As Noboru looks back at the board, he smiles. “Well, you all will be happy to know that we are just about done talking about matrices and unit 2. We will probably finish up this Friday. So next Friday, we will have a test on it, giving you about a week to study and look over what we have done so far for unit 1 and 2. I know everyone says, but it is incredibly important you understand these units before we move on. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask before the test. But that’s pretty much it for today’s class.” Noboru returns to his desk and uses hand sanitizer to help take the chalk dust off his hands. As he starts rubbing his hands, he gives an odd look, and stops. “Ok. That’s glue. But I deserved that one.”

It was a typical day for Amarissa, meaning she could be found in class like a good little student taking notes on the assignments, upcoming tests, and anything else she felt was important. Math wasn't her strongest subject but she usually managed to squeak by. Still, she wrinkled her nose at the announcement of the test. She didn't feel quite ready. Most of the unit had confused her. Turning to her small group of friends here, she pulled a pleading look.

"Can any of you please help me to understand this? I am quite horrible with numbers, it gives me a headache," she says sincerely, her blue eyes wide and her silver hair framing her face in the cutest puppy look.

"Alright I've gotta pay attention." Says a determined voice as Kousuke was surprisingly taking notes, math was one of his only good subjects so he needed to make sure he did well in it since all of his other grades were in danger as it was.

Sophia makes a face when he announces the first test. Tests were always a slightly nerve-wracking experience. She writes down the date of the test in her notebook, and next to it, she puts the word “STUDY” in about 5 different languages, written in bold. Supposedly, Sophia shakes her head at Ama’s question. She was about average in the class, not bad but not good either. “I don’t think I’ll be much help. I’ve done alright on the homeworks, but I’m not really amazing at it. But do people want to form a study party?”

She looks over at Kousuke after his declaration, and then notices his notebook. “Wow, your notes are really detailed.” In comparison, she feels embarrassed over her messily written math formulas and solution.

Yuki had been doodling and making random sketches in her notebook, having clearly not taken any actual notes from the class. The word test however made her panic slightly. Thinking for a moment, she tried to think of some way to get herself caught up, with minimal effort on her part. Now that she thought about it....for some reason she had recently been getting messages in her shoe locker addressed by the “Math Club”. How such a club got Yuki’s name was beyond her but the manipulative side of her wondered if she could somehow use this to her advantage.

Before coming to a conclusion on this, Yuki perked up at the mention of a study group.

”I’d be down for getting together sometime,” she spoke, turning her head over towards Sophia, Kousuke, and Ama.
