A figure in the shadows smiles darkly from a room far away from where the gardens was. An orb of purple energy in his hand projecting an image of what was happening in the garden from far away, he chuckled at how David was being so blatant about who he was and his own involvement. Every twitch, gesture, facial expression, movement was analyzed in real time. The conversation was interesting: the vigilante saying the government had to get involved, and the President being cautious and not simply jumping into his arms and shouting 'take me to freedom you strong man you'.
"...Well then...he really thinks that cooperation can happen does he? It's time to shatter his illusion..."[/color] he says in the darkness as he notices that David's brainwaves were changing, as if he were invoking some ability. This must be the power that killed Scorpio...
As the first man in black stops from the mental invasion David had started, David would feel a foreign presence in the area. When he likely looked around for it, he wouldn't see a body, and the presence would seemingly come from every direction. An immense amount of psychic energy would be in the air, as it seemed to fixate on a point in David's temple. The foreign energy surges into his body for a moment, long enough to make him feel incredibly nauseated and for his body to spasm slightly from nerves being overloaded, before it then forms itself as a mass of energy on David's forehead...accumulating and then launching at the Man in a Black Suit that David had originally set his sighs on...
Meanwhile feelings of superiority and arrogance would begin to run through David's mind, whether he embraces them or rejects them is the other question..
As the bolt strikes the man in black, he falls over stunned and howling in pain, while the other one grasps his gun and stands between Ito and David, aiming at David. However a visible line of energy would remain between David and the downed man in black who appeared to be alive, but another burst of energy was forming...
"CEASE AND DESIST." he says, while Ito turns and looks at David with eyes filled with surprise, shock, and a tinge of horror. The President steps in between the downed man and David, glaring at him.
"So you decide to attack us when you decide you aren't going to get your way? This man has a family, do you think killing him would solve anything?" he says taking a reckless move. The man with a gun shouts at Ito.
"Sir, please leave the area!" he says, hesitating to open fire due to the President being in danger. The man in black begins to move between Ito and David, but the bolt of energy preparing for the second strike is about to fire...

The pressure in his mind clouded nearly all thought, until it was too late. Convulsing and gripping at his head, David's eyes snapped open in surprise, watching the man crumple to the ground, writhing in agony. His face did not pull into a smile, even as much as Yinko would have liked. A man was dying at some other's hand, and using him as a conduit. It was a sadistic game, but it would have been foolish to expect the Covenant wouldn't use such a tactic.
Even with the sense of superiority coursing through his mind, churning into all sorts of... thoughts... Yinko kenw his limitations. If anything, the arrogance infuriated that he was simply a hammer in someone's hand to drive down the opposition like nails in Japan's coffin. He was so much more than just a tool, just a weapon to be used by senshi or youma alike. He was Yinko, the Wraith of Barton, a butcher.
"If I were-" he started, wincing at his headache. "If I were doing this... Why would I waste so much energy?" He snarled, clenching his fists, watching Ito, calculating all the different ways he could kill the man. It didn't matter anymore, the negotiating, the posturing. If the bodyguard shot him, his chances of getting out were cut significantly. "Your bodyguards are useless... I could snipe them from 200 yards away easy, or just as easily rig your limo to explode. Why would I get up and personal, and use a wasteful technique like this, where it's so blatantly obvious who it is? The point of assassination is to spread fear and confusion, not an open and shut case!"
It didn't matter anymore, he thought, as he fell to the ground, his feet weakening as his muscles clenched and released, clenched and released.

When David fell to the ground, Ito narrowed his eyes and looked at his still healthy bodyguard.
"Let's get him out of here...he overexerted himself or something, saving his life is the priority." he says as he and the bodyguard work together to carry out the wounded man. David would know obviously that he would have a very short window within which to make any kind of an escape before he ends up killed or captured.
Meanwhile, the dark sensations within David began to fade, but visions of his times in the camps came about. The neural sensation of every pain he ever felt began to assail him: some at the same time, others in sequence. The feelings of superiority, of being better than the others was back.
...a voice begins to whisper.
"See? A killer inside and out...your arrogance would kill a national leader because you believe that your way is better. It is...you should kill him, rending every ounce of his guts out to see. Why would you hesitate? You've already crossed several lines, what is another?"
In the gardens, the main entrance is where Ito and the bodyguards retreated out of. The sounds of approaching sirens in the distance would indicate that it was highly likely a large response was en-route. A locked door leading to the property of the Imperial Palace was at the far end of the room, while a service entrance was to the left. Many exotic flora and plants of Japanese culture and other spots around the world would be throughout the garden.
There would also be a number of structures and shrines that would potentially make hiding spots, and may lead to other plumbing or other routes.

