Sophia walks up the shrine. She vaguely remembered the customs, but she hasn’t gone enough to remember all of them. She never counted herself as deeply spiritual before.

She bows at the Torii gate before entering it, and enters through the left of center line. She washes her hands at the fountain like she is supposed to. Once she gets to offering box, things get a little jumbled. She puts a coin in them, and then can’t remember what to do next. “Ring the bell, clap three times, and bow twice? Or bow, clap hands, and bow twice again, then ring the bell?” she mumbles to herself. She ends up bowing once, ringing the bell, bowing twice, and then clapping twice. However, she is pretty certain that she screwed something up here.

She looks around the area for signs of the rest of the club. Or the Priestess. However, the area was distractingly beautiful. She did have to admire how well maintained the shrine was.

”AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! UN PURE DEMON!”

A screech was heard across the shrine grounds. Fallowed by a peel of evil laughter. If fallowed into the building she would find a very odd site. Val stood over Momiji laughing as the young miko rolled around on the floor covering her ears. Botan just sat stunned.

And there it was… a break in the peaceful quiet. If anyone was attempting to pray, they surely would have been disrupted. However, it was clearly a sign that Valdis and the mikos were about. She really would have preferred a nice meeting with the Priestess that the mikos seemed so fond of instead of the screaming. Sophia walks up the group of girls. Momiji falling to the floor seemed to her to be a regular occurrence at this point. She attempts to pull Momiji up to her feet. “While I am glad it wasn’t difficult to find the rest of the club, what happened here?” she asks Botan. She seemed the most composed and sane of all the people there.

And in the corner was Kail with his hand on his face looking rather ashamed looking as he knew that Val had did her evil plotting ways. Earlier Kail had shown up before most people and was waiting for the other members to show up at the temple. At that time the Miko's in training he met a few days ago came up to him and asked several questions. A lot of them were about him about his likes, dislikes, what he did for hobbies. Most of them as personal questions about him, which Kail did not mind answering. Although slightly oblivious that both Momiji and Botan were blushing while asking him. As it seemed that they were both crushing on him since he was the only good looking guy that had signed up. Then they got to the question that made him think a bit. On how he knew Valdis, so Kail used a modified version on the story that he gave his mother. He used the same thing but traded out the youma for a overdosed ex-manager that came back for revenge. He bravely faought the guy off although caused the manager that she had to leave her high and dry.

Then they interrupted him to ask one question if he was single, the question derailed his currant train of thought that he had his mouth hanging wide open. As he was about to answer though Valdis came out of where ever she was hiding…he was pretty sure she just jumped out of the ceiling. Kail saw the evil intent behind her eyes as she came up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck while placing one finger on his lips. ‘You might as well tell them yes; your mother didn’t seem to approve of me sleeping over with you. You’ll have an easier time with these two…just be gentle. They can’t handle what I can.’ And other mature innuendo , it caused both girls to go pale in the face. Val eventually released him and went over to Momiji and whispered something about his anatomy into her ear which caused the young miko to fall over and cover her ears not wanting to thing that Valdis's words were true. Kail tried to speak up but the demon of a woman Valdis mouthed the words Kyrie and made him shut his mouth. She turns back to her prey and just laughs how easy it was to fool with her mind. And all the while Boton's mind was trying to reboot on what happened.

Kail turns to Sophia Normal Valdis shinanigans although....why does this keep happening to me" he said and just sighed since he could not do anything about it. He reaches into a pocket of his coat and pulls out a small tin of pockie and takes a stick out and munches on it. So he could at least get his mind off of things or until both girls recovered. "Why are those two easily swayed by Valdis" he thought aloud.

Valdis giggled; that was way too much fun. But they deserved it…she was getting annoyed by the Ofuda slapping. She played with her long purple hair braiding it. She was dressed in traditional miko garb giving her an innocent look. A wolf in sheeps clothing according to the other two. Her gaze traveled to little mouse when she showed up.

”Ello little mouse”

Valdis stepped over Momiji before she was helped up off the floor. Casually swiping a pocky from Kail.

”Its cause you make it so easy; that and you don’t get all giddy and jumpy when I pull you in”

An honest answer from the twisted girl. She liked people who played along, it made things so much more amusing. She nibbled on the pocky; oh how she loved the chocolate coating…. She had to admit she had a weakness for sweet things.


Botan blinked and she looked over at Sophia…she was attempting to regain use of her thoughts. They were slow to come.

”Pure ears were not meant to hear that….Valdis Priestess Rei will be sorely disappointed in you. How could you give your flower away at such a tender age and you Kail I tho…”

Valdis held up her hand stopping them. One thing she did learn while staying with Kail was it was unfair to make a dig at his honor. That and she did take a bit of pity for the few people she actually did enjoy spending time with.

”Relax, his mom jumped to the same conclusion when he brought me to his house to rest for the night. We stayed in separate rooms and for that matter despite what I say I have not even had my first kiss. So my flower is quite in tact and Kail is certainly not the gardener”

As much as she disliked to end a joke it was necessary.

At that Momiji perked up, easily recovering from what trama she had suffered. Both of the miko’s looked to each other then Kail. So he WAS single!

