“Uggh!” Grunts a brown haired youth as he falls from a tree into the bushes below. After the crash a loud hiss can be heard he suddenly shout “Ow! That hurts you damn fur ball!” Taking the cat by the nape he holds it out away from himself so that it has a harder time clawing him. “Jeez, I’m not getting paid enough for this.” He grumbles sullenly and wraps the cat up in a cheap blanket.

“All set for transport.” He affirms to himself and heads out takes out his phone, dialing in a number. “Yeah I’ve got your cat, Come meet me at the ramen stand.” He instructs and heads towards the nearby ramen stand to wait for the meeting.

After about a half hour of waiting Lance exchanges the cat for some cash and cracks a small smile. “Looks like I’ll be able to make this month’s rent after all.” He says in a sigh of relief.

A cake from a high profile bakery in Ginza would be a wonderful surprise at a picnic. However, that would have cost a lot more money that what Sophia had available. The next best thing, however, would be a cake from a bakery that made very similar cakes at a cheaper cost in Shinjuku. She ended up getting a rather large raspberry chocolate torte cake, hoping it would be enough to feed everyone. And while it was pricey, she at least had some money left over.

The cake goes in the basket of the bicycle, and she starts to pedal off when the chain slips. She stops. That would be an issue for going home. Unfortunately, that meant the chain needed to be replaced, and she didn’t know anywhere in Shinjuku that could fix that problem. She normally went to a bike store in Minato for getting replacements. She sits next to the broken bike, trying to find someplace within walking distance on her phone.

As Lance is heading home he notices the girl with the broken bike chain,. Jeez I'm not good with damsels in distress. He reminds himself, but as he looks down at the cash he made he forces himself to reconsider It would be nice to eat something other than cup ramen... Letting out a sigh the odd jobs man walks over to the girl.

"Y-yo", putting on a strained smile he says "my name is Lance, I"m a local Odd Job man. It looks like you're having some trouble. For a small fee I can fix your problem." he says stiffly, giving her his reasonably well practiced pitch...did that sound a bit to sketchy? Well screw it he's not interested in some kid anyways.

Sophia looks up from her phone to see someone walking toward her. Possibly someone willing to help? She looks relieved at the prospect that someone might be able to fix the problem, so she could finally get home.

She looks a little deflated at the sound of a fee. However, evidently all things came with price tags, cake and help included. A good portion of her remaining money was going to fix the bike anyways though. Maybe her parents would take pity on her for her broken bike and give her some money when she returned home.

“Can you replace a bike chain? How much would that be?” she asks. She moves aside to actually let Lance see the problem.

As the girl seems to be willing to pay Lance's smile suddenly turns into a full business smile and he bends down to examine the bike, his facial expression turning to one of concentration and a slight bit of irritation. "Give me a quick sec." He tells her and heads over to the ramen stall and comes back with a tool box.

"You don't need to replace it, I can fix this...as for the price...I dunno 10 or 15 dollars should be enough for a halfway decent meal." he muses to himself and decides on the price. "Thirteen." he says already having started on the work. Well if she couldn't pay he supposed he couldn't rightfully leave her here anyways, besides maybe she could pay later in that case. She seemed like the soft kinda kid that could ask her parents for stuff and expect them to provide.

Sophia watches as Lance leaves and returns with a tool box. She’s pretty thankful for her luck. Now, she could get home by some reasonable time. “Thirteen dollars…” Considering that bicycle chains normally were over $20 and that didn’t include the cost of having some install it for you, it was a fair deal. The comment about a decent meal probably would have gotten her to pay more than that.

She hands him the equivalent in Japanese yen, but she asks in English, “American, right? Thanks for doing this. Hey, do you want a slice of cake?” She gestures to the cake box. “It’s chocolate.” The senshi/knight team hopefully wouldn’t mind a slice missing. And she felt a little guilty carrying around chocolate cake if someone was going hungry.

