“I wanted to give you all your end of the unit assignment. I like more interesting assignments, so I want you all to create and rehearse a skit using some of the words, idioms, and other things we learned in our conversational, food, and travel units. I’ll give you a few days to figure out what you want to do. I won’t put a limit on group side. Just make sure you understand sentence structure, pronunciation, and meaning. There will be some points for creativity, so have fun,” Shun says. “I want the skits to be in English. No Japanese. Anyway, I will give you the last 10 minutes of class to brainstorm some ideas with people. You will all be presenting on Wednesday.”

Amarissa sighed as she made notes about this English project. "This is going to be embarrassing," she muttered. Tossing her silver hair over her shoulder, she looked at her few friends here. "So, who wants to partner up and start brainstorming?" she asked quietly. The poor girl looked exhausted, a deep set tiredness behind her light blue eyes. Her uniform was impeccable though, as usual, and she was doing a good job of hiding everything with her steadfast calm.

"Oh! I've got an idea!" says an upbeat voice from behind Ama "lets do a food pun based skit." Kousuke suggests with a look of excitement on his face. Kousuke enjoyed stupid jokes and puns and since skits meant that the assessment would be verbal Kousuke actually stood a chance of doing reasonably well. After all he was a fluent speaker, even if his speech was extremely colloquial.

Amarissa shrugged. She didn't care what they did really. "Alright, what did you have in mind?" she asks Kousuke, in english to be funny, her Japanese accent sounding exotic and light as she turns to a fresh page in her notebook. She titles it 'english food skit' and draws the old happy/sad theater mask symbol in the right hand upper corner. Amarissa was great in english and therefore wasn't at all worried. She assumed Kou also did well, since he could speak it quite fluently.

Yuki was taking her usual nap at this time of the day, when the sounds of classmates discussing some sort of project eventually managed to wake her. Scanning the room, it seemed groups were already forming and she needed to find a good one in order to manage not failing English.

She eyes landed on Kousuke….from what she had heard from him, he was a fluent speaker…and it seemed he was talking with that Amarissa girl who seemed like the smart type to Yuki.

Definitely a good group choice.

”Hey guys, do you have room for one more?” Yuki asked, approaching the two of them. Yuki might be terrible when it came to English, but she did at least have charisma going for her which might help in skit based assignment.