David did not move, not ever stir as the sirens approached. The pain continued, the wrenching, agonizing pain as he lay there, helpless. As his mind continued to feed on the arrogance and desire to put Ito in his place, the nagging, lingering realization of where he was, and what was about to happen, dwindled that.
He was passed out on the imperial grounds, police on the way, and the prime suspect of an assassination attempt.
"Get up!" a voice in the back of his mind chanted. "Get up!" It was Sophia's voice. Why was he thinking of her? Then he thought of the battle with Scorpio, and the first time he met the brunette, escaping from that alleyway in downtown. "What's wrong with you? Why are you doing this?"
Wheezing as he stumbled to one foot, then to the next, the sirens were clearly nearby, the squelch of tires against the pavement a dead giveaway. Starting to the nearest wall, David crouched in the dirt of the gardens, searching for a foothold, a tall enough tree, something. After a few seconds, he found what he was looking for, a tree just the right height and close enough to the wall. Starting to climb the nearest of the branches, he hefted his weight over the concrete structure, and staring down at the ground opposite the gardens, a good fifteen foot drop, he winched. This was going to hurt.
Rolling over the side, he tumbled, feet slamming into the sidewalk below, a jarring pain shooting through his legs, up to his chest. Turning, he spotted a landscaper dutifully watering and trimming the hedges along the sidewalk just ahead, a go-cart sized service truck with a utility trailer behind it parked, idling. Grunting, there was no time for David to waste. Yinko ditched his jacket, walked purposefully up to the man, and before he could react, rabbit punched him in the back of the neck. As he crumpled, David stripped off the man's light gray jacket, throwing it on, along with the matching baseball cap. He stuffed the man into the utility trailer, crawled into the service truck and started away.

The poor groundskeeper was simply doing his job, blissfully ignorant of the serious business inside the gardens. The man would be completely unaware of the hostile intent of the other man, conveniently turned away from David's approach until it was too late to stop it. He turned to see David pull his fist back but ends up getting knocked down and out just the same.
The voice inside David's head would chuckle.
"Yes...this one means nothing compared to you! You should purge his kind from the Earth! These type of people have no purpose, no meaningful reason to continue their existence compared to the powers that you have, the powers that you can wield. All it would take is a little push, and that brain would melt into ooze!"
The service truck would unfortunately have a maximum speed of 45 MPH, due to various government policies on short distance work vehicles and safety concerns on the icy terrain along with an incident several years ago where a negligent worker ran down an elderly man when his 60MPH vehicle slipped on some black ice and erratically took out the soul on the sidewalk.
David would see five large squads of heavily armed men begin to sweep the gardens and the area around it. They were fully decked out with rifles, snipers, and computer analytical software embedded in their helms along with night and heat vision capabilities. An ambulance would begin to load the unfortunate bodyguard who was the victim of the attack that used David's body as a conduit, while Ito was surrounded by military officials and medics making sure there was no further complication.
When David made to leave in the service truck, an armed soldier who was containing the perimeter would hold his hand out motioning for him to stop. The lack of a raised weapon however indicated that there was no alarm quite yet.

Nodding, trying to keep his face hidden under the brim of the baseball cap, David brought the cart to a stop, and waited. He would keep quiet, trying to play the role of the timid foreigner working the menial job, and maybe, maybe he could get out without a bloodbath.

The soldier approaches the cab of the vehicle that David was driving and looks in at him. He taps the window waiting for the window to come down, while the soldier looks in with scrutiny.
"Evening. I need to inspect the vehicle for a wanted criminal. Please comply as I inspect the rear hatch." he says, after giving the cab a once over search and not noticing Yinko to the description that was quickly scrambled together by the military in response to the unwitting attack that Yinko had launched upon the bodyguard.
As the soldier began to go around the back to inspect the cargo of the vehicle for a stowaway, Yinko would be left with a number of options of what to do from this point forward, while the soldier would gradually spend the next minute rapidly looking through anything human sized for signs of a stowaway. The soldier was trying to filter out any other state personnel from the crime scene.

Rolling the window down, David tried to understand what the man was saying. His Japanese wasn't up to par, but he knew the gist of it. They had to inspect the rig, and when they did, of course, they would find a man stripped to his underwear in the back of the utility bed.
Trying not to show a frown or any facial expression, David nodded, stepped out of the vehicle, and stood a respectable distance from it as the soldiers did their work. Keeping the brim of his hat pulled just low enough to hide his eyes from the response team and the sunlight, Yinko's mind set to work on how to get out of this.
He knew, in the end, he would just have to feign ignorance, and hope they didn't ask for an employee badge.

When the man was found, the soldier radios it in, David would probably sense the approach of more soldiers. The first soldier comes back up with a rifle raised and then glares at David with full intent to kill.
"ON THE GROUND" he shouts, the rifle barrel aimed squarely at his chest and it would be nearly impossible to miss. More soldiers would stomp across the ice and snow, rifles raised. It would begin to look quite dire for the young man until...
David would feel a surge of warm energy flow through his body. If he could see a mirror or his reflection, he might notice a yellow crest of Venus on his forehead manifest briefly. The energy envelops his body, and the light begins to bend around him as David would literally disappear.
He was invisible.
The soldiers would look confused and begin to radio frantically that the 'Assassin has Disappeared'. And begin to fan out and search for the newly invisible David.
It might be a good time to escape.

Blinking, David looked down at his hands, clenching and releasing his fists. They were still there, as was the rest of him. Yet, as he turned, he noticed several of the soldiers, weapons raised, either didn't notice or didn't see him. Exhaling slowly, he thought he saw one react as the fog of his breath in the cold air manifested. If they couldn't see him, they could, he started to realize, see his impact on the surroundings.
Slowly, very slowly, David started stepping in the footprints of the men, walking backwards, working his way out of the snow-covered street. Each step was painfully slow, every fiber of Yinko's will forcing him to maintain silence.

While there would be a few close calls, including a rifle barrel ending up just a little too close to Yinko's head, he eventually finds himself able to get away from the scene, the cloak of invisibility fading once he was well away, even if he was completely exhausted at that point.