Sophia looks at Botan and Momiji and then shakes her head a little. “Feeling calmer?” she asks them both. It hardly seemed worth all the hysterics at the possibility of Kail and Valdis hooking up. However, she could hardly imagine the two of them in a relationship. She mostly wanted Kail to date with Botan because it seemed romantic, and she was the most mature of the two. And a date would probably help him with writing romance. However, she couldn’t come up with anyway of making that work out.

However, the fact that Valdis had never kissed anyone surprised her. "Really?" she says before she could stop herself. Sophia could hardly talk though; she hadn’t really been on a date before either. Though she thought surely Valdis had offers, and maybe one of them was even nice. “Guess we are all in the single’s club… I'd say we could rant about boys, but Kail is here,” she jokes. She hardly wanted to be single, but she had yet to meet someone who made her heart skip. “But on to a less lame topic. So what’s the plan for the paranormal club today?”

The commotion between Valdis, the Miko Twins, and others pulled the attention of the High Priestess herself at this point. The fact that she didn't come immediately was probably a sign that at this point, she was getting far too used to Valdis causing trouble around the shrine. It was mostly harmless, if not noisy, but she had to allow for a little give and take sometimes. As she made her way across the temporarily clean walkway, she simply holds back at about fifteen feet away, waiting for a moment of quiet before she herself spoke.

"Ahh, I see the... 'Paranormal Club' that you three started is working today. Should we expect anybody else to arrive?"

What in the seven hells was that? I swore I just heard a girl screech. Quickly I picked up my pace; really that scream didn’t sound good. Looks like I wasn’t the only one worried; a cute pig tailed girl with mouse brown hair reached the door before me. Seeing how she wasn’t screaming I slowed to my normal comfortable pace. The Gym coach liked to call it turtle speed, while I say those little guys got the right idea. I poked my head into the door; there was already a small crowd gathering. Guess this was the place to meet.

I ended up signing up for this Paranormal club…One I need an extracurricular activity to pass this year and two it seemed interesting and someone I use to attend grade school with was in the club. It would be interesting seeing the devil incarnate again. At the very least it would be entertaining.

Low and behold I was right; it already started off intriguing. I gave a small wave to the purpled hair demon; boy had she grown. Large breasts…not a Japanese trait you defiantly could tell she came from over seas. I quietly went and took a seat in the corner; a bit shy to meet the rest.

Kail just sighs and lets Valdis take his pocky from him,since the redhead knew how Valdis's mind work that was her asking. So he takes another one and eats it and just felt a bit bad for the twins a bit. Although them beliving Valdis this entire time though was a tad saddend that she was messing with them. He listens to everyone speaking and looked over at Sophia with a not amused look on his face. "Oh sure Sophia rub it in why don't you" he said sarcasticly and had a small laugh until it was disturbed by the miko of the temple. Kail then gets himself a little bit more proper looking as he had to pay his respects to the miko. "Greetings Rei-dono" he said in a very respectful manner and bowed in the same manner to the elder woman. Since he always came to a temple to pray when he needed guidance and blessing for completing a book, or winning a tournament.

His head turns to a new person showing up and it was blond haired male that looked a bit out of sorts. To Kail's reasoning that he joined the club as well, and was glad that he was not going to be the only male in the club. Although the redhead did not know what the goal of this club was. Since he did hear Sophia speak about what was going to be going on with the club.

Botan blinked at Valdis for the surprising confession…she wasn’t sure how to process this information. Exactly how as this possible…with Valdis being well Valdis she would have figured that girl would have already lost her flower long ago. Never mind still have yet to receive her first kiss. She looked over at Momiji who was just as flabbergasted. However that did mean that the red head was free.

Momiji continued to stare at Val, her mouth hanging open slightly. One question was on her mind.

”How?”

Valdis looked between them and Sophia when they both acted shocked that she never had her first kiss. Then she looked over at Kail, she needed help explaining this.

”Kail you find me attractive to the eyes yes? However my attitude is to off putting to be much more.”

She turned back to the others.

”There’s that and the fact I simply do not have the personal time to pursue relationships. Nor the interest I find most people including boys boring. Why would I be with something that did not keep my interest?”

Momiji blanked once more, no wonder she never got kissed with that unromantic attitude. She was about to comment when another boy walked into the room. He didn’t say a word but he seemed to know Valdis. Well then again who didn’t know Valdis. A grin crossed her face as she waved to the new comer.

”HELLO! Welcome! Whats your name!”

Valdis looked over at the new boy, something was familiar about that spacey stare and she was trying to put her finger on it.

”Do I know you? Also Kail what is wrong with being single?”

Her attention as taken off of him when granny walked into the room; true to her word she had been indulging her antics lately. Which meant the giddy gits were in deeper shit then they realized. Although she was being nice to the old women and keeping the more extreme antics off of the shrine grounds.

”Hi Granny and no clue blondie here was a surprise member, so honestly I dong know who will show up….wait did you say three? Don’t include me with the giddy gits, they signed me up without me knowing. “

At the nick name both Momiji and Botan glared at Vadis, as they bowed to Rei. They showed her the proper respect that she was due. Valdis didn’t even bow to her…. Something which peeved both the girls off. Botan straightened and addressed Rei.

