As she gained a glare Valdis responded by lightly bopping him on the nose and giggled. She motioned for lucky charms to have a seat, no point in standing when everyone else had already plopped down. Valdis let out a squeal with the dogs came barreling in, before long Val was up and diving into the back of dogs, instantly creating havoc as they began to wrestle. It would seem this was Valdis normal greeting for them, by the time they started to calm down Val had her arms draped around two of there necks while another was sprawled out on her lap. The fourth was just sniffing around. She looked over at Sophia when asked why she didn’t mention that she had dogs.

”Was there a reason to mention them before?”

Her eyebrows shot up when Ama mentioned she had no pets, that didn’t sound right.

”Wait what happened to the traitorous bastard? The one who snubbed me to go to you?”

Val really did wonder what happened to that cat. The hound that was sniffing around walked up to Kail and shoved its nose into his crotch as dogs were likely to do. Completely ignoring the terrified fox. When he asked for the dogs to be called away the look that Val gave him could peel paint.

”My hounds are very well trained thank you very much and it is rude to demand for them to be locked away. Aya will not be harmed by them and its obvious with a reaction like that you’ve failed to socialize her properly”

Valdis had a glare like no other; what he asked would be like her going to his house and brining one of her hounds and then demanding Aya get locked up for growling at one of her precious hounds. She looked at one of them sniffing Kails crotch.

”Aengus come”

The large dog trotted over to Val happily sitting next to her.

”To introduce you all, the crotch sniffer is Aengus, one on my left is Conan, the one in my lap is Darcy, and last but not least is Nora”

She scratched the only female of the group on the head.

”As for the human introductions, the pink haired one is my Rosaline, Amarrissa is whitey, you already met Sophia, the Red dog hater is Kyrie, the dog lover is Kouko, and the other red lass is Keitha she speaks mostly English and hails from the same land as these four brutes. Speaking of which go lie down”

The four made themselves comfortable, Aengus when over and decided to sit right next to the dog hater, Nora went and laid down behind Ito, Conan went to go keep Keitha company. While Darcy just stayed in Valdis’s lap. Obviously Val decided they were going to stay and the dogs always listened wonderfully to her. After all she grew up with them, although Darcy was always her special buddy. He was the one that usually got into the most trouble if left to his own devices. Oddly enough he was behaving for the mean time. Val pushed her now messed up hair out of her face, her hair was slightly messy do to her greeting with the four large dogs.

”Ok everyone dig in! I want to get to the fun part of the evening!”

While Nora was walking to her place behind Ito, she accidentally bumped the table, and the resulting vibration inadvertently causes a glass of water to fall into Yuki's lap. The rest of the table remains intact.

Amarissa laughed at the comment about Luna, the song ringing like bells in the large room. Reaching over to pet Conan who had sat next to Keitha, she didn't answer right away. "The black cat from the park? She took a liking to a male friend of mine instead. Perhaps I'll get a pet someday," she said giving Val an annoyed look at being referred to as whitey, then sighing. Valdis was unusual, almost a force of nature in herself. There really was no arguing with her.

Wiping her hands on her napkin, she then set it in her lap and began to help herself. Amarissa filled her plate with a little of everything and her eyes widened as she took a bite. "This is delicious!," she exclaimed, smiling. Watching the exchange between Kyrie and Val, she made a mental note never to ask anyone to remove their pets. It sounded very rude and inconsiderate when you were only a guest. She didn't say anything though, content just to raise her eyebrow at the red head as if to ask "is this really a good time for that?' before continuing her meal, slowly.

“I am pretty much fond of most pets. I don’t think I could ever convince my mother to let me have a dog, especially one as large as these,” Sophia answers Yuki.

“You can’t expect not to be snubbed by cat when you own so many dogs. I am pretty sure the cat could probably smell them on you,” Sophia says as Valdis talks about a black cat. However, as Amarissa talks about her black cat and her male friend, she can’t help but wonder if they are talking about Luna here. Luna did arrive to the theatre with Amarrisa and the other senshi and knight…

However, food distracts her from that train of thought. “Fun part of the evening? This has been great so far. And the food is amazing.” Taking another bite, she notices the water fall on Yuki. That was a bit of bad luck. She passes her own napkin to her friend.

Keitha nodded at Amarissa, "Thanks mate," she muttered as she took a seat and got her a plate of food and eating on it slowly. She didn't really speak to anyone because at the moment most of them were speaking Japanese and she didn't understand hardly five words out of the entire language, so she sat in silence until the dog came over and she grinned. He wreaked of home, the hounds back in her neighborhood weren't purebred, but you could definitely tell the ones who had Irish Hound in them, and he was absolutely beautiful. She grinned and scratched behind his ears, "Et there boyo arent you a beut?" Keitha chuckled as the dog nudged her hand as she took it back, "Oh alright." She gave him another scratch behind the ears, "Now I gotta get back ta eaten, an i'd give ya scraps but I think yer mum would av a cow if I did that." She sat back up and attempted to eat the rice with a pair of chop sticks and failing horribly.