As Lance takes his payment he tucks it into his back pocket and rises, having fixed the chain. "As fair warning while I fixed the chain it's not as study as a new one would have been. I'd suggest getting a new one in the next month or two. If you'd like I can fix the bike up at a lower price than an official shop assuming you're okay with giving me the time to do so." he explains handing her his card. It said 'Evan's Odd Jobs'.

"I've fixed up stuff like this before. If you want to find me in person come down to the Ramen shop." He explains then when she offers him a slice of cake he gives her a slightly surprised expression and then accepts the cake and digs in on the spot. "Oh~ this is quite good, though a bit sweet for my tastes." he admits, a blunt edge to his compliment. To be honest Lance didn't really like sweet things very much.

"Well thanks for the cake." he thanks licking his fingers and beginning to depart.

An explosion breaks out near the pair of young ones.

A fire blast had been thrown at them, but the aim was way off and landed about ten feet away leaving only a sense of heat, fear, and anxiety among the two. When they look to the west, they will see a woman garbed in black skin-tight armor, with a number of spheres of flame around them. The hair was red and aglow with unnatural energy, while her face was lovely yet filled with murderous intent. The red eyes had irises the shape of a diamond. Her height rose to six feet, and her gloved hand reaches for another sphere, flinging it at the two with a more accurate trajectory.

A random JSDF officer hears the commotion and arrives, drawing his handgun and aiming it at the creature.

"Halt! JSDF! Get down on the ground with your hands behind your head."

The creature looks at the man, before spinning and flinging another firey ball at him, the officer not properly prepared for supernatural battle ends up taking a hit as the sphere landed on the ground, causing second degree burns and moans of pain to emerge from the smoke that was rising.

Sophia really wasn’t expecting the business card, but takes it anyways. “Yeah, I’ll probably be back to actually get a good repair at some point.” Lower prices were lower prices, and she didn’t have any loyalty to the bike shop really.

She looks over to the Ramen shop. Odd business location, but she guesses it got enough traffic past it. “Umm. Ok.”

As he mentions the cake being too sweet, she looks a little sad. “Too bad. I couldn’t afford the ones in Ginza, so I thought coming down here would be a close enough second…” Hopefully, it wasn’t too sweet for her friends taste.

However, the boy seems to wolf it down pretty quick whether he likes it or not. “Thanks for helping me out.”

As the boy is about to walk off, the fire blast was unexpected. Pretty unlucky for there to be an attack in the middle of a crowded area. However, this wasn’t the first time she got attacked just after meeting a boy… That fire ball was aimed at them. And the youma did attack people before they awakened.

The JSDF getting involved is doubly unlucky. The burns looked pretty bad and probably required some medical attention. However, healing him now left all three of them open to another attack, and he probably couldn’t handle taking another fire ball. She prays he can wait until she took down this youma. The smoke is thick, so she had enough cover in order to do a transformation without much more than Lance probably noticing.

She looks at Lance, “I know this seems crazy, but stick next to me.” There was no room for messing up again, and she needed to move quickly. She wants desperately to be able to protect everyone this time, and she would pray for the youma after its defeat. She takes out her pen, and says, “Venus Power, Make Up.” Sophia then stands orange and yellow senshi attire with an orange mask and her hair now reaching past her knees. “Bow of Eros”, she says as a magical bow appears in hand. She tries to use the cover of the smoke to land a surprise shot against the youma and then releases an arrow of light.

As the youma begins to emit murderous intent Lance’s head snaps around to stare at it. A wild grin appears on his face as his eyes focus on a monster shaped like an attractive woman. “Well now~” he says, his feral grin widening as he begins to move towards the woman. He watches with surprise and excitement as she burns an officer and he continues his advance towards her. He shrugs off his coat revealing his well muscled frame and aggression, violent intent, and excitement seemed to flow off of him in waves.