”Rei sama we would be honored if you could give us a brief history in the paranormal activities of this shrine. We think it would be a great way to get things started.”

“Off-putting? Bah. I find you fun to be around,” Sophia responds to Valdis. Valdis was at the very least never boring. Sure, sometimes she was rude. However, she was also capable of being kind and nice. “So your personality and looks are no excuse. However, I guess that doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t interested in anyone.”

“There is nothing wrong with Kail being single. I just find it odd. The two of you could find dates in heartbeat…” Kail had managed to attract the hearts of just about every girl in his class. And Valdis was a good person after the initial meeting even if she wouldn’t it admit it herself.

She turns to the newcomers. The boy looked about their age, but she didn’t recognize him. Maybe he was in a different class or school. She assumed the woman was the Priestess that the mikos seemed to adore. And Valdis gave her nickname which indicated some kind of attachment. “Hello, I am Sophia. A pleasure to meet you both,” she says with a bow.

”Really!? You don’t remember me? I was shocked how could that girl not remember me. A pout formed on my lips as I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. ”Grade School? You were six….It was your first day…You glued my face to my desk..How could you not remember that?! It took three school nurses to get me off that desk.”
I looked back over at the cute girl I fallowed in. ” Hello, you can call me Kenny”I smiled sweetly at her and the others. ”I know Val but I don’t know the rest of you...Also can I ask why there was screaming? I got here kinda late….but if she’s here I can guess”

I bowed to the priestess and became quiet when Val asked if she could explain some of the paranormal history of the shrine. My Grandmother always taught me to listen to my elders….Pluss I’m pretty sure she attends this shrine. I would hate to have word get back to her that I was rude…it would mean the belt…I wasn’t to fond of the belt.

Rei nods at the Mikos' request to go into the history of the paranormal activity around the shrine. She waits until the group was comfortable, noting that there was another member coming in a bit later and bowing. The kids had very good manners. Most of them anyway. The Priestess didn't acknowledge the conversation about dating since it was of no direct concern to her. She motions for the others to follow as she begins to walk along the pathways of the shrine.

"The Spiritual World is a very real one. There are entities known as Kami that permeate the land, being an active part of the world around you. These spirits and entities have every influence around them, though many are often unnerved by the presence of what you know as the Covenant. Ever since that cult's activities began, the Kami are always at unrest. Most people aren't aware of these phenomena, mainly because they are not attuned to the spiritual in a sense. Also, you cannot communicate with the kami in the same sense that you would a conversation with a human. Many spirits are benevolent, however on occasion malevolent spirits will try to interact with the world. These spirits can even possess objects or people, and can only be forced out through the use of an exorcism. An exorcism is a technique that allows you to use the strength of your soul and positive energy to expel a dark force from an object. It takes much practice and concentration to use the technique to it's full potential, but it is easy enough to begin with. I will show you this technique later, and how to make the Ofuda that Exorcism requires." Rei says, standing in front of the main shrine where prayers are able to be heard and waiting for the group to catch up.

Kail turns to Valdis on her question that she was easy on the eyes but her personality offset this by a great deal. "I can not argue with you there Valdis. As it is the truth for the most part" he said as there had been moment where she was not a total witch. But then her comment about being single well he tried to answer the best way he could. "I have been rather busy when I was in high school. No more like I was in my own world for a long time. Until certain events have happened to me and made me wake up. That I was well alone in a sense that...could complete me. I know that I have friends and family but this feeling is diffrant" he said not sure if Valdis could understand it. Or perhaps some of the other women there.

This would have answered Sophia's question in general and he turned his gaze back to the guy that was calling himself Kenny. A raised eyebrow as he was talking about Valdis being a terror to him. Kail just lightly chuckled at the thought and then saw the Miko get everyone's attention and walked over. She started to talk about the spiritual world and the Kami. This got his attention and was listening intently on what Rei was saying. Even the possibility of making Ofuda to exorcise spirits and demons. Kail wondered if this could be applied to his powers of being the Mars knight. If this could be done, then there would be an advantage if he was facing off against something if he was on his own.

”Then little mouse you have taste, sadly most do not”

At least Little Mouse managed to find humor in being around her, perhaps she wasn’t such a lost cause. When Kail spoke Valdis shrugged she didn’t like the idea of depending on another to complete oneself; but that was her opinion and she wasn’t about to force it on another. But that whole idea irked her, if someone else completed you that also meant that if that person ever went away so did apart of yourself…to lose that control just didn’t seem pleasant to Valdis. Hence the reason she didn’t mind being single.

Val looked over at Kenny, her face blanketed in a look of concentration. Then a look of triumph crossed her features as she remembered who he was.

”Ahhh I remember you now, I also filled your shoe’s with play doe”

Valdis smiled sweetly, it was always nice to meet past victims. When he asked what had happened Val took a step forward caressing his face.

”Would you like me to show you”

She grinned her voice deep and husky. Though her teasing was cut short as granny began to speak; well that certainly sounded like fun but she did have a question. She raised her hand.

”How is that going to work for me?”
