"...My talents are Divination and Fortune Telling. I also receive visions when the fates deem it needed for me to be aware of something that is to happen. I had a vision that you would come here, and I used my fire readings to learn relevant information, which was mostly the battle against the monster yesterday. " Rei says with a gentle smile. "I am amused however. Do not ever presume yourself to know the full extent of what others can do. Enemy or friend." she says with a soft laugh not out of spite of arrogance, but amusement.
"As far as what I know, I know that there are those who have bonds with the planets. I don't know precisely who aligns with what, and really I don't need to until it becomes important for me to know it as such. I know you are among them, and if you are aiding them, then aiding you will be a way to do my part. Others can seek me out on their own volition if they feel the need." Rei says, closing her eyes and exhaling slightly.
"Of course, nothing in Shinto teachings could have prepared me for a situation like this, and this 'planetary guardian' thing is admittedly entirely new material for me." she says then going quiet for a few moments to allow Yinko to interject his own inquiries.

"Engaging the enemy in this way," David sighed, "is not something you expect to learn at Quantico." He thought about how clumsy things had gone with Scorpio, about how his role really wasn't well-defined, and how, even trying to take up the slack amongst others, nothing seemed to smoothly flow into a flexible operation. They had to be adaptable, agile, and simply put, he wasn't up to it yet.
As the discussion shifted to the representatives, symbols of the planets, Yinko felt something...strange. There was something this priestess wasn't sharing, something that she seemed to be hinting at, but she wouldn't bring up outright. He could pressure her for information, of course, and if need be, interrogate her. However, that wasn't going to get him what he wanted, and it would damage what little credibility he had already.
"No one knows what it's like to be the bad man," he muttered to himself. He had, indeed, been a darker knight than what Sophia expected, and not in the cool way that Hasselhoff portrayed. If he was going to be that nasty, to be that ruthless, there needed to be a change. He needed to bring something to the table the others couldn't. All-out enthusiasm, an "appreciation of the female body", and some tall, dark, and handsome bad boy with a troubled past routine weren't any of them. Those, of course, had already been covered by several other planetary representatives.
No, if Sophia was going to be the unofficial leader of the group, the one who made suggestions to support the team's efforts, that, David thought, made his role even more clear. He was going to be case officer, the operator in the black world, and a stronger psychic edge would give him that.
"When do we start?" he asked.

"Sometimes, you have to do what is needed to protect others, even if it's the hard thing or what some people would consider wrong." Rei says as the remark about how it's like to be the bad man. The hardest thing Rei ever had to do was to capture her friend whom had turned into a monster and keep him locked up behind hundreds of holy seals. There were likely those who would look down on her considering her position as a priestess for what she was forced to do then. She paused when David seemingly dove into his own head for some thought, before he snapped out of it and asked 'when do we start?'.
"Tomorrow." Rei says with a soft smile, standing up slowly. "You are exhausted right now past the point of proper focus along with injuries you will want to heal a little before you move forward. You may use the quarters down the hall on the right. It is a basic room for staff of the shrine whom live on the site. You will find your basic needs able to be fulfilled there, anything more you will have to provide on your own." she says softly as she went down the hall to the door in question, pulling a keyring out from the recesses of her robes and opening the previously locked room.
Within was a very basic, very Japanese quarters. A futon lay along a wall with a bookcase with several Japanese Shinto texts under a window. A drawer and a desk were along the wall, though both were empty. A lamp at the desk would provide some light. Beyond that, it was clear to tell that this room had been unused for quite awhile.

Nodding and bowing politely, David met Hino's eyes once again. "Thank you, for everything." As he turned, he paused again, seeing the trunk containing the rifle. There were a lot of things he was going to do, he thought, that weren't going to please Rei. She talked about doing what was necessary, but her hatred and disdain for him when he showed up... How would she take that when his true power was opened? Would he be anything more than an over-powered warlord?
Putting his few things away in the room, he studied the layout. It was simple, cozy, and most importantly, the futon's foot end faced the door along the outer wall, giving him the ability to observe anyone who came through the door, welcomed or not.
He was out before his head even touched the pillow.