“Well now, just who’s turf do you think you’re lighting up there little lady?” He asks her however as he notices the arrow of light fire towards the monster he turns around finally noticing Sailor Venus.

“Don’t get in the way, take care of the officers.” He orders in a militaristic tone, however his eyes would carry a very different message. They weren’t the calm eyes of a soldier trained for battle, nor the eyes of a scared civilian trying to be a hero, they were the eyes of a feral beast, the eyes that only someone who lived a life of battle, hatred and pain could obtain.

Lance returned his attention to the woman and he felt the thrill of a battle building within him. The adrenaline, the focus, there was no feeling like it. He exalted in the thrill and then he advanced hands up raised and battlelust churning up a storm within him.

The white mau had been bolting ever since he had noticed the dark energy in the area. When he approaches the scene and he finds his charge Sophia and another young man facing a youma, the cat could sense something coming off the young man. A bubble of sweat goes down his head. It seemed way too convenient that whenever a youma hit there was a senshi or knight nearby. Plus there were the fact that there were a lot of them. He watches from a nearby alley where Lance was about to go banana crazy on the youma.

'Sophia! be careful! Hey, boy! Get over here, I can help you beat that thing!" the white cat says peeking out then hoping Lance would come over. If the cat was right, there was another guardian here.

Sophia puts down the bow to do a double take at Lance. “WHAT?! You’re the one who should be staying back.” He wanted to punch a youma… as a normal person. She wonders if he missed the part about the military officer getting singed or the boy was actually that level of insane. The sense of violence coming off him was surprising. So atypical.

Artemis was the most normal thing about this situation. She nods as he says to be careful. A fire extinguisher would be helpful if she was launching those fiery spheres. An idea forms. Most buildings were required to have fire extinguishers… She readies her bow and launches an arrow at the youma. Then, she starts moving. Hopefully, the youma would give chase as she moves into a building and grabs the first fire extinguisher she can find. At the very least, it would be a little blinding.

As Sophia tells Lance to stay back he simply ignores her and the cat. This was a battle now and that meant there was no room for distraction. As Lance continues to advance his strides steadily get more fluid and longer making it look almost like he was flowing towards the youma. The aggression surrounding him only seems to increase as he gets closer and it begins to transform into a murderous intent that matches if not overwhelm's the youma's.

"..." Lance remains silent as he finally finishes closing the distance, weaving between whatever fire the youma shoots at him. While he avoids direct hits skin was starting to turn a cooked reddish color. However, when he finally finishes closing the gap he executes an expert combination of attacks, beginning with a foot stomp and ending with an elbow towards the neck carrying a strangely lethal precision for the uncultured violence that the youth displays.

The youma is first hit by the arrow of light launched by Sophia, not anticipating a magical attack coming. It lands in her upper right chest causing a mild amount of flesh damage. When Lance approached, the youma notices that there was something odd about him as well. These two could be dangerous. As he reached to do a foot stomp, the youma jumped back and launched a large burst of fire that would likely engulf the boy within, the flames lingering for a few moments while the youma leapt to the top of a street light.

It looks down at Sailor Venus, her eyes turning narrow.

"What are you. You are not human." she says firmly, not attacking at the moment, but rather taking an analytical approach to this situation. As far as the youma was concerned, Lance was neutralized.

As the fire comes at him Lance hits the deck and uses his thick jacket to protect himself from the flames. As the fire passes Kousuke tosses the coat aside and looks at it a bit sadly. "That was my favorite coat." He grumbles as he flexes his hands feeling the burn of the fire damage along his arms. It wasn't anything permenant but if he didn't treat it soon there might be some pretty bad scaring. However the burns cannot conceal the multitude of scars that cover Lance's arms. There were several angry ones on his upper forearm that looked like they could be from knife wounds as well as one on his outer right bicep that looked like a bullet graze.

"I'm going to crush you~" He growls as he moves back to the injured MP's body and draws his gun firing it expertly at the creature several times.
