landed on his shoulders, and then tried to blind him, the creature flailed forward, while the stones begin to heat up rapidly, approaching a nearly magma like state. Valdis would likely be at least mildly burned before she decides to leave the creature, at which point the monster's rock body had shifted from a more earthy brown to a heated magma-like red. Lava begins to seep from it's body creating a steadily growing puddle around the monster, which causes the other youma to hop back to avoid it.

With an angry roar, the magma monster lunges it's arms forward, propelling a magical steam of magma forward at where Valdis would land, two beams with a two foot diameter each of fiery death surge forth, melting anything it comes in contact with. A youma behind Valdis would be vaporized and consumed in the lava, chippering pain and howling comes.

Valdis felt the creature begin to heat up, she jumped back rather quickly and surprised by the sudden change….that certainly was going to be more difficult to deal with. Especially with her skill set…if it had been fleshy she could poison it. If it was rock form consistently she could have super heated it. However if it was already adapted to its less solid state then that option was definitely out the window. Valdis did not have much time to think before an attack was launched at her. She dove to the side and rolled out of the oncoming attack and was back up on her feet quicker than two shakes of a lamb tail.

Right now her biggest advantage would be her speed; and to keep on the move. She glanced around; it was too bad that mans guns had disappear…it would have been useful to snag one. But perhaps he could be useful as a human shield. She dashed back into his general area all while never letting her eyes leave the beast. Her initial assessment wasn’t completely true, he was still solid for the most part…however maybe if the heat was notched up a bit he would be completely liquefied.

Visible this time she sent a large wave of concentrated fire towards the large beasts head. If it didn't work oh well, she would need a new plan. However her back up plan was the ijit would miss and hit mr masked man. Maybe mr masked man would have a short fuse and shoot him for her.

When Valdis attempted to put the man with a skull in the line of fire, he makes no obvious reaction. Perhaps he didn't notice, didn't care, or had another motive in mind. When the creature's second beam attack is launched and flies in the direction of the masked man, the man snaps his fingers as the dead bodies of the youma that Valdis killed and the vaporized one appear in front of him, animating and standing up reinforced to server as a shield. When the beam attack finishes, they land on the ground and begin to crawl about mindlessly, almost zombie-like.

The large rock youma meanwhile finds it's eyes burned and seared mildly, but due to the nature of what the creature was it able to maintain half it's eyesight forward. It's stamina otherwise was still intact as it begins to stomp the ground, causing the magma to fall in the cracks. The cracks begin to spread out, several growing under Valdis where magma would begin to bubble and then spike up from below, searing Valdis unless she moved.

Valdis watched as her human shield deployed the same idea with the reanimated corpses of the Youmas before. Vadis saw the cracks coming towards her she hopped up and placed her hands on her would be shields shoulders, performing a handstand that swung her over his head. She looked down at him with a grin, her violet eyes turning maroon, and purple markings forming on her face. As she swung over his head she transformed into her youma form. Something she had wanted to avoid but it would seem this would be a necessity. She spun around in mid air and landed on her feet in front of the masked man, grabbing both the zombie like Youma and using her increased strength to hurl them both at the monster.

"ZOMBIE MISSLE!"

She laughed manically; finding a little too much amusement out of the zombie missile. But she figured two birds with one stone with that attack. After all she was more than sure if she did somehow finish off the rock youma she would have to deal with the Zombies after. Valdis did however notice big and ugly was low moving. So she began to dash around him in circles. Her speed increased creating a wind tunnel around the rock monster, purple flames ignited around her. Combined with her circular movement the flames arched up in a firey cyclone. In the middle the magma monster would be trapped in a vacuum. Depriving it of the oxygen it needed to burn.
