"In the long run can save money like that server network right over there. Someone was going to throw it out. So I took sometime and repaired it and upgraded it. And it works like new.....but yes this thing" said Ashley as he had a hardy laugh on Taika's response on getting rid of Rishijo's body. He then looks down on the crystal "Let me rephrase something from earlier. There was a Class Five Covenant that attacked the city yesterday. One of the people that was in the combat zone was a MP Lieutenant Kurio Saeki. He grabbed this up before Pinkypie's tin cans collected everything. From what the Lieutenant saw on these things. Was that they were made from a byproduct of the Sailor Senshi's purifiying attacks. That's more then likely why that these things burn away the taint from mutated from Covenant Energy" he said and thought on it more and his mind was thinking on something.

"Which means that this stuff here can esscentialy be used to harm the Covenant. And in theory we could grow these crystals. I would need a Covenant sample though to test this....though. Anyway since we have a bigger piece of this now. I think we could try a better chemical anlaisis with a larger sample. Also I have something else to show you" said Ashley as he goes back to the safe to get something else. And then sets it down on the table, this item looked like a pair of night vision or infrared goggles with some added wires. "I would like you to take a look at this Taika" he said and then looks up at her.

"Awhile back I had been working on something that could detect or make us see electrical energy. To repair electronics a bit easier, although one day I fiddled with the settings. To my surprise I was able to see bio electrical fields that all creatures emit from there bodies. Although after that brief second though the goggles short circuited and I took them off equickly. But after getting that Journal from Dr.Tanaka it helped me a great deal. So now this works, I am dubbing it the Aura Scanner" he said with a very confident grin on his face.

The mention of a Class 5 knocks Taika out of her trance about the crystals. “Class 5, which one? Aren’t we supposed to do a mass evacuation when something like that happens? Why would something that big just get swept under the rug? I mean, I’d like if someone in the office warned me about such a thing.”

She ponders the idea of purification attack. “Sailor senshi, eh? Do you think they realize that they can mass produce such a useful substance? Hmmm… would be useful if we could talk to one of them. Get them to donate some tissue or blood to science. Or be able to record changes as they perform such an attack. Actually, there’s about a million experiments I’d ask them to participate in.”

“I doubt they’re human either though. Homo nautae? Homo fortis? Homo caelestis? Actually, Homo caelestis sounds pretty good.”

She nods in agreement to further research, “Chemical analysis, sure. I can probably start animal trials as soon as we can replicate the stuff for some in vivo testing. I can grow more of Wiggly’s cells and implant it in some rats or something. Then use the crystals to see what happens. Also, run some controls. Then, we’d have some idea if we’re accidently killing ourselves. I’d like to move up the animal trials after that, but getting something like monkeys would be difficult. And getting enough humans for a good trial would be impossible. There’s no way we can get enough participants. And getting a covenant member seems difficult. And we don’t exactly have a good housing facility for any of those sorts of things.”

She tries on the infared goggles, “Now, I’m almost looking forward to an emergency to give this a test run.”

"I don't know the details myself but it was a class 5. I am not sure why it was pushed under the rug, its turning into a conspiracy theory or plot in my head right now. And I don't want to deal with that at all" said Ashley as he was rubbing the bridge of his nose. Since he had a few in his mind and none of them were pretty. As in a lot of them had the director selling them out for his own personal greed of some sort. But then his focus switches to the Sailor Senshi when Taika brought them up again and her thoughts on them. Although had to facepalm when she said they were not human at all. They were still human and just had enhanced powers from somesort of power source.

I doubt they know that there making these crystals. They want to defeat the Covenant and then get away from the military or the media. Both are quite equally an enemy they can not fight. Although I do agree that one of these days we do need to talk to them. Also Taika....your starting to sound like the director a bit. Although that Psychopath wants to dissect them and do other macabre things to them. It sickens me that he would want to go that far even if he was joking" said Ashley as he still had some moral core to himself. Although it would tend to turn off on the subject of the Covenant.

"I am very weary on that stuff so be careful when messing around on genetics. Would it be probable that you could accidently make a monster if something went wrong" he said and then saw Taika put the goggles on and he went over and turn them on. "Just be careful on what you see" he said and then things got a bit weird. Taika would start to see a lot of different colors with the goggles. The computers and other electronic devices were a vibrant electric blue aura. If she saw Ashley he would be giving off a slight green color. As well as several small things scurrying in the wall. But the thing that got the most attention would be the white brilliant light coming off of the crystal.

"Anyway...the blue is electrical energy, so far green energy is the energy that living creatures give off. The white though it seems is the energy aura of crystal here. I need to test this on the Covenant and Sailor Senshi and there Knights. To see what there aura's give off...more then likely the Covenant will show up black or something like that" said Ashley as he again still had that smile on his face on what he had accomplished.