Adoji lets out a small sigh when Valdis pulled her expected reaction of running over to the dogs and greeting them. Even in the presence of company she lacks the decorum to withhold her impulses. While he knows she would fight against it tooth and nail if he tried to compel her otherwise, he did wish she showed a little more restraint in public. The fox caught his attention, but Valdis handled the situation as well, which gave him a little hope. She certainly knows how to stand up for herself after all, an invaluable skill in a world where the masses of those who were unwilling to stand up often ended up pawns in a world. It was mean to think of it like that, but the analogy was true in Adoji's mind.

When Nora knocked the table and caused an accident, Adoji frowned.

"How unfortunate. I apologize for the unfortunate turn of events. The washroom is down the hall to the left." he says calmly then reaching and petting the hound at his side. "So, how have the schools been treating you all? Ever since the educational reform last year meant to improve the facilities and curriculum, I've been wondering what the results have been from the standpoint of day to day students." he says, glancing around the room. "And please, eat as much as you like at any time, this isn't meant to be a stuffy, formal occasion like some of you may be expecting."

Yuki nodded as Sophia told her about being fond of pets. She was just about to start eating the delicious looking food, when the water glass knocked over and fell into her lap.

”Oh darn,” Yuki tried to clean herself with her napkin and the one Sophia handed her, but the glass had been full when it spilled on her.

”Oh it’s alright,” Yuki spoke as she stood up to head down to the bathroom. Regardless of the incident not being her fault, she was still somewhat embarrassed at having been the one person to have already had something spill onto her. She nodded to her host before leaving the dining room down the hall towards the washroom. Once there, Yuki found a hair dryer and figured it would be ok to dry her clothes off with it. Once she was done she would head back down to the dining room.

Amarissa gave Kietha a smile. "Your welcome. I know you're a bit uncomfortable here with all the Japanese," she says. Amarissa had high grades in all her classes, including English and spoke it rather well because of that. She continued to eat in silence for a few minutes. The food really was delicious. Hearing the President ask about the school programs, she looks up. "The schools are doing great, sir. In my opinion. I actually find the curriculum this year slightly challenging and I appreciate that. The scheduling with homeroom is a little weird and somewhat unnecessary, I think. But overall, it's working quite well," she says, managing to sound polite and perhaps as if they were at a business meeting rather than a dinner.

Mirror View

As Yuki walked into the wash room she would find everything was quite normal. Tan walls, dark green granite counter tops, dark wooden cabinetry. The first odd thing Yuki would see was a hair dryer had already been placed in view. It was dark purple so obviously it was Valdis, perhaps she just left it in this bathroom and forgot about it. Above the sink also hung a grand old mirror, it was ornate but tied the bathroom together in an elegant fashion. As she began to dry herself off Yuki would notice a cool draft. A few seconds later the hair dryer would sputter as the lights flickered a bit. But that wasn’t really out of the ordinary, with the severe weather power tended to fluctuate every now and then, especially in the outskirts.

Suddenly

“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA”

BAM!

Blood splattered the mirror and a ghastly face hit the other side, clawing to get out.

Since Kousuke had been packing in the food since he had sat down he was already finished by the time the others were midway in. Without the food to distract him he started to feel uncomfortable and with the dogs distracting everyone else he decide not to stick around and wait to be asked awkward questions.

"I've got to use the washroom after her so if you'll excuse me." Kousuke gets up and leaves the room then begins walking towards the washroom until he gets distracted by a decorative suit of armor. He didn't really need to go anyways, and he beings trying to remember how to get to the entrance hall. There was a lot of cool stuff there if he remembered correctly.

Killian just shut up and sat down after feeling that he was getting all the hate on to him. Sighing he sits down to eat and the food was good and was eating it silently. Perhaps he should have gotten out of the sleep over. Since he had been really really rude since he had been inside of Val's home. Kail was thinking that he was not fitting in with the group in general. But he had to give this a chance to work though. But how could he fit in, when he is already acting like a ass. They were for the most part younger then him and it was just infuriating him to no end. He eyes whats happening around him and sees Yuki walk off to clean herself. Kail would be silent as he ate since he was in his own mind thinking on things.

He hears the president speak about the schools "Its been a challenge to say the least since I am taking a few classes at one of the collages. And I am putting most of my studies into creative writing and literature. So teaching classes while trying to learn is quite difficult, but I am managing quite well though" said Kail as he would keep his female tone of voice. Until he was away from the President and with the others privately.