Taika looks insulted at the comparison to the director. “Yes. The director and I have similar specialties, so it’s no surprise that we both want to study them. However, despite them probably being non-human, I’d at least get informed consent first! Seeing as our species depends on theirs for continued survival, and I like living, they are worthy of respect, perhaps even more than we’d give to a member of our own species. In addition, they seem to possess free will and autonomy unlike most of the Covenant members. And that’s about one of the few things I find sacred if that makes any sense at all.” Talking about morality always made Taika realized that hers was a bit skewed. However, thinking any other way made less sense to her.

“However… if they were willing to give their full cooperation on a project, we can develop similar technologies based on that power. Or change ourselves to be able to do similar kinds of things.”

She raises an eyebrow when he talks about being wary about genetics and creating monsters. “Humanity has always messed with genetics. It’s our favorite pastime. We use tons of lower species for our survival and control their evolution based on what we desire from them. I mean, just look at the wealth of dog breeds. It’s just the fact that we now do it in a lab over the course of one generation instead of selective breeding over multiple generations that makes people feel weird. But the fact that we have greater control now over genetics than we did in the past should make you rest a little easier.”

As Ash turns on the color, a smile crosses her face. The concept was a pretty interesting one to say the least. “Hmmm… if it works, it’s got some pretty good applications.” She takes them off after looking at the hue of just about everything in the workshop. She laughs when he says black, “So cliché… Are you sure they will still all be the same color though? The different classes are a bit different in terms of physiology.”

"Sorry, its that I find that man really disturbing when he starts getting into dissecting something. It just gives me the damn chills, but I know that the two of you are vastly different. And Taika.....I think that the Sailor Senshi are not with the Covenant. I mean as I said there power out right destroyed a Covenant and wiped away the corruption it had. I think.....that there more like a super sentai group. But if we want to go down your line of thinking of them as a new form of man. There powers might be a massive adverse reaction to the covenant and mutated powers to counter act them. As in,they became there predators. There still a Pandora's box of questions and answers" said Ashley as he did look sorry on that jab on the comparison. He then ponders on the genetics and agreed that it came a long way since back in the day. But there was still some concern if the creation could not be controlled.

Ashley then hears Taika laughing about his scanner "Well its just a guess, I have not done any field testing yet. So the black color was, yeah a clichéd guess. But the most likely thing to happen with the scanner" he said and then raised his eyebrow at other applications. "Well what would you think other application might be? I am already thinking of a warning system. Although I would be interested in what your thoguhts are" he said to her while going over to the journal and flipping through a few pages.

She shakes her head when he tries to reassure her that they weren’t with the Covenant. “No, I didn’t think they had much to do with the Covenant. I thought maybe they could have been part of a private company or foreign government. However, their sponsor would have tried to reach out to the Japanese government or public by now.”

“Still, them being the next species on the lineage of human evolution seems odd. It’s a radical change in a single generation,” she sighs. “Yeah. Agreed that it’s just a ton of questions. However, I definitely said before, Pandora had a jar, not a box.”

She keeps her eye on the scanner, “Yeah, I was mostly thinking about alarm systems. You could stick them on people or get a program to analyze hues for them and put them near places that we are worried about the Covenant targeting or infiltrating. Really, anyone in a position of a lot influence should probably get scanned.”

“Hey, how do you think tin can brigade would look under it?” she wonders.

"Anyway.....the tin cans...not sure. I could bring this into the lab, but I would like to do some field testing. That way, I might not get flack from pinky pie and get it thrown out. Plus if this works we might get back our funding. While I was flipping through that book I found an interesting note on something. Its some kind of anti- covenant energy material, I am not sure how it protects from energy. As...some of this guys later notes were coded, I have been off and on trying to get his code broken. And I have been able to get through it. But some of the finer things are evading me" said Ashley as he went over to the journal that Doctor Tanaka gave him. He also takes a look at the crystal and he went into a more reflective pose. As he was trying put something together.

"If I could find something major with this crystal that could be applied for a weapon. I am going to take one day and lock myself in my lab at the base until I can find something" he said looking every much on edge on the subject.

Taika takes the journal and flips through it. As she sees the complex equations, she suppresses a groan. Too complicated for her. “I still don’t understand most of the stuff in here. Yeah, it’s got a better home with you.”

She raises an eyebrow as he mentions code. “Like he tried to keep his work a secret? Why would he feel the need to do that? What would he have to worry about?” She opens the book back up the beginning and flips through again to see what he's talking about. “I’m guessing you’ve tried most traditional ciphers… Maybe we should talk to Dr. Tanaka again. It’s possible that he left him a key, but Dr. Tanaka didn’t realize what it was at the time.”

Her gaze is directed to the crystals as he begins speaking about them again. “Well, we already know they have some kind of effect on corrupted organisms. We can try that reaction again next to some of Wiggy’s tissue, and see what happens. We’ll have a good idea then if it can be made into a weapon.”

Closing the book again, she hands it back to Ash. "Work for another evening, I guess."