If Sophia was honest, she hadn’t really noticed much of a difference between her classes before and now besides some scheduling things. The same classes she had difficulty with before, she had difficulties with now. And the same classes she did well in before, she did well in now. However, she would feel guilty saying as much. “It’s a little too early in the year for me to really say anything about that quite yet. But, most of my classes haven’t given out as much ‘busy work’ as they normally do. Like less worksheets and more talking to the class…” It was a true statement, but busy work was more of middle of a year type thing. Since the academic year just started, they probably wouldn’t have gotten anything like that.

She glances at Keitha struggling with chopsticks. She could relate as she had some memories of being younger and learning how to use them. She moves closer to her by taking over Yuki’s seat temporarily. “Yeah, we use forks at my home as well,” Sophia says to her, switching to English. “It’s a little easier to start by holding them closer to the front when picking things up. And when you get more practice, you can move your hand toward the back. However, to scoop, keep your fingers closer to the back.” She looks back at her own set, “Admittedly, it takes a bit of practice. It wasn’t until the beginning of Junior High that I got to be any good at it. After all, I normally only used them when I was out and about…”

Rosaline did not go to school, so she was thankful she did not have to participate in the polite small talk currently being discussed in the room. Instead, she silently went about eating her food, her posture and manners flawless. She did notice the one girl having difficulties with her utensils, but another was quietly trying to help her.

As she ate though, Rosaline began silently analyzing everyone in the room, a habit of hers. Most did not seem use to such an event, something she expected since Valdis had met most of them at her school. The girl with the long white hair, Amarissa, did speak politely and courteously, but her behavior was overly stiff for such an event, giving Rosaline the impression that her station of birth was no higher than most others in the room. Kousuke was interestingly much quieter in a large group of people than he was one on one, or at least when she had first met him. The red-headed girl did not appear to know much Japanese, nor was she likely familiar with its culture, so she was a bit harder to analyze. Yuki had just left the room, but both her and Sophia struck Rosaline as typical high school girls. Killian, she learned, was in college with a focus in literature it seemed. This intrigued Rosaline the most. There was definitely some key information she was missing, if a person such as him got to be Vadlis’ bodyguard.

In time she would find out. For now, Rosaline simply continued with dinner.

Yuki was just about finished drying her clothes, when the lights began to flicker slightly. She didn’t pay this much mind, as she turned off the hair dryer. Such things were pretty common nowadays with the weather being the way it was. When she looked up at the mirror however, the sudden image of a ghost, combined with the blood and the scream, caused Yuki’s heart to stop beating momentarily as she dropped the hair dryer on the floor.

Yuki screamed as she jumped back, knocking into the wall behind her before bolting from the bathroom as fast as she possibly could, nearly tripping on her yukata in her haste. Before she even knew where she was going, she knocked into Kousuke who was currently in the hallway, causing her to fall onto the floor.

”G-ghost…,” was all Yuki could manage to say, her face pale with fear. It was a mistake to let her guard down in probably one of the most haunted places in Japan, during the month when spirits were known to return to this world no less.

Valdis nodded, she was indeed talking about the cat that refused to accept her love. Since everyone was eating Val dug in herself. For one as odd and outrageous as Val her table manners were actually quite delicate. It was one of the few things her father managed to have ingrained in her. So many classes on etiquette… something’s were bound to stick and turn into habit. Valdis frowned when Nora accidently spilled the water…she usually didn’t bump into the table like that….Darcy was the clumsy one.

”At least it’s just water, though I would dry it off quickly or the dyes will run in the fabric.”

She was a bit worried for the Yukata, she wanted them to stay nice mainly because they were a gift for her guests. When the subject turned to the dogs Val smiled, she did like her four canine companions.

”Honestly I was surprised Dad here actually got them. No offense Daddy but you weren’t exactly the pet loving type.”

She grinned at her dad, truth was he wasn’t exactly the kid type when he first brought her over either…and there was that language barrier they had to cross. Which was when the dogs were introduced. Valdis glanced over at Conan who was happily licking Keithas fingers, at least someone made a friend. Val turned her attention back to her Dad when he asked about school, she let the others speak before putting her own to sense it…funny how this was the first time she was asked how school was going.

”Facilities are more than adequate; and the curriculum is good in theory. However classes are crowded, teachers are over worked, and the student body severely lacks enthusiasm. Honestly the money spent to improve the facilities would have been better put towards the staff…then we wouldn’t have college students teaching some of our classes.”

Val cleaned her plate. She was blunt and honest about what she thought about the schools, really what disappointed her most about them was the lack of enthusiasm in the school. It would seem as the year went on the less vigor the students had. But she guessed that was normal on some degree. Valdis looked up surprised when she heard the shriek. In an instant she was up and out of the room, obviously quite use to running around in a Yukata. She spotted Yuki on the floor near Kousuke just in time to hear her mutter ghost.

”Ooooo really?? Where”

The look on Valdis face was pure joy as she skipped down the hall to check out the bathroom….only to come back with a pout on her face. There had been nothing out of the ordinary when she went and checked.

”There’s nothing there…Yuki its not nice to get a girls hopes up”
